Chicken parm was good and the risotto was good too. We got a bottle of wine to pull it all together and buttoned it up with dessizzert. The manager/owner of this restaurant is absolutely rude. It's a lady and I have always tried to be nice and kind of her. She doesn't care. Whenever you try to order food it never fails how rude and how unprofessional she is towards her customers She'll cut you off, saying hurry up, and will literally hang the phone up if you're not ready. This is not good service. I've been there personally, and she has the same personality. Trying to support small business, especially in our city. Food is not all the best either it's decent. If you read the past reviews there seems to be a pattern of the manager/ owner behavior and sadly it has not changed. read more

One of my favorite dining experiences so far! The Mediterranean fish special was so good, the juice was so tender and rich, I wish I could eat it again though I'm not sure if they offer that dish throughout the year or if it's just seasonal. My wife and I recently brought my mom here to celebrate her birthday. We arrived right at 5PM to secure a table because it seems like seating is limited and so are their hours. The exterior & interior of this building is absolutely amazing. Extremely well kept and incredible craftsmanship. The staff here is very polite and professional. An older woman, possibly manager or owner, was helping the staff but had such a mean, upset demeanor. Kind of ruined the vibe a little. The food is really good. Not the best I've had, but you can tell it's made from good quality ingredients. They have a great wine selection if that's your preference. Also, most importantly, the prices were very reasonable. 2 appetizers, 3 full meals, 3 deserts and 3 bottles of wine (1 bottle was to-go), about $240. A gorgeous new location for this gem! We had a Friday reservation and a small private room was ready for 7 of us which was perfect for smaller kids who couldn't sit still. Service by Anthony was outstanding and owner Kathy even said hello tho she was busy working the pizza station that night! So much respect for this family owned business which I've dined with for many years- it always feels like home. Food was spot on with the lasagne verde being my new favorite and the calamari + dipping sauce was so yummy. Great wine. Great value for everything. This place was so amazing. the wait staff was extremely accommodating. We had a party of 16 people and they were able to fit us in within 20 minutes. We had to wait for our food for a while, but considering we were a giant party, it was expected. they messed up our order but gave us two pasta dishes in addition to our order to make it up to us. the wait staff deserves a shout out the home made focaccia was delicious. the bread was so warm and the nut free chickpea pesto was really good. the pasta i had, Penne Pomodoro al Arrabbiata, was okay. the home made pasta was firmer, which i enjoyed. however the sauce was extremely oily. besides the sauce, the pancetta, and other toppings were delectable. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my appetizer of prosciutto, burrata and baby arugula, though my dear one thought his Mozzarella Fritti was doughy (not melting) in a watery sauce. My Orrechiette Barese was delicious and a very generous portion. His Fettuccine alla Bolognese was disappointing. The fettuccine hadn't reached al dente, though the Bolognese was delicious. Also a smaller portion. Anthony was wonderful, the perfect blend of attention and efficiency. Wonderful ambiance, the dining room has sufficient space that you didn't overhear other conversations. I only recently tried this place out when it moved close to me in San Dimas as I live close to the Walker House. It is a beautiful location for the new restaurant, old and historic. We loved going to dinner there, the Italian dishes were very well done. The service was wonderful and the entire vibe at night is alluring. It feels like it's a crime not to have a glass of wine while enjoying the historic atmosphere. They have a nice wine selection too. My pasta had a nice little spice and was cooked Al dente, I really loved it along with the garbanzo bean pesto served with the bread. The taste reminded me of an Armenian dish called vospov kofte oddly enough, which is made with red lentils and butter We also tried out there brunch and again, service and atmosphere were incredible. The drinks I had were also very nice and refreshing for the late morning. The food was very well presented but the options weren't all my favorite. The waffles were lovely and encrusted with sugar, and the honey butter was delicious however I'd have liked some fruit or other toppings for them. The salmon was very nice but needed some bread or some carb to go along with it. Cornbread and croissants weren't my favorite, just not the best. I did love the watermelon salads, those were packed with flavor. My friend enjoyed the frittata but said it needed more salt and I found the potatoes did need more seasoning too. We didn't try the breakfast pizza or sausages, they just seemed a little plain. I know this was their first brunch and it was overall very nice, good coffee and pastries with fast service. I just hope for more options with the proteins and savory breads next time ! This is probably my new favorite Italian place. I've only been here twice so far, but I'm trying to find more reasons to drag people out here with me. I love that they do have specials because it certainly keeps me wanting to come back and try more delicious food. I do wish they had pricing displayed for them, though. Even though it feels like a faux-pas to be fixated on price, it'd be nice to know. Gnocchi with pink sauce ($14.95). It was my second experience with gnocchi (outside of soup) and it was delicious. The gnocchi were so soft. Arancini ($6.50): This appetizer was actually filling enough as a meal. Can someone invent giant arancini instead of meatballs on pasta? It'd be heavenly. Milanese ragu ($16.95): The silky ragu sauce is perfect. If you like delicious umami flavors, you can't go wrong with this dish. Crema catalana dessert: This was like runny thickened cream. Not sure what the texture is supposed to be normally, but it could've been passed off as meltingly creamy. Either way, it was pretty good, although I was worried that it hadn't set enough or something. The caramel on top was too sweet for me, but I don't like caramel anyway. read more

