We love Thai food. We saw this restaurant and wanted to try it to add to our Thai restaurants we could go to. We ordered out last night and we're terribly disappointed. First they don't include rice with Curry dishes, it's a $2 up charge. There's a $2 up charge on drinks also for take out. Our order was $80, 4 people, 5 dishes and 2 drinks. Now if the food had been good we might have let it go. But it wasn't. We will not be going back and I suggest you try another Thai restaurant in the Medford area. read more

I have to say I am glad to see Tasy Thai go... years ago it was much better but I had stopped going in the last couple because the quality was just lacking . Ate here for the first time today. My dining companion had the combo fried rice lunch special which came with soup. He REALLY enjoyed both, course he also LOVED Tasty Thai long after the food started suffering. Service was good, only comment was he got his food almost a full five minutes before me. New decor is good but I dislike the TV addition. It isn't a sports bar! I ordered the yellow curry. When I ordered I was asked if I wanted rice which... um... YEAH it is curry! It needs rice! The curry was DELICIOUS super super good. Excellent flavor. Had potato, red bell pepper and bamboo shoots, was a nice portion and reasonable for $9.50. This would have been a 4 star review except when I received the bill I realized they charged me $3 for a side of white rice. This upped the price of my lunch to $12.50! Because of RICE for a dish that really should come with rice and always has every other place I have ordered it. Curry without rice is soup! In town visiting family and Door Dash turned up this gem. I'm giving it five stars based on the limited items we order for delivery. Fist, chicken wonton soup. A generous quart container loaded with broth, shredded chicken, pork wonton and veggies including bok choy. The soup was hot and fresh, the wontons flavorful and not over cooked. Next, ginger mushroom chicken. A large order of shredded chicken with mushrooms, onion and other veggies in a nice light and flavorful good beget sauce. The addition of shredded black fungus was a nice and tasty addition. Also, sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was mixed cut cooked more chicken n an authentic style. Just a light dredge of flour to crisp up not a heavy batter. The dish also was included peppers, onions, pineapple, cucumber tomato a nice and not to sweet tomato laced sweet and sour. I would have liked a bit more chicken in this dish but can't complain to much. Ala cart items come w/ one small side of white rice. It was not very clear when ordering. Vim made a big impression in how well they packed the to go/delivery order. All the containers that might leak were packed inside a tightly tied plastic bags. This was genius as one did leak. All were safe and snug in a large brown paper bag stapled tightly shut with receipt attached. Next time to m in town for lunch have to try dining in. But Door Dash did a great job with the delivery this time. read more

Is this a four star restaurant? No (maybe 3.75), but the service and food are good to great everytime! Not a good location. It can feel a little sketch with the people that walk around this part of town. Don't let that stop you from trying Vim Thai! Good food poor service. I worked at restaurants in the past and always appreciate people work in this industry :). The thing make us upset was they charged 20% tips to the bill without informing us beforehand or wrote it anywhere on the menu/restaurant. We were really enjoying the food and were gonna leave big tip after all. We are on vacation and wanted to make sure everyone happy, but the situation was very awkward and uncomfortable. The waitress was not happy serving us at all, it felt like we've done something wrong to her... It's funny I was talking to my husband to come back here on the way back to Canada (as soon as we tasted the food) but I guess we won't come back here anymore. I had the pad Thai shrimp. It was very good, and the reheated left overs were also very good. I would just say that some members of our party ordered fried rice with their dish thinking it would me a side dish, and it came as a second entre. Why is this place SO good?! I always feel like such a jerk when I think I have my regular, favorite restaurant for a certain type of cuisine and then find out that something better has opened. And here it is. We've abandoned our favorite neighborhood Thai place, because Vim Thai is... well, just better. Amazing food, authentic flavor, quality ingredients. Large portions at completely fair prices. And they have Rad Nah! No one in this area does Rad Nah. And it's delicious. Everything is delicious. Service is modern and friendly. We'll keep coming back. Thai is my favorite type of food. I eat it probably 3 times a week. I eat here more than any other Thai place in town. It's fresh, tasty, fast and well priced. The menu is smaller than most places, but its not a big deal because you literally can't go wrong ordering anything. Super clean, good temperature inside. Bathrooms are always clean. Parking is easy and ample. Customer service is 5 stars. No complaints in any regard. I love this place. read more

Definitely one of the better Thai food places in the valley. My mom who is Thai (and cooks thai food at home) even goes there to get The Lard Nah noodle dish, which is one of her favorites. We personally love the papaya salad, the Pad Se Ew and green curry. Portions are VERY generous ...I'll usually have enough food for 2 more meals afterward, especially the noodle dishes. This is the best Thai food I've found in the Rogue Valley! I had Yellow Curry and the spice level was perfect, the rice was cooked perfectly and the veggies were fresh and delicious. The decor inside is so cute and modern, but not overdone. The service was fantastic and fast. The prices are extremely reasonable. We followed the four and half star reviews and were quite dissatisfied. Pad Thai was okay, green curry was weird - I am quite sure they forgot a key ingredient - but I don't know which one. Tom Yum didn't have the flavor I am used to and missed a bunch of ingredients like cilantro. Portions are massive, prices are okay. Also no salad, egg rolls or tea which are on the menu. For tea all they need is hot water and a tea bag, so not sure what happened. I guess usually the mom runs the place and she left the kids in charge. read more

After reading reviews we really wanted to love this place. Came here for lunch and the first thing i noticed was the menus were on card stock and all dirty and torn (taped). Next, the water came with black floaters and black stuff around the rim. We ordered chicken chow mein and a chicken Pad Thai lunch special. The portions were huge. The food was really flavorless and Americanized. Prices were good and service was excellent which is why I gave it 3 stars. Boring. We ordered Tom yum soup and red curry chicken. They could not serve this in Thailand - no one would come. I liked the mushrooms and shrimp in the soup, but the flavor was so watered down it was boring. Tom yum should have a strong, sour flavor. The curry was ordered medium but had lots of chili and not enough curry paste. Hot without flavor. I'm giving two stars because the service was good. read more
