I went to a Vince's in Torrance all the time. It was so good but then they closed down. I'm glad that there's one near my girlfriend's house. Service: I had a Togo order. They were really quick. The cashier had no problems taking my order and it was great to have the option of 1 of each bread. Food: I got the dinner for two togo. Came with: Spahgetti w/ meat sauce Minestrone soup 4 bread And a salad for around $18 + tax. The spahgetti was great, but not as good as I remembered it was in Torrance. The minestrone was meh. The bread was great. I got both the cheese and garlic. My girlfriend said the cheese was better. I would still come back to try it again. read more

Been coming to this restaurant since I was around five or six years old, and while it's not the best spaghetti I've ever had, it's definitely a great value. I can only speak for the spaghetti, because interestingly enough I've never tried anything else. Ordering even just a half-portion will be more than enough to satisfy most people and if you get a full order you're definitely gonna be taking some home. The meat sauce is decent, my personal preference calls for a little more and higher quality meat, but that's just me. The salads have always struck me as a little ho-hum, appearing to be the stuff one would purchase in a bag just thrown on a plate. The soup is good, and a plentiful amount of crackers are always provided. The garlic bread pieces are big and warm, with just enough butter and garlic to be a good addition to the spaghetti meal. Most of the time I come here I'm served by one of two types of middle-aged woman: cranky and dispassionate or very sweet. I know there are other types of server that work here I just always happen to encounter one or the other. Whatever attitude they possess I do always get my food and drinks in a timely manner and that's usually my main concern. We knew the kids wouldnt eat alot. So we got at least 5 plates i ask for more cuz there r 9 of us. I got charge 4 more plates for 95 cents or so. I look at the bill i was like really? U charge us for plates? We ordered alot food and we cant get the plates for free? This place was very good! Our server Mo was an awesome lady helped us order exactly what we wanted. The spaghetti was on point, I liked the meatballs and the shredded cheese is light and fluffy and very good on EVERYTHING lol. Vince's spaghetti was a huge surprise. I was not expecting much from it but when I saw the reviews we decided to give it a shot. The entrance is pretty cool where they have an entry way mimicking a courtyard and where they have benches for you to wait. Inside they have multiple themed rooms. There was an odd but pleasant smell when we walked through the restaurant. It was weird but there were so many people there that we figured it is still worth a shot. We sat down and looked at their menus and we were surprised to see that they only have 3 pasta options. Lasagna, a penne type of pasta, and spaghetti. So we both went with the half order meatball spaghetti option with the soup, salad and breadsticks. The soup and salad come out first and the soup looked like a veggie canned soup. After trying it however it was the best veggie beef soup I've ever had. It was so delicious. Spaghetti came out as well as their garlic and cheese breadsticks. The cheese breadsticks were better in my opinion than the garlic, but those were still delicious. The spaghetti was so amazingly good. Although we had a half order each, it was still too much for us to finish so we opted to take them to go. It was just a very delicious comforting cheap meal that covered all the bases. Service was quick and we had a table in no time at all (it left me wondering whether I need to make reservations or they are just not necessary). I got the Mostasagna with meat sauce, while my boyfriend got a salad. Yea, he's weird, but he is always counting the calories he eats. My mostasagna was great though, full of flavor and the serving was huge. As they're known for it, I figure that if it ain't great then nothing else would be. It drives me nuts when someone says it isn't real Italian but Italian American. Omg, I've been coming to Vince's with my family for over 50 years. I've been to the one on Holt, Redlands when it was still open, Torrance and the small one in Temecula. The spaghetti dinner is my standard with the rich meat sauce, definitely garlic bread. My dad grew up with the Holt location and started taking the family there as far back as me being 2yrs old. One of the pictures of the original little stand on Holt has my dad's car in it. Today my husband and I visited to have Vince's for a celebration of our move out of state. I have been going to Vince's for pretty much every one of my 40 years on earth. I love it because the food is consistent and the only thing that changes is the wait staff. Last Sunday, I met my mom and some friends for dinner. I never turn down Vince's and since my daughter was on a meatball sandwich kick lately, I figured I'd introduce her to the best. When we arrive, the parking lot was packed. I wasn't surprised by this at all since this is pretty common for Vince's on the weekend. I arrived before everyone else to I checked in with the host and waited outside. When you walk into Vince's the smell of garlic bread and marinara sauce hits you. Not to mention the decor. I don't think the decor has changed since the place opened. The back room has always been my favorite because of the old light fixtures and the atmosphere. We were seated in the side room at a booth. For 8 people, it was the perfect size. Everyone placed their orders which consisted of spaghetti or mostaccioli. My daughter and I had the meatball sandwich. The dinner come with soup and salad. Your choices of dressing are ranch, french, or bleu cheese. The soup is minestrone. I always say that crumbling crackers into the soup brings out the flavor. The dinner is a pretty good value for $12 to $14 depending on if you get the full or half order. Believe me, the half order of the spaghetti/mostaccioli is plenty. I recommend ordering a meatball as well since they are the best. If you order the meatball sandwich, you do not get a salad and soup. I recommend getting garlic bread and provolone cheese on the meatball sandwich. It also comes with pickles on the side. Vince's only serves wine and beer. One of my favorite is the house Chianti. When you order wine, it is served in a small glass. Not a wine glass. That is one thing I like is that Vince's is not pretentious. Just simple food and simple wine. For a glass of Chianti, it is $4.25. For a half liter $7.95 and $14.95 for a liter. So why wouldn't you order a full liter, right? Our server was good. We didn't have any problems like I read about in other reviews. Also, some reviews stated they wonder how a place can survive o just serving spaghetti, well, all I can say, is you have to take Vince's for what it is. Just a spaghetti house. read more