I really hesitated to make this review because the staff was lovely. The waiters were lovely and the whole place was lovely. It was it was just the food that was not lovely at all. I was super excited to come try this place because I grew up in the area and of all the rumors about it being haunted growing up. Not sure if the rumors are true, but the house definitely has a vibe to it and I loved it. It was really nice. I loved all the history and the people that let us know about the history of the home. We checked out the gift shops and the museum upstairs and had a nice conversation with the lady from the gift shop then came back down and had our dinner however, dinner was not very good at all. I ordered the mushroom tortellini that was on the menu and my husband ordered the fettuccine de pollo. The server ended up coming out with a mushroom ravioli instead of the tortellini, which I immediately questioned saying I ordered the tortellini and the waiter assured me that it was the same thing, then another waiter came out and told us the same thing that it was the same thing as the tortellini just in ravioli form, but they hadn't updated the menu which was fine. I had no problem with that. My husband's pasta, however, did not look appetizing. Nor was it. It was fettuccine pasta with some kind of cream sauce or maybe butter sauce because it was kind of solidifying, but it had ground chicken just sitting on top of the pasta, not mixed in with the sauce or anything just sitting on top once I tasted my husband's pasta. It was not good at all. We took it home for someone else to try and they jokingly said that it tasted and looked like dog food. We were kind of thinking that to ourselves, but didn't actually say it and then somebody else said it. I honestly think that you would be better off going to Olive Garden because the food here was not homemade or tasteful, but definitely check this place out for the history. read more

Had dinner here this evening and WOW, I was amazed! Located in the super sweet Walker House in San Dimas, this hidden gem impressed me in a lot of ways. When we first walked in, I looked around at the white linens and the comfy upholstered dining chairs and wondered how we'd be received walking in with 3 little kids. But, EVERYONE we interacted with was SO warm and professional and welcoming. We also didn't have a res and it was Friday night but we were seated right away. They we're playing Italian music, Bocelli, Sinatra etc and I'd describe the vibe in the main dining room as classy, refined and relaxing. Exactly what I was hoping for! Then the food. Oh my word. THE. FOOD!!!!! Handmade pasta! And a perfect variety of dishes that are unique, yet traditional. In addition to the complimentary focaccia, here's what we got: calamari fritti, octopus/calamari salad, lasagna, short rib ravioli, spaghetti w/meatballs and a cheese pizza for the kids. EVERYTHING, hear me, EVERYTHING was amaze! All of our plates were sparkling clean and we were ready for dessert! Here's what we got: Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake, vanilla and salted caramel gelato. The food came out very slowly. It took approximately 45 mins before we received our entrees. The fried calamari was over done - too crunchy and chewy. I wish we can order off dinner menu. They do not make exceptions. I also wish they have squid ink spaghetti again but the past three times I went, that was not available. My sister likes their carpaccio, which I agree is yummy. But last time they did not have it either. The place shares parking with Thumbling, 85° Bakery and a karaoke place, among others, so parking is an issue. But staff is nice and I hope they will have my squid ink soon. read more

