Pumpkin Supreme Pancake needs more topping
    Diane H.

Today's review is just for new items on the menu. Otherwise I love come to this place. Saw they were offering Cappuccino which I love. But the foam on top had a horrible chemical taste. It ruined the whole cup. The seasonal pumpkin pancakes taste great but need more toppings. It doesn't match the photo.

Village Inn - Largo, FL Every time we visit Florida, stopping at Village Inn is a family tradition, and this visit was no exception! The warm and welcoming service from Samantha V made our experience even better--she was genuinely friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. We ordered breakfast, and everything was delicious! The pancakes, in particular, were light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. It's always comforting to enjoy a meal that feels homemade and satisfying. The cozy atmosphere and great service keep us coming back. Whether it's for the tasty food or the nostalgic tradition, Village Inn in Largo never disappoints. Looking forward to our next visit! P.s. we were so full from our breakfast that we didn't order any pie! The pie is awesome!

First time at Village Inn! We started with onion rings to share, yummy! Hubby got the reuben which was delicious. I had the fried chicken sandwich. Our server Nichole L. was phenomenal! She said my sandwich would be good on the garlic Texas toast and she was right. She gave us many recommendations and was so friendly and such a great server. The only thing that was lacking were the fries. They needed to be a little more crispy. We got the apple pie warm with ice cream for dessert. Scrumptious!

They offered several Blue Bell ice cream flavors, including a few I'd never seen before. As soon as I spotted the Banana Cream Pie flavor, I knew exactly what I was getting. Served in a fresh waffle cone, it was absolutely delicious! The creamy banana ice cream with pieces of vanilla wafer throughout tasted just like the classic dessert. In fact, it was so good that we came back the very next night...and I ordered the exact same thing again! The staff was incredibly friendly and worked nonstop. Despite a steady line of customers and what seemed like over a dozen to-go orders, they kept everything moving with a smile. There's something special about finding a small, local spot like this. Great ice cream, friendly service, and a relaxed roadside atmosphere made it the perfect place to end our evenings. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area! I snapped zero pictures. I guess I was too excited for my ice cream!

Our server, Val, brought us a round of waters and menus, and we ordered some appetizers. We started off enjoying the peel & eat shrimp and coconut shrimp appetizers. Both were delicious. The peel and eat were large "reds" and coconut shrimp was nicely breaded, and crispy. For our entrées, we enjoyed two portions of grouper. Both were prepared with Cajun seasoning, which was very light and flavorful. We enjoyed steamed broccoli with each entrée. Parking is available out front as well as in front of the Paris café

They had a nice side salad and broccoli and corn which made it healthy at least. The service. Oh my. Linda. She is not friendly. I tried to order drinks and apps and she pushed getting dinner. She was rushing me that I almost forgot to order the bland oysters and gross BBQ barely cooked bacon wrapped scallops. When I tried to back up to order the apps. She literally yelled. Are you not going to order your kids entrees? Like accusing me of child abuse. The table next to us looked up. Then when I tried to order my son's dish w sides. She kept insisting / yelling w wide eyes. It only comes w fries. And I explained I'm not ordering the basket of shrimp. I'm ordering the entree. When she finally listened. She apologized and realized how rude she was coming across. Probably bc both my husband and kids as well as the other table had awkward shocked looks on our faces. She was much more pleasant after that. I tried not to take offense. Maybe the fan was distracting her from listening as it was blowing us out of the restaurant. The fan was on so high w the AC that everyone was freezing bc we came from the beach w wet bathing suits under our clothes. The kids kept going outside to warm up while we dove for our napkins and other items that flew off the table every min from the hurricane winds. I mean fan. We asked if they could turn it down or off and they said the other table wouldn't approve which was funny bc their child was wearing a hoodie and had to also go outside to warm up complaining loudly he didn't want to eat his chicken. He was too cold. Clearly they would have not wanted that fam off. They also are child abusers like us. I'm leaving detailed of a review bc I want a reminder that $160 later for a family of 4 isn't worth this and to not repeat this mistake bc we visit this beach often. Definitely walk farther.

We chose to sit outside, and even with the Florida summer heat, the overhead fans kept the patio comfortable, making for a beautiful evening. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. We loved the complimentary warm bread served with seasoned olive oil--it was a huge hit with the kids before our food even arrived. We started with the calamari, which was perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with two delicious dipping sauces. It disappeared quickly! For our entrées, the coconut shrimp was outstanding. The shrimp were large, coated in a crunchy toasted coconut breading, and paired perfectly with the orange blossom honey marmalade. The creamy garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and roasted tomatoes rounded out a delicious plate. We also ordered the crab cakes, which were packed with lump crab meat, perfectly seared, and complemented by the Creole mustard aioli. Our kids were just as impressed! The kids' fish and chips meal came with a surprisingly generous portion of flaky fish, crispy fries, and fresh fruit, making it an excellent value. Our other child ordered the adult cheeseburger entrée and couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. It was thick, juicy, perfectly cooked, topped with melted cheddar, and served on a soft bun with crisp lettuce and tomato. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. Combined with the relaxing outdoor atmosphere and exceptional service, Guppy's delivered a fantastic dining experience. It's easy to see why it's such a favorite on Indian Rocks Beach, and we'll definitely be back!