This is a nostalgic place that has been around for years. Seems like you either love it or wonder what the big fuss is about. It is in a very vintage building with vintage decor. It is large so families like to go there as they did when they were kids. Now about the food, the spaghetti is average with not much else but a simple sauce. The bread, either cheesy or garlic, is a good combination. Then again I'm a spaghetti sandwich type guy. But the one thing they have is a great meatball with lots of flavor. My choice for this place is the meatball sandwich, on garlic bread with provolone cheese . Skip the spaghetti and have one of those and you won't be disappointed. read more

This was the firs time my parents and I tried this place. It was amazing! Not to mention, it was A LOT of food for the price of the food. I got the half plate dinner special, which was the meat sauce with a meatball with mosstaccioli with melted cheese on top. The waitress recommended it, and I couldn't send the offer away! My dad and I ended up getting the dinner special, but he order the spaghetti instead. We were both given salad, and their famous beef noodle soup. Not to mention, their beef noodle soup was amazing! When the meal came in, I realized just how much food it was! It came with breadsticks, which were a 6 inch sub with cheese or garlic, and I choose cheese. I had an extremely difficult time finishing the half plate because of the amount of food given. Not to mention, my dad did finish his half plate of spaghetti!! Vince's does spaghetti and they do it well. The sauce is to die for, the spaghetti is cooked perfectly. The building isn't fancy but there's lots of space inside, the service is good and the spaghetti is the best I've had anywhere. The 1/2 dinner is enough for me, it comes with soup and salad plus bread. If you want to take some home for the next day then the whole dinner is the way to go. Parking lot can get crowded but we drive up from San Diego at least once a month and have always found a parking space and haven't had to wait to be seated more than 5 minutes. read more

During a recent visit with my daughter, Dad and grandchildren we were seated near where the employees gather and I guess wait to serve tables. There must have been four or five young ladies who on several occasions decided they were going to use some bad words. Finally, my daughter got up and said something. Also when I was at the counter paying another girl blurted out a bad word as well and apologized for it. I made a comment to her. Rather than have your employees gather, find something for them to do to keep busy. I'm very disappointed in this type of behavior. I went here on a date...they have incredible reviews and I'm dumbfounded. It feels like a conspiracy, because that's how bad this experience was. The restaurant is dingy, weird yellow lighting, and smells funny. We sat down and my date said, "Does it smell in here to you? Should we go somewhere else?" It totally did smell...mucky, mildewy like. The menu is exclusively spaghetti so I anticipated the best marinara sauce I've ever had. It was so gross - tasted like the Spaghetti-Os from a can that I ate as a child. The garlic bread was good, but everything else was gross. Service was also mediocre at best. This is a great location to get take out. One order of spaghetti can feed 2 people. We ordered 4 spaghetti dinners and 1 lasagna. We had enough food for 8 people with some leftovers for the next day. We tried ordering before getting there but they don't take phone orders. I thought with us ordering so much it would take a long time but it didn't. From the time that we ordered to the time we were walking out the door, took about 18 minutes. My family really likes the meat sauce so Vince's is a favorite out our house. We tried the lasagna and we were very disappointed. The top layer was very dry and crunchy. We ended up throwing it away. On the weekend the parking lot becomes full very quickly. But we have never waited a long time to get a table. read more

This was our first visit to Vince's. We are not locals and wanted a place that would feed 5 hungry kids. The place itself is classic! It felt like you went back in time. The service was EXCELLENT. The prices were fair, and you got a lot of food. The meat sauce was great, but the spaghetti was just okay (3 stars). We had a good dinner and the kids were satisfied.
