Delicious soup, I tried both the green chile clam chowder and the soup of the day, butternut squash soup. I traded my chowder for the squash, and the sweetness was perfectly balanced and not too heavy. Next enjoyed the special Cesar kale salad, which was, as my future mother in law often says, "to DIE for." Large pieces of anchovy and a generous serving of Parmesan cheese atop a huge bed of lightly dressed (with anchovy lemon sauce) thin sliced kale. I adorned my salad with seared Ahi, and it was wonderfully paired. I could only finish half the dish, after my soup portion and several refills of their hibiscus iced tea. Very well priced, very fresh, generous and clean portions of salad. I think this place is ingenious, and it's a boon that it exists in the rich Epicurean atmosphere of Santa Fe. read more

We had a nice little late lunch here today. The ambiance is bright and cheery and welcoming, and so many items on the menu look soooo good! I had the duck tacos, which I really enjoyed, and a cup of mushroom stew which was warm and hearty and yummy. I drank a really nice concoction called Liver Love, which contained turmeric, cayenne, and ginger, and was quite tasty. My companion drank something very similar (Turmeric Ginger Tonic), only without cayenne and with carrots & bubbles, and ate a really nice bowl of gumbo. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient, always (and only!) there when we needed her. If I lived nearby I would be a regular! read more

Vinaigrette is one of my favourite restaurants in Santa Fe. The menu has an incredible selection of unique drinks and local appetizers. The nutty pear-fessor salad (I add seared tuna to mine) is one of the best salads I've ever had in my life! I usually leave with leftovers and always planning my next visit. But, the restaurant has some of the worst service I've experienced in Santa Fe. The last two times I've been there, our drinks came after the food was served and our server checked on our table rarely. It appears the restaurant may be understaffed. The upside is the bartender comped our drinks on one occasion. Come here for the food, sit out back on the pleasant, outdoor patio in summer and savor delicious, fresh food. The Good: Interesting and varied selection of salads with optional protein. Limited wine list but based on the two we had contains some excellent choices. Focaccia bread with EVOO available at no additional charge upon request. The Not So Good: the optional duck confit I ordered with my salad couldn't have been more than an ounce or two. The wine by the glass pour was the smallest pour I've ever had. The focaccia bread was cold (like refrigerator cold) and dense. The place was only half full the night we dined but still noisy. Walked in on Saturday night without a reservation, we got lucky and got a table immediately. This is a cool little restaurant. It was a warm evening, and the Pepino was extremely refreshing. My girlfriend is a huge salad fan, and I'm starting to see the light. She had the tuna salad, but added the tuna steak. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The salad itself was also great. Fresh veggies, light, well seasoned and well balanced. I went with the Arugula Duck. I like trying new things, and duck salads are few and farm between. The duck was well cooked, not too greasy as duck can sometimes be. The caramelized pears on top were fantastic, and again, it was excellently dressed. It was a busy night, but wait service was attentive. I also appreciate the farm to table aspect of this restaurant. Prices are reasonable as well. Awesome experience. We'll be back next time we're in Santa Fe (or Albuquerque now)! read more

If I can rate Vinegret with zero stars I would. It was my first time going in and Allison was helping me. She had made a big deal about separating my order into two tickets( which was one item on each ticket) , she was sarcastic, crumbled my receipt after I had signed it so I'm not sure why she even had me signing them,and instead of placing the utensils inside the bad she was throwing them aggressively in the bag from a distance and had missed twice falling over to the ground next to me OVER THE COUNTER ! For a semi pricy place(and not counting the bad parking)they definitely need to work on the customer service. read more

Vinaigrette produces an amazing range of fresh food. I forgot to make a reservation in sufficient time on our last visit to Santa Fe so we ordered carryout. I had the French Frisee, a classic lyonnaise salad. The frisee was crisp and well washed, the lardons were crisp, and the egg was appropriately poached. All of our salads were packed well and were great after a short trip. I highly recommend Vinaigrette and will remember to make a reservation next time. read more

