I LOVE visiting those special spots of my childhood that are still the same. Thank you Vince's for keeping up the magic and tradition of this spaghetti house. Its super reasonable and I love they serve wine in little glasses like they do in Italy. The three things I miss from Vince's, but they still deserve 5 stars is: 1. the rolling trays to tables should be metal and not Home Depot Plastic Industrial. 2. The white speckled granite counter at the entrance is a strange choice. The original style of hunter green/red/chrome countertop is missed. I wish the new counter was more like the cool counter that was replaced. 3. The female servers use to have black and white dresses/skirts that looked "classic" and now everyone is in frumpy pants. We came tonight for family dinner. There was 11 of us. We had a waitress who was very nice but poor thing was shaking and just very slow she could barely deliver the food to us. We all felt so bad that when we needed something we didn't even want to ask and when one of the orders was mixed up we just dealt with it because she kinda huffed about having to get a new one made. There were long periods of time she would be gone and everyone was sitting waiting on red pepper flakes, napkins, refills. It takes a lot to serve a table of 11 so the fact that she didn't have a helper so she could keep up was very surprising. After we ate we were waiting quite a while to order dessert. A girl with a cart came by and asked us if she could take our plates which we were grateful for since we wanted to have our desserts but she wouldn't even move from behind her cart so we had to literally pick up all the plates for her and bring them to her. Felt like we were at a fast food restaurant. The most concerning was how dirty the restaurant was which worried me. I used the bathroom while there and it was such a mess with leaking from the sink and bucket under that was also leaking and there was water everywhere it was so slippery. No seat covers. Made me wonder what the kitchen looks like. The guy at the table next to us too got a soda that I guess didn't have any carbonation when he told his waitress she was being so rude to him after he just wanted his soda replaced with carbonation but she was insisting he had to get another type of drink. He ended up asking for a bottled water and she told him they didn't sell bottled waters but we had just ordered bottled waters. The food was okay but the aesthetic of the place is just gross. No plans on going back anytime. People from our party who had went there before said it's def not the same anymore. read more

If you're not a regular here, don't go. If you don't memorize the menu better than the rude employees, don't go. They don't waste time explaining the menu items to their customers. And it's just pasta... Chopped salad isn't on the menu and ordering a "family size" order of pasta will give you a small takeout box of pasta. Surprise! Barely serves 4 people. The impatient employees don't inform their customers of what their menu items entail for some reason (they must not know it very well) with clear communication so as not to give them something unexpected... I've been in customer service for 6 years. Its truly simple to overcommunicate and recite back exactly what the customer is looking for so you can do the one job you have correctly. But sorry for bothering you w/ our service! Won't happen again and hoping your employees have better days so they can demonstrate improved customer service and create a more welcoming, and maybe even an inviting establishment in the future. read more

Parking: easy peasy in their big private lot Place: old school mom n pop feel to the place. Very homely. Lots of seating. Mostly booths. No wait on a Friday night. Price: extremely reasonable. About $16 can feed 2 with the full spaghetti meal that comes with soup, salad, and 2 garlic or cheese bread halves. Added a meatball for $2. And cheese on top for $3. Buddy got the lasagna meal for the same price. Pfood: the spaghetti with meat sauce + meatball was tasty! And the full plate meal came with A TON of spaghetti. Fed 2 extremely well with leftovers to spare. Maybe cut back on the cheese, because it looked like it came with about a half a pound of cheese on top. (I know, I know... "There's no such thing as 'too much cheese,'" but just scrape some off the top if you wanna balance off your plate.) Only concern is the relative lack of variety, but for a place called Vince's Spaghetti, you should probably just enjoy the spaghetti exclusively. Good business move, Vince. It makes the choice way easy. As for the lasagna, my buddy was impressed. He said it had egg in it, which was a good touch. Pro tip: I was told by a co-worker to try their milk. Hands down my FAVORITE place for spaghetti. I have been coming here for years. My Mom and Dad would bring us here when we were children and now we bring our children. I simply love the food here. You get a fantastic meal for a great price. It's quick service and the staff are pleasant. I adore the family feel you get when you eat here. The bread is awesome and the soup is out of this world. My kids always get the full order so they can have leftovers. The spaghetti is so full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I no longer live near but I am willing to make the drive to eat here. I love Vince's spaghetti. One of my favorite places to eat. My family has been dining here since the '60s

