Delicious Brazilian churascaria, one of my favorite restaurants in Irving! Even if you don't eat meat the salad bar and the sides will keep you happy. The grilled meats that are brought to your table rodizio style are on a par with Texas de Brazil's or Fogo de Chao. Only tried this because we love Texas de Brazil , used a groupon for 2 meals for 45$ meats were seasoned better than Texas de Brazil but the cheese bread which is my favorite, was hard and old. The salad bar was smaller and lacking taste. Their homemade cheese cake was hittin over all I would return to give it another chance. Very good date spot not crowded at all. I took a friend to try Rodizio dining a while back. It's located in this really small strip of historic, old Irving. It is kind of hard to find. Even though this place is extremely cheap for a taste of Brazilian style dining, the food did not come up to even the cheap standards. The sides were nothing to rave about, though I will say that they were authentic. The meats were dry, and the sirloin was extremely chewy and tough. The meat was definitely tolerable though. Edible, to say the least. One plus was the slices of grilled pineapple with syrup they sliced off the skewer fresh for you. Nothing stood out to me as outrageously good, but I guess if you'd like to try some cheap Brazilian style churrascaria. I wouldn't recommend it if you want really good meat, but it is nice to try this cuisine out at least, especially for cheap. read more

Under $10 for an all you can eat Brazilian churrascaria lunch. The quality of the meats and sides are a notch below the big boys (Texas De Brazil, etc.) but it is still a tremendous value. We went for Sunday lunch, and it was $12 per person. It was not on par with a churrascaria such as Texas de Brazil, but then neither was the price. They only had one type of beef (not too tender) along with chicken legs, sausage, and very dry pork loin. There was only one server, and the restaurant was almost full, so he didn't make the rounds quite often enough. The salad bar was very good as was the hot food bar. I would say it was a pretty good value. They let you bring your own bottle of wine, and the owner is very friendly. I wonder if the lamb at dinnertime is good. My coworkers love coming here. Its one of those all you can eat Brazilian steak house. I mean, for the price.. I guess its good. But they only have like 5 different types of meat to choose from and it seems like there is only 1 guy running around the whole restaurant serving the meats so getting your meat takes a while sometimes. I really only like one of the meat - the house special. Its tender and flavorful.. some of the others were a little dry but like I said, for how cheap it is, you can't really complain. The grilled pineapple is on point as is the grill plantain. Small salad bar but good enough. Good cheese bread. It's really not a bad place for lunch. This a great place to eat. They bring the food out to you in a buffet style. The cook all the meat that day, and it changes form day to day. They also have a small salad bar. The only complaint is that if you have a group of 5 you will be charged gratuity. They charge you for every soda you drink (comes in a can). After reading positive reviews, my friends and I decided to give it a try. We bought vouchers from Travel Zoo $37 for 4 people and $19 for 2 people (lunch). These vouchers don't include tax and 18% gratuity. We handed these 2 vouchers to a waitstaff there and she said nothing. We were told that drinks are not included even though it's included on the vouchers' fineprints. We're fine with that. There are 5 kind of meats that are served to tables. Chicken legs and sausages, grilled beef, pork, and picanha (also cinnamon grilled pineapples). There was only 1 person who serves those. So we waited for a while before we get the meats and we had to keep asking for the meats to be served. Imagine 1 server for 8-10 tables. The food quality can't be compared to Fogo or Rafain. It's not even close to Master Grill's. If we have to pick one among the meats, it will be the salty Picanha. Grilled pork is very dry, other meats are tasteless. We knew that the food quality will be different due to the cheaper price. I would have picked Master Grill over this place. The worst part came at the end. We were paying at the cashier, and the guy who served the meat was also the person who was at the cashier. We're told that tax and tips (18%) is $50 something. To our surprise, only one voucher was admitted because we're sitting in one table. We said that if that's the case then why the waitstaff didn't let us know. so we could split up. The guy accused us of trying to get free stuff without reading the fineprints (customer service at its best). We did pay for the vouchers, and 18% gratuity for lunch is not justified. At the end, we're charged around $28 which is more that we're supposed to pay. But we decided not to argue anymore, paid the bills, and left. We're left wondering why a restaurant with so many good reviews can be so different with what we experienced. The only lesson we can take with this experience is don't just trust the reviews. If you want to try Brazilian and don't want to go broke, then this is the place to