The quality seems to be going down, everything seems less good but more expensive. For DoorDash and other delivery options, I've been so disappointed I'm not going to order there again. they always remember any add-ons and charge me, but never seem to care about what I excluded since they don't charge for that. I just asked myself, "Have I really never reviewed Village Baker?" And then I realized I probably had reviewed the Sandy location, since that's the one I used to go to the most. But this location needs some love. Sometimes I go to Village Baker to get myself a strawberry salad. Sometimes I go to get myself a turkey cranberry on squaw (bread sliced thin, no mayo). Sometimes I go and get half of both. Sometimes I go just to get a giant slice of chocolate cake. Almost every time, my order is ready quickly. Every time, my order is correct and accurate. I love to buy their "reduce price" breads which are just as good as the regular ones. What has happened to catering? We called in (as we frequently do) for a chocolate cake (used to be 32.00). We asked that it not be cut. We picked it up. It was cut. More accurately, it was a reassembled cake. They took 10 pieces and put a cake together and charged us per piece and added a catering gratuity (what the @&$&@). Totaled 10.00 more than normal.... and it was the wrong order - they didn't even give us what we asked for. Do not think I have ever had a bad meal here and I have tried a number of different items on their menu. They have good pizza, good salads, good sandwiches and the staff is always so friendly. Unusually will order a salad or a sandwich,. My favorite sandwiches I have had here are the turkey and provolone, and the veggie an dprovolone. Their ingredients are super fresh and their provolone is sliced well, not too thick and not too thin. Their salads are also really good, did not notice that their southwest salad has olives, not a big deal cause I could pick them out with no problem, again super fresh ingredients. And the dressing they had for their southwest salad was really really good, a little spicy, tangy, but also creamy. Super good! When you go do not forget to get a slice of their cake, their banana cake and carrot cake are sooo good.