We have been meaning to try this restaurant and so glad we did. They were the first restaurant we tried after the lock-down. They followed all safety protocols and had dinning choices outside as well. My son, 11, was a bit leery to go inside. However, the owner came out and showed him exactly were we will be sitting, in the corner away from another table and that all her staff will be wearing masks. He could keep his mask on until he was ready to eat and if he needed anything to just let her know. It was very sweet and he felt much better. The food was wonderful. I had an octopus salad, which was very yummy and big. My daughters had a pesto pasta and fettucine alfredo. They were both happy with their dishes. My husband and son, shared spaghetti and meatballs and they both enjoyed the meal. We will be back to dine again as the food and service was great. read more

Disappointing. My boyfriend and I planned to celebrate Valentine's Day a few days after the actual holiday to avoid crowds. Spent all those days choosing a delicious new local spot to hit. We love Italian food and figured the pictures of food and menu items looks delicious! We make a reservation the day before and all is well. We get to our reservation on time at the same time a table of 4 regulars arrive. We get sat at the same time (the server being completely nice the entire service). The restaurant manager made sure to take care of the regulars only and visited and chatted up their table while my boyfriend and I patiently waited for the 1 server working to please his managers requests for the regulars I'm sure. It took us 15 mins to order an appetizer and we waited another 5-10 mins after to order our entrees. The server was very polite and knowledgeable on the evenings specials and even sold us on the steak! He was also very fast on bringing me my wine and my refill. Our server immediately gave us our drinks when we got sat, but then we sat for more than 15-20 waiting and waiting lol. The food didn't take long to be cooked once we ordered, but that's when it went all down hill. It's so sad I was looking forward to the seafood pasta because I read such great reviews. We started with calamari our favorite, but super bland there. They serve it with a warm tomato broth that doesn't have much flavor either. They give complimentary bread with some weird hummus like spread. The bread was the best part of our meal. My boyfriend got the ribeye special and it looked like the saddest ribeye we've ever seen. Most of it was fat kid you not, he could barely cut into his steak with all the fat. It was cooked medium rare as he ordered but it was a fatty meatless cut. The vegetables were seasoned great and the potatoes were okay. My dish the seafood pasta was soooo disappointing. The tomato broth didn't have any flavor and I asked for it to be spicy and it wasn't. I asked the server for salt, pepper, and he kindly also offered us parm and chili flakes which I accepted. The noodles I'm assuming were suppose to be cooked " al dente" but my boyfriend and I work at a very known and high quality Italian restaurant in Orange County, and we know all about the al dente cooked pasta. The pasta here was straight up hard hahaha. Either way we were hungry and it wasn't inedible! So we ate it. 2 hours later we are now in bed with really bad stomach aches and the food was honestly not worth what we spent and what a disappointing Valentine's date considering we never go out anymore in this pandemic. $100 for 2 entrees, calamari, 2 glasses of wine, and a coke. Whatever, you live and try new things right! The restaurant manager made sure to give their regular table the special treatment the whole 1.5 hrs we were there and stared at us from afar...... she only approached us when we were done with our entrees and asked if we were okay.... mind you for the first hour we were only 1 of 2 tables sat lol and there were 4 total when we left!! read more

Went there on a Saturday night with a larger group. My friends had recommended this place and said their lunch was really good. We had reservations and were seated right away. It was a very cold evening so some of us wanted to order hot water and were told that they don't have enough hot water cups. So we ended up getting room temp water with no ice instead. Then we got some garlic bread which my fellow diners ate and said it's very tasteless. When some of them asked for seconds, we were told that they don't have enough bread and have to safe some for other tables. I mean this was a regular Saturday night dinner service? Some of our late comers came and asked for hot water and were told again that they have no cups. The waiter was very nice and told us he was going to look and see if the hot water cups got washed. Some of us were able to get hot water later in the dinner once the cups were washed. The food was not bad. Portions are not large. The homemade pasta was pretty good. It's just have a lot of oil drowning that pasta. One of my friends who has been there for lunch said they usually don't serve that type of bread and usually have delicious food. May be it was an off day for them but I was not impressed. read more