go. You get the good food and atmosphere at a more reasonable price. The complaint I had was that I didn't know how it worked and it wasn't explained well. It's tho they expected if you were there you know what to do. Once we got past that, it was enjoyable. My kids don't like new stuff and didn't do well but I tried most everything. I thought all the meats were done well. I feel they really need to work on the sides. Decided to go on a weekday and had horrible service. there was about 4 other people there eating besides me and my husband. They came out once with the meat selection (about 4)and then STOPPED!!!!!!!! what a waste of 27 dollars a person! after tip and tax, our bill came up to 60 bucks. We have been loyal customers of Villas since the first day they opened. We usually have an awesome experience and we realize they are serving great food at a great price so we tip accordingly. It's usually just the two of us. We went yesterday, Valentine's Day, booked a table for 5:30 to be respectful, eat and leave so they had room for everybody else. We were seated at the worst table in an empty restaurant, in front of the cash register, and watched food fly out of kitchen past us. The first items we were served were inedible. They had a video crew there and asked us to be served meat on camera, what they served was raw. The waiter whispered he would bring us out something better, he didn't. We drank a whole bottle of wine waiting for food, my husband finally called a food server over and got something good, but we were ready to leave by then I still tipped quite well, even though the price had gone up $8 per person. So I know that this places main pull should be the meat, but I found the meat way too salty. It's like the only concept of seasoning these guys had was salt and more salt. However, the reason for the three stars is that the service was impeccable ( that should count for something, right?) and they had a fish dish in the buffet area that knocked my socks off. I went in to get some Brazilian cuts of steak and lamb chops when we sat down we requested for the lamb chops and they brought out the prat batch two each and it was mediocre well when we asked for more of the lamb the server said they were out. This was my biggest fear a Brazilian steak house should never run out of food let alone the best cut which I like and the only reason I came in. We asked to speak with a manager and when he came to the table we asked why they were out of that cut that was included in the dinner. He had no good answer of solution. Let alone there was only 4 tables at the time. Which explains why they are not busy because they don't give u food quality meats and charge u a big price. Going to Rafians or Fuego I'll pay more but I will get what I want. Avoid this place unless u want to get shorted. read more

Both times I cam was at lunch time. I was very excited to to try it out. Love the brazilIan restaurants . The meats were very tasty but I had to ask them twice to bring me my favorite cut just the second time. Then it never came around again. I just figured they were low. So I waited over a year to come back and it happen again! I tried another Brazilian Resturant that week and it was amazing!!! I give them 5 stars. It's little more money but so worth it. This was our first experience with a Brazilian steakhouse. I am no steak eater and I usually do not get my money's worth at buffet style restaurants, but this place was great! The variety of meat was excellent. The salad bar was slightly below average, but we didn't come for salad or sides. They serve you fried cheese puffs as the table starter which are good. Out of the eight meats we were served there was only one I did not care for just because of the excess salt. Saving the best for last...the pineapple. I am a huge fan of all things pineapple, but this pineapple was unexpectedly delicious!! Do not leave without tasting the pineapple. I have been going to Villa's since they opened and loved it. Last time I went (Sept 2011), I took my whole family for a birthday event. The service was horrible, the food was barely passable. When I commented to who appeared to be in charge, she just shrugged her shoulders. I also told them it was my son's birthday and asked for something special. They had me point out which one was my son and then nothing.. not even a birthday wish or nod. I won't be going back and I live in Irving and was excited to have a nice restaurant close by. I have been going to Villa's since they open years ago. I know that they have had changes in owners over the years. I have had great, good and bad experiences since the last owner ship. I have continued to return try them again. I have went from a weekly customer to a bi-monthly customer due to poor service. Although this is not my 1st bad experience at Villa's this is the worst and needs to be address. I rarely go online and write reviews or complain, I just never go back. Today I experienced both extremely poor service and totally uneatable food. When my Wife and I arrived there was a table of 13 and the 2 of us. Before we received any food 2 other couples arrived. I waited for more than 10 min to receive my 1st little piece of meat. It was raw (yes RAW). They were not staffed