What an adorable restaurant with the feel of eating at home! It's the perfect lunch spot with many amazing salads to choose from, not to mention organic breads and soups. They use fresh, local produce, which makes all of the difference. My only gripe is that the salads are on the pricey side, but they are delicious and healthy, too. Fantastically fresh, tasty salads! The kind of salad you wish for, dream about, and after you've had one of these, will always compare every other salad to! The amount of dressing is perfect, no need to order it on the side - I hate a drenched salad with a passion so when I say this, I mean it. Had the Tuna Salad Salad which had good chunks of tuna (which there was plenty of), a variety of fresh veggies, shredded lettuce and a lemony dill dressing. My husband had the Chop Chop Salad which was a harmonious blend of all the ingredients including chicken and salami. There is not too much lettuce and the mix doesn't put you on a search for the best ingredients in the dish, you get some of everything in each bite. Recommend for lunch....every single day if you can get there! We spent 25 bucks on two hearty salads, ice tea and tip...good value for the amount of food, quality of food, ambience and service! read more

I am a fan of salad restaurants in general. This one threw me off a bit as there seemed to be a lot of bacon on the menu. That said, what I had (mushroom soup and beet salad) was pretty tasty. The soup was actually excellent and the salad was fine, very large and too big for me to consider this a "healthy" restaurant (could just be US sizing I am not used to). I like the cheerful decor and was happy to have a break from New Mexican cuisine. The wines we had were both nice and I found the service to be spot on. The perfect stop for break from heavy cheese, meat, and chile dishes. We had the kale+apple spritzer (bright, tangy, refreshing), the peach, prosciutto, and burrata salad (sweet, salty, creamy), the hot turkey sandwich (heaven), and a side of the omega salad (more on that later). Everything was so delicious we scarfed it all in record time. The turkey sandwich was my favorite- house-roasted turkey, avocado, provolone, and mayo on sourdough. We added bacon and never looked back. The omega salad was the only dish we aren't raving about, but we still managed to clean that plate, too. I'm going back tomorrow. read more

I have enjoyed this place for a long time. i love their kale salad. The costumer service has always been a week point but a week point that I was happy to overlook given my appreciation for their food quality and my tendency to give restaurants the benefit of doubt. However, recently the costumer service has become worse. I peaked after an experience tonight. I felt the Manager/Bartender was rude and abrasive. We had made a reservation that was simply not honored and were treated disrespectfully in the process. I remain confused if the person that took our reservation was simply confused.. Regardless, there was a complete lack of accountability or reflection on their part that was disheartening. read more

Used to love this restaurant but they out-priced themselves. Ridiculous amounts for tofu, asparagus or roasted veggies. Now beyond already high prices they are adding at least 20% charge to each item and calling themselves a tip-less restaurant. Not sure many of their long term patrons like us will fall for this. Great food! Enjoyed it very much. It can be expensive but it's Santa Fe so get over it! My biggest critique would be that if you ask to order anything extra (say shrimp or duck) they are really skimpy with those portions, yet easy to charge you plenty. The salads here are incredible! Everything that I have tried has been fabulous. Fresh, local ingredients. Do yourself a favor and order the "eat your peas" salad. Sweet peas, fresh mixed greens, crumbled bacon, sautéed mushrooms and asiago cheese with a yummy citrus vinaigrette. I had been coming here for several years before trying the "eat your peas" salad and have been unable to order anything else since! They have lovely specials- a friend enjoyed a delicious summer peach & prosciutto salad. The only reason why I can't give this place 5 stars is the price is pretty outrageous if you decide to add a protein to a salad ($18+ for a salad). I will continue coming back because you can't put a price on yummy, healthy, local food! (TIP)- don't try to park next door at Shake Foundation when the parking lot is full! This little place was so fun- perfect for a tourist (like us), but could see myself eating here regularly if I lived in town. We went late in the evening after driving 12 hours and it was perfect. Quiet, quaint, tasty. Reasonably priced. The environment was very relaxing and the service was great- our waitress was kind and calm and did not make us feel rushed. We had a great time sitting on the patio under the twinkle lights, enjoying salads and wine. Would definitely recommend for a yummy, but healthy and easy dinner. I give the food 5 stars. I tried the cherry tart salad and it was fabulous-definitely add the chicken. The chocolate torte is to die for and you MUST get it. I only give 3 stars on the service. They were pretty busy and I'm pretty sure we had a waiter who was new to the restaurant, but they brought out salads out before our drinks and didn't check on us very often. I love the food from Vinaigrette. However, today I placed a phone order for the salad I always order. I was quite surprised when I was $5 more than it was 2 weeks ago. The cashier explained that prices were raised but now they were a "no tip" eatery. But I was not told about the increase untiI I went to pick up my salad. I always leave a tip when I carry out but I feel like $5 is a little steep for a carry out salad. The total was $18.50 for a salad. Sadly, I guess that's my last Vinaigrette salad. read more
