The food has not improved, rather it is very plain with no condiments available expect hot sauce (ask for it). The fried rice had onions, two quarters of tomato and rice. The chow main was better with plenty of fresh vegetables: broccoli, carrots, cabbage and bean sprouts. For six dollars extra a smallish portion of chicken was added. The noodles were okay--very thin. Vim Thai restaurant. First time going. Green tofu coconut curry, sticky rice, vegan rice noodles and veggie egg rolls. And the best coconut milk Thai tea I've ever had. Too excited to drink it I forgot to take the picture before stirring and drinking. It was beautiful. It was great. The flavors amazing. The only thing was the curry was the thinnest curry I've ever had. Daughter and granddaughter had fried rice no eggs and fried shrimp. Service was amazing. Will be back. read more

Pretty good Thai place that we found along the road on our way back from Portland on our way back to the Area of the Bay. They've got plenty of Thai Spices and chilies and fish sauce and all sorts of goodies. The flavour was also quite acceptable! I am always a little wary of certain thai foods when I'm not in Thailand, but this place was able to deliver some of that home sweet home taste right into my mouthhole. It's like they loaded a shotgun full of flavour and blasted it right into the back of my face! BOOM BABY! Got the Green Curry with Tofu with White rice. It was okay-ish. Not terrible but not a great thai green either. It felt very toned down, lacked the authentic flavors and also had very random veggies mixed in which made no sense in the dish. For example, no eggplant but green beans instead. Portions are good. Taste was there when we ordered their Pad Sew Ew, Pad Thai, and one other noodle dish I forgot the name of. The problem was when I called in the order for pickup the gentleman said it'll be ready in 20 mins on a Friday evening. So I arrived 25 mins later and they said it was not ready. No sweat, I'm a patient guy. I wait and they bring me a glass of ice water. Nice gesture. I wait...30 mins, 35 mins, 40 mins, 45 mins and finally they bring my to go order out. I believe the owner who is Thai apologized and said sorry and handed me the food. I've run 2 restaurants before and if it was me I would have offered like a free appetizer for the inconvenience and the wait. But nothing was offered. read more

While Kin Thai is my favorite adult Thai food, VIm Thai is still my favorite Thai that has all the kid friendly options like Chicken satay & fried tofu. I usually don't like boat noodle, but I gotta say this one is pretty good and flavorful. Generous amount of noodles and broth, slightly sweet. Really good! I also had the pad kee mao with chicken. Unfortunately, this was a miss for me. The noodles were barely warm. I would've liked it to be hot (temp) and a bit charred. There was no basil. I did like that they added veggies (which was new for me). They had tomatoes and sliced up strips of lettuce. I felt like they cooked the ground chicken, then turned off the stove and threw in the fresh noodles after. Service was great. We found this place while looking for a burger/fries alternative for dinner while traveling through the area. The restaurant was reasonably busy for 6pm and it was clear that they were slammed with takeout and phone orders. I don't blame them - this pandemic has put pressure on all restaurants to do their best with minimal resources and staff. We had to wait longer than expected, but this came with genuine apology for the delay and steaming hot food. I tried the larb which is not something I typically order. It was excellent with great lemongrass flavor and a pile of meat to accompany the lettuce. Would recommend! read more

Came here for all the good review but was disappointed. It doesn't taste authentic Thai food. We ordered seafood chow mein, Tom yum Kong, and pink noodle soup. Seafood chow mein, it actually taste ok but the noodle feels like instant noodle for some reasons and it's way too greasy. It tastes more like Chinese food than Thai. Tom yum Kong, we ordered a non spicy one and it tastes ok but maybe a bit on the sour side like lime. It has lots of shrimp so portion wise it's ok. But it doesn't really taste like authentic Thai. Pink noodle soup, that's when disappointment comes in. It has two deep fried wonton but the "soup" is a bunch of sweet and sour sauce which makes the noodle pink. What the heck is this. It tastes sweet and sour but damn it tastes bad. No one in our party wants to eat it... I can't imagine they sell this dish to customers. It's not Chinese nor Thai.... I've been to Thailand and sorry to say this doesn't taste anyway close to authentic Thai. read more

We drove into town and was looking for a place to eat. When we saw Vim Thai on Yelp and read many of the reviews, we were convinced to try it. We drove right passed it not expecting the building to look like a vacated office. We walked in and were asked to sit. We looked the menu over and made our choices. The portions were generous, the taste was great! My husband had the eggplant dish and I had the tom Kha. We were not disappointed. The tom kha was just the right flavor with lots of chicken pieces. The eggplant dish was wonderful and the single portion of white rice was enough for the both of us. We will definitely go back when we are in town again. read more

In a good pad see ew, it's gotta have that signature taste... a good char. Not only were the noodles perfectly cooked, but the taste was perfect and so well seasoned. Bravo for their preparation of this dish! 5 stars - Thai iced tea. I asked for mine to be lightly sweetened and I thought it was the perfect balance of tea, creamy, and sweet. Crushed ice is the signature mark of an authentic Thai iced tea. And they had that here too! Both the food and service were excellent. I ordered drunken noodles w/beef spicy and it was! Water had that awesome crunchy ice and a hint of lime. They were great about refilling it as my mouth was happily on fire. I asked them to add broccoli, and my meal was huge. You can't see the noodles in my photo because they're under so much meat. Ordered Yellow Chicken Curry and Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp and asked for a special dish of just green beans & beef in a black bean or oyster sauce. Curry was served with rice. Curry was full of chicken and big chunks of potatoes and carrots with a thick sauce that was FULL of great flavor. The Pad Thai was a HUGE hit and I loved the green beans and beef too.
