I am so happy they came back! I had to definitely go back and check it out and the new spot is such an improvement from the previous one. Very big and bright deli. There are tables to sit in and enjoy your meal. I ordered take out but the flavor is still delicious as always! It was beyond amazing so see many familiar faces from the original village hero! I am def coming back to the new location! I love the fact that the menu is 95% the same!!!!!! Couple of new things but their menu items have been great!!!

Food is still top notch but the prices are way too high. One hero shouldn't be over $20. Too expensive for me.

Greeted with a smile at the counter, they took my to-stay order & directed me to where the fresh beans were to purchase. Love that they give you a number for your table so that you don't have to stand & wait. They made two trips to me, bringing my drink when ready (A+) and then the food. Plenty of comfortable seating, although it might be difficult on the weekend as they seem to do a constant business. Ordered an iced Pistachio Latte with an extra shot, served just right (no over-the-top-sweetness that you get in other shops) with pistachios on top. The Mongo toast was excellent: toasted seven grain bread with peanut butter, bananas, delicious granola with a honey drizzle. Will be back

Really wanted to like this spot, but overall everything was a little disappointing. The first…read morecoffee I got had some kind of flavor added, but I could barely taste it -- it mostly just tasted like milky coffee. The next time I tried a mocha, and again, the chocolate flavor was barely there. I also didn't enjoy the brie and jam toast at all. The jam was way too overpowering, the bread was overly toasted, and the side salad felt unfinished -- it was basically just arugula with a few pickled onions on top, which didn't really go well together. I've also tried their brownie and chocolate chip cookie, and both were a letdown. The brownie was dry and flavorless, and the cookie was just okay. It was made with milk chocolate, but I personally think it would've been much better with dark chocolate, maybe some flaky salt or browned butter for more depth of flavor. For a homemade cookie, I expected something that tasted more special and less like it came from a box mix. Because of the food, I probably won't go back, though I will say the décor is really nice and whimsical.

While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.

Portions are generous and the best dish of the night was the Dancing Shrimp appetizer (fried shrimp wrapped in kataifi). Overall, wouldn't mind coming back here if in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. One of the best features of the restaurant is the ambiance accompanied by good service. Bar is lively on weekends, and the dining area is spacious for table parties of 4-6.