Pork chop was thin and overcooked. It had a nice sauce but couldn't really make up for the cheap cut that was well done (not done well). I tasted my wife's ravioli and the short rib stuffing was very dry. It was disappointing. I will say the price aligned with the food, considering the ridiculous prices that are out there with all this inflation. We got out of there at $75/p with two entrees, three glasses of wine, and burrata app (which needed olive oil). App was average. Service started out ok, but we were the only table it seemed. Toward the end of our stay, we eventually saw a server to drop off the bill but no more water for us. Another ten min after dropping the bill, server picked it up. The setting is fantastic but the execution for the dinner leaves much to be desired. read more

I'm always down to pay a high price if the food reflects that. This meal cost $26 (Plus tip)!! Only five shrimps and five scallops. What a hidden gem! This restaurant is located in a very special historic building, which allows for seating in a general area or private rooms to accommodate your party. Tonight my family and I gathered in one of the private rooms, which was perfect because we were able to bring a newborn with us and had more than ample space and distance from others to feel comfortable. The food was excellent as always, especially the pizza Romana and our twist on the Margherita pizza adding pepperoni. I had the pan seared sole and my family enjoyed the special orange burrata salad, branzino sea bass, ribolita soup and spaghetti bolognese. To top off the night, we had tiramisu and crema catalana. Wow! Cannot wait to be back, I wish I had taken more photos of the all of the food but we were enjoying it too much to think about taking photos. Terrible service for mediocre food. We had eaten here previously. The food is alway mediocre and not authentic. However, we do not have a lot of choices. At our most recent visit, we placed our order at 7:30. Then we waited for 40 minutes. It seemed the wait staff was avoiding us. Finally, we asked the server when our food would be ready. Rudely we were told our food would be another 20 minutes because their kitchen was backed up. When we asked why people who were seated after us received their food before us, we were told it was because they had reservations. Apparently, our order got bumped to the back of the line. Beautiful ambiance covers poor quality food. Service good. Fettucine Alla Bolognese was yellow and tasteless, lacking in any tomato flavor. It was served partially cold. Almost no meat. Margherita pizza crust was flat, a poor imitation of a true Neapolitan crust from a wood fired oven - and very little sauce. The website prices are a brazen lie. For example, Fettucine Alla Bolognese was $17.95 not $12.95. Why do restaurants allow fake prices to remain on their websites?? This is the third example in past 6 months of fake website prices. My husband and I had a wonderful dinner last night at Vincenzo's! They have a great outdoor dining setup following all Covid protocols. We both felt very safe and the owner was nice enough to set out a table for us when all tables were occupied. Anthony, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the octopus salad for our appetizer followed by risotto, pork loin and a seafood medley type dish. All dishes were delicious! Everything paired well with the Pinot noir we ordered as well! We capped off our dinner with a scrumptious crepe brûlée type dessert and coffee. Unfortunately we forgot our takeout box! I would've loved to enjoy the leftovers for lunch today. We returned to this beautiful setting for the second time last night - it was super. The historic house it occupies has such great ambiance. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable and take great care of their customers, greeting them by name and keeping them informed of wait times, food recommendations, etc. Very congenial atmosphere. The three of us each enjoyed and shared something different, and agreed that all the food was excellent. I opted for the chef's special Chilean Sea Bass, and it was cooked to perfection - tender and buttery, with an excellent topping of tomatoes, capers, olives, and other yummy flavors that complemented it perfectly. Served with the potatoes and vegetables, it was a lovely meal. I started with the chef's special beet salad, and I would order it again - the beets, candied walnuts, and balsamic dressing were perfect against the bite of the arugula and the creaminess of sprinkled feta. We shared the Italian cheesecake - lemony and light, made with ricotta, just the right ending to a lovely dinner. Enjoyed it with a glass of the Donini Muntepulciano - a very nice, drinkable wine.