Vince's is a stalwart of the Inland Empire. It's a beloved local institution that been around since 1945, and doesn't really seem to have changed very much since then. It's also one of favorite restaurants of all time. There are generally 2 types of diners who come to Vince's. If you belong to the first camp, like me, you grew up in the Inland Empire and spent many a night eating at Vince's with your family. You also probably love the food. It's not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it's remarkably consistent and transports you right back to your early years. To me, the food tastes exactly as it did 30 years ago. If you belong to the second camp, and are coming to Vince's for the first time expecting to be wowed, chances are you'll be underwhelmed. I've brought several friends here who aren't local, and they've all seemed genuinely confused as to what all the hype is about. That's because Vince's is a place that's rooted more in nostalgia than in culinaria. The restaurant is dark and dank. The wait staff brings your food on a plastic push cart. The menu is simple. Your only choices are spaghetti, mostaccioli (basically penne), lasagna (which apparently was only added 2 years ago), or a meatball or French dip sandwich. You can order pasta a la carte, or as a dinner which comes with soup, salad, and bread. I can only vouch for the spaghetti dinner, which consists of a heaping pile of pasta doused in either meat or marinara sauce. You get your pick of garlic or cheese rolls (after 30 years I still can't taste the difference), a cup of minestrone soup, and an iceberg lettuce salad swimming in dressing. I know, deep in my heart, that this is not particularly good food, but honestly it's one of my all-time favorite meals. I happily drive the 50+ miles to eat here and relive a bit of my childhood. read more

First time visiting. Husband and I chose the lasaagna dinner and the vinces spaghetti dinner. Both came with soup and salad. The salad was sad they do not put croutons on their salad and therefore was a little dissapointing. The soup was really good and we thought the lasagna and spaghetti would be better and make us forget the sad salad. Boy were we wrong... The lasagna was also dissapointing :( the spaghetti wasnt impressive either in fact we were upset because we knew the spaghetti we cook at home tastes better. Overall we wont be coming again a second time. However the staff is very nice and friendly, the portions are big, the garlic bread is yummy, and they dont take forever to serve you. Out of respect for their devoted lovers who see and taste something I failed to experience I will give it 5 stars. Now my take on it. I drove for an hour and had low expectations in hopes I prove my self wrong. I like the nostalgia of the place and the dungeon like back seats. Food wise, I loved their vegetables soup. Their garlic bread was ok and their spaghetti was over cooked. Their marinara sauce I liked and their beef rich red sauce was good but the provolone cheese killed it for me. I wish I could have asked for aldente pasta but it's all pre cooked. Unfortunately the place is filled by oversized diabetic patrons who their bodies are screaming not to eat this useless un tasty food but unfortunately there are many people who are looking for cheap overzealous food and I can't blame them for the bad economy. read more

We've been coming here for over 20 years and I'm glad we got to dine in tonight! Our server Amy was great and went above and beyond to take care of us tonight! My daughter spilled my water on my partially eaten plate, Amy heard the commotion and came over right away to help clean it up and brought me a new plate of food! Now that's awesome customer service! Food is excellent. Nothing negative to say about that, good portions, tasty, just perfect. Take out service is pretty decent although I had to ask for more utensils, sauce, etc... Dine in service...not so great. Very slow. It was a rainy day when I went there for dinner. Servers seemed adequately staffed and bus boys were on the spot for every finished table. But it took over 15 minutes just for our waitress to intro herself and another 15 to take our order. Then another 20 or so minutes to start getting our food trickling in from the kitchen. I know Italian food does take a while to come out because you're meant to take your time and enjoy it while conversing, but I'd expect something like that at a more expensive fancier restaurant. I don't believe this was the case here. In any case, if not for the food itself, I definitely wouldn't come here again. Would I recommend this place? Yes but only take out. read more