to handle the table of 13 and all the meats and service were going to them and nobody else in the restaurant was getting served. After finishing each piece of meat I had to wait about 7 min to get served again with another piece of raw meat. The meat was browned on the outside and completely raw underneath. I don't mind rare meat but I draw the line at raw and it even showed signs freezer burn. My wife talked with the Manager and he said the owner forgot to bring in meat today and they only had 2 types' meats to serve. He said that he wanted to close the Restaurant but was not allowed to. After I was served pineapple and preparing to leave I receive a well-cooked med-rare piece of meat. I could not wait to leave and go home and make a sandwich. When paying my bill they apologized and give me a whopping $3.60 discount for and uneatable meal and appalling service. That brought my total to $35.34. Trust me that will be my last visit to Villa's. I felt ripped off as well as insulted by a $3.60 discount. The Final Verdict - I paid a premium price of $35.34 (after a discount) for a disgusting meal and went home and ate a tomato sandwich that was far better that what I had just experienced. Cute cozy quiet unpretentious little family owned restaurant with good food. A very nice family runs this place and it's BYOB since they don't have a liquor license. Great place to bring a good bottle of wine and enjoy a slow paced relaxed dinner. Small but good salad bar, good meats, grilled pineapple, wonderful cheese puff rolls and fried bananas. I went with a friend on Wednesday night after searching for a place on several web venues including YELP. I am from NJ where there are several FAMILY owned and run Brazilian BBQ restaurants in the Newark / Kearney area. I felt like I was transported back north. This is like going to someones' home for dinner. The decor is modest and cozy. The staff is very hospitable, attentive, and friendly. We had the owner come visit and chat -- NICE. The salad bar and hot food Buffet had a nice selection. Nice selection of cold salads loaded with veggies. I am a fan of BEETS and they were there with a nice dressing. The Roasted Cauliflower and Plantains were off the hook. The saber toting MEATMEN were by often and were accommodating with your requests. From Beef, Pork, and Chicken -- all was good. Excellent Picanha (SP) -- melt in your mouth. They also have BYOB. If you are looking for a great meal experience DO NOT hesitate to try this place. The quality and taste of the food rivals and of the chain houses (Foga De Chow, Rafian, or Texas De Brazil) at one third the price. This place is terrific! Relatively inexpensive ($25 for dinner, all you can eat meat, salad, sides and dessert), very pleasant and friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere (small, casual, homey and cozy). The salad bar is restrained and simple but delicious and has some higher end condiments (roasted bell peppers, artichokes, nice greens, etc.). Their beans and rice and sautéed mushrooms are so delicious. I try to save my stomach space for meat, but I can't ignore those beans and rice. Also family friendly--with a significant reduction in price for the kids. (In fact, sometimes they "forget" to charge for the young ones...but normally I think it's about $12-$15 per kid). We have a tendency to linger after dinner, but feel guilty keeping a table occupied), Their wine prices are VERY fair--$0 in fact, with a caveat....you must bring your own. Their corkage fee is also very fair--$0. Here are the "cons": Admittedly, the overall quality of the meats isn't quite at the Fogo de Chao level, but the price is half (or less) and the place has a much more personal, comfortable (and less "chain-ey") atmosphere. Service is always friendly, but can be a bit quirky and sporadic. Sometimes, a meat will mysteriously make its way to every table but yours...and sometimes you just have to waive someone down if you want something specific. I feel for the reviewer who felt they got terrible service and couldn't seem to get any meat to arrive at their table. I think it was just bad luck (certainly not intentional), and they would have been well served to flag someone down or walk to the front and just say "We're needing some meat to come by...for some reason they've been skipping our table." Insider's tip--as soon as you sit down, tell them you want the fried bananas (coated in a crispy layer of caramelized brown sugar and butter) for dessert, NOT for a starter. Then remind them after you eat to bring out the bananas! Otherwise they arrive, you taste, you love, but you wait for dessert, and then they're no longer hot!! (On our first visit it was explained that Brazilians enjoy something sweet to clear their palate between different meats, but that's just not right.)....These bananas should be served as dessert and would be one of the best desserts in Dallas. And I don't even LIKE bananas! They also serve a great grilled pineapple, coated in brown sugar and cinnamon...delicious too. They also have "real" deserts, but you have to pay for them and they can't match the bananas or pineapple for pure pleasure. Ultimately it's an extremely unpretentious and inexpensive BYOB spot that's friendly and fun!!