The Cuccia's and family members have established a pasta icon in Vince's. Been coming here off and on for decades even after having moved from the area. The food has that home made, family recipe quality that can't be easily replicated by the big chain Italian eateries. My favorites are the lasagna and spaghetti with meat sauce, but everything I've tried at Vince's has been satisfying. Food overall is average and its either drowned in sauce (meat or tomato) or the pile the $2.45 a cup provolone on it.. Went in for lunch today and had a very unpleasant experience with the food and the waitresses. I ordered a beef dip and got a meatball on the side. The meatball was cold. The beef dip had a weird taste and was chewy. Not good at all. My sister ordered mostaccioli with cheese. The cheese didn't even melt. It was cold!!! She tells the waitress Marisa and then it starts. She starts talking mad crap to the staff and the other waitress. It was loud!!! We hear a microwave noise and we are like oh no!! She brings it back and it's still cold. So my sister tells her I'll just have an antipasto salad. So the waitress is still talking crap!!! I'm mean it didn't stop. So my sister lost her appetite and told Marisa how unprofessional she was and the other waitress came over and said they were talking about someone else. The first thing we noticed when we walked into this establishment was the very pungent smell of cheese. It was strong but tolerable; we got used to it in a couple of minutes. I went with a group of ten people and we ordered three full sizes of spaghetti and mostaccioli. It was a perfect amount for us. However the Spaghetti wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't the worst either. I expected it to be worse, so it was alright. I found that their meat sauce was very thin though, not really the thick and meaty sauce I expect. The garlic bread was also alright, my party thought it was pretty good but I thought it tasted like those ready microwave breads. The service was a little below standards. The lady wasn't that friendly and I think we asked for extra forks three times without even getting a slight glance from her. It seemed as if she were trying to get us out of there as soon as possible. Well, let me tell you Vince's never disappoints. They have great food, great prices, great customer service, and COLD BEER! They also have massive amounts of cheese if you want it. And being an American born and bread kid of course I want a shit ton of cheese on my salad, my spaghetti and my bread. Look, I'm not going to bullshit you. If you are looking for authentic Tuscan fare, or some shit that you had on your vacation to Milan or Rome, this place is NOT it. It's USA made "Italian-style" comfort food that we all grew up with. I have been going to Vinces all of my life. I even had the pleasure of working there when Mr and Mrs Cuccia were alive. Of course my kids also grew up eating from the original on Holt. (It was the only one) BUT as with all good things it must come to an end. Mr and Mrs Cuccia passed away, Frank retired then Ken retired and nothing is the same. The sauce does not have the same consistancy or taste. The spices in the house dressing has changed they dont put the same amount on the salad, sad we use to fight over who was getting any left over salad. I even think the rolls they use to make the garlic and cheese bread is not the same. We have tried it several times to see if it was just a bad day or working out the bugs since the grandson took over. My daughter and her family were over for our family day. I wanted Vinces. She insisted we go to the ORIGINAL Vinces. (She did not believe us it's not the same) Well I spent 90.00 on food for 6 of us, in the past we also had to have left overs, well now we are ALL in the same page. She threw the salad away, my Dad would not even eat the spaghetti, the bread was on the top of the bag but looked like it had been sat on, the sauce was so runny it didnt even stick to the broken yes broken noodle! When I worked there you NEVER sent out broken noodles! The pieces were so small you could not even pick it up with a fork. Now on a good note the dips were as good as they use to be and they hadnt been in the past few visits. So if you want to get what Jonny and Victoria Cuccia built go to the one on Foothill. Set up and ripped off! Never again! I went to WalMart to buy some scotch tape. I ended up spending nearly $200 on some more gifts for my grandkids. I'm not shy about spending money. I didn't want to cook when I got home. So I decided to order from Vince's. I'd done so before, so I felt comfortable about doing it. Keep in mind, I'm a retired chef, so I would normally take the time to make my own meals. But I was burnt out from shopping. I ordered a half order of spaghetti with meat sauce, one meatball, and a garlic roll. It was waiting for me when I arrived, and I believe it ran me about $12. When I got home, I emptied the quart of spaghetti into a large bowl, dumped the 1/2 pint of meat sauce on top, then realized that wasn't nearly enough sauce for all that spaghetti. So I called Vince's again, to find out when they closed and was told 10 minutes. I explained why I needed more sauce and was told to hurry. I got there to pick up some more sauce, and was charged $7 and change. Now their sauce is okey, but it's really not all that! I ended up eating one small plate of spaghetti the meatball that was now cold and basically not very tasty, and the garlic roll that was cold and tough by now. (At least I had some sauce to soak it in!) Bottom line, I spent over $19 to what will eventually end up as 2 small plates of spaghetti! What really stung was that I mentioned to the cashier that I felt like I had been set up. She gave me a clueless giggle, as she took my money. Now I grew up on Vince's spaghetti in Torrance over 50 years ago. I've fond memories of my history with them. Unfortunately those memories are now shattered, and I won't be ordering from them again! I'm leaving 1 star because of what I witnessed tonight. Maybe I'm just picky because I was a restaurant manager but customer service at this place is awful. I placed a to go order for the spaghetti dinner. I know it gets done quick. I saw the cook put my food in the window then walk out to the front and start eating chips with a girl sitting at a table ( I'm assuming maybe an off duty employee because all the workers were distracted by her. There's 2 girls working the front. Ignoring the ringing phone, texting, laughing and talking with the girl at the table. I see my order just sitting in the window, wondering if either one of the girls are going to go get it. A customer is left waiting at the register while the girls just chit chat. I understand needing to talk while working but don't put your back to the door and don't ignore customers. The lady complained about something and I wasn't able to hear what and the girls just laughed and one yelled "omg what did you do??" This is why I HATE eating out anymore. No one has a sense of urgency or cares about the customers. Such a shame. Do better vinces! read more

I have been going to Vinces for MANY years but I have come to realize the Ontario restaurant is not the same as it used to be. 1. Sauce does not taste the same. It was lacking seasoning. Meatballs were not even hot. They were barely warm. Bread was was not great but was good. It could have used a little more garlic. 2. Our waitress was not great.
