We enjoy this winery very much. The wine is good, the food is excellent. The atmosphere and entertainment are marvelous.

We had a horrible experience at the vineyard. Live music was playing and we asked this group in front of us to sit down so we could see. I was polite and also said please. We didn't know the owner was one of the people. He became belligerent cussing and swearing at us. He walked away and preceded to talk about us and point and us. Then he came to our table and stood in front of it. We did not say a word. He then left came back walked to the back of us. When we could not engage with him he called us f'ing b's and throw us out. He proceeded to cuss, swear, and threaten us that the cops were on the way. It is unfortunate that I am a local resident and supported this establishment for a long time. Such a cute winery! We came to Vineyard 2121 for a girls' weekend of wine tastings to celebrate a birthday. The space is so cute. Very open and a nice patio. It was a nice sunny day but a little chilly so outside was cool as long as the sun was shining. There's a cute vintage carriage in the front for you to take pics. We took several. There's also a huge chalkboard outside the bathrooms for you to sign. I did a tasting and tried the Dry Riesling, Three Times A Charm, Cab, and Cab Franc Reserve. Overall, I liked the wines here the most. They give you great sampling sizes. I purchased the Three Times A Charm. A few of the others did the wine slushy samples and everyone said they were very good, but that's not my speed. Along with the tasting, we ordered food: charcuterie board and salmon spread. All were very tasty. I loved the meats on the board, however, they can get a better bread for both the board and the spread. The staff was nice. Not everyone was attentive and they didn't provide much information on the wines you chose to taste or not. That helps when you're trying to figure out which wines to taste. You would think a winery would want to educate their patrons. I'd return because I do like the place and it's great for a group tasting. read more

The venue itself is placed in a great area. Nice outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard. Wines & ciders are good. Customer service is terrible. The owners are out of control. Both drunk in their own establishment during business hours. Small town attitudes who treat the locals like they're beneath them. How do you run a business when you're drunk off your own supply? It's really unfortunate because this winery is on my way home but with people like this running it...no thanks. Debbie gets so belligerent that if you even approach someone who frequents there she bulldozes the conversation. Very unprofessional. Maybe if enough people stopped business there they would change their ways but I doubt they will ever take accountability...that's the vibe I get. Oh and please supply better glasses for water. People don't want to drink water out of micro cups when they're sitting there drinking alcohol. read more

Nice venue but the food need some work. Ordered hummus plate. The menu didn't say it was flavored. It seemed like red pepper. I wouldn't have ordered if I knew that. It also seemed very grainy. They also brought it the same time as our entrees, which is a no no. Had the pulled pork sandwich and the smoked chicken. The pulled pork was cold. The chicken was good except the chicken only covered about 1/2 the bun. Ordered Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. All they had was diet Dr. Pepper. Really? Also there is a $5 cover charge if there is a band. One other thing, there is a covered patio. In the top corner there is an active birds next. Bird poop on the ground. Disgusting! Will prob. Try again. Hopefully it will be better! read more

2121 is definitely worth stopping in and or making the trip. People giving 1 star because they didn't allow their dogs to hang out on the property, or the nut job that said they were threatened with violence by the owner need help. Give me a break... people like this are the beginning of the downfall of society. The staff here was super nice, each and everyone of the ladies. The way they pour the wine is very fair. Most wineries in the area have $12 for 5 tastings with sometimes less then an ounce poured. The flight for $15 actually seemed worth your time and money. The wines are all very decent... I and my wife plan to return in the Summer months with friends to better enjoy the outdoor area and food. read more

I want to love this place. It's a nice location and I think its going to be a great venue once they build out the patio and stage area that is currently under construction. The food is reasonably priced but needs work. When asked what was one of their better dishes - they highly recommended the mac and cheese which I'm always a fan of. But it was nothing special at all - tasted like what I make at home coming from a box. Everything else was just okay. The one thing that stuck out to me was $8 for a draft beer. This is just not that elevated of an experience to be charging those kind of prices. There is a lot of potential for this business but they need some work on the service experience, food quality, and price/value. read more

Stopped out on a Saturday for a girls trip. I really liked the facility. PROS: pretty facility, *they have food*, clean bathrooms, the best seller Blush was tasty, they have ciders too, 4 flavors of wine slushies in their machines, patio area with tables, big group friendly as there was a bachelorette party out on the patio, they had a $10 tasting for preselected samples or $1.50 alacarte samples, bottles are displayed very well and easily shopped, seperate register available is nice so there's less congestion at the bar. CONS: pricey compared to other wineries in the area, gravel parking but that's really not a big deal (unless you have a new paint job or wearing heels), no bulk price break unless you're in their wine club. Also the staff wasn't very interactive. I thought maybe it was just our server, but I looked around and no one was really engaged. Notes- my friend asked if there was a price break as she was buying 6 bottles, and was politely told no. I was looking at the information on the chalkboard, and say they have a $50 wine club that gives you 20% off 6 bottles and 2 free samples ($1.50ea). She spent $111 in wine and $12 in samples. So had our sampling person offered this to her, she would have bought it. (In theory they would have given $22 off the wine and maybe comp'ed her two samples for $3.) She would have paid $25 more than her regular pricing and they would have had another customer coming back. The upsell would have been appreciated. read more

This was the first winery we tried, and nothing else ended up comparing to this experience! We came on a Tuesday afternoon in June of 2017, so the hours posted on yelp are actually incorrect. We arrived around 11:30 am, and were the first ones there. They have two different options: 6 tastings 1 oz pours for 8 dollars and 4 3 oz pours for 12 dollars. I got the flight, and my husband got the tastings, BUT since we were the only ones there, he basically got the flight. He was the DD, so you could imagine how good I was feeling when we left. They have a really pretty area to sit outside, and the property is worth viewing. You get the full "Napa" experience. The wines were excellent. I was in a white wine mood, so that's what I mostly tried. If we had more time, we would have gone back to buy more bottles, but hey that's a reason to come back! read more

Vineyard 2121 is our new favorite spot on the Michigan Wine Trail. We visited the first time for their Cider Festival and really enjoyed the Hard Cherry Cider and a few of their wines (especially the Michigan Bubbly). The festival took place on a beautiful weekend in early September and they had music, a farm market and food. The tasting room is new and you can tell the owners are working very hard to make this place beautiful and inviting. When you sit on their lovely patio and overlook the grapevines - you really feel like you're in Napa. Our most recent visit was on a rainy and cool day in October so we experienced the tasting room and tried a few other menu items (once again with a bottle of Michigan Bubbly) and enjoyed everything we had very much. The Southwest Chili and Gourmet Grilled Cheese sammies were delicious! To me, this is the best wine tasting spot in the area and should definiately be on your list when you visit. read more

The look of the bar was awesome! The atmosphere was fun and service was great. All of the wine was dry- even the sweet. The food was awful! I cannot stress enough how awful. Instant potatoes, reheated brisket, gross mac and cheese, their stuff peppers came right from the fridge with saggy shrimp and uncooked rice. Super overpriced for the food and would not recommend for eating at all. Would recommend the deserts but nothing else was worth it. I was told they opened up early for our party, and our party of 10 was excited and in need of food.... all around would probably not visit again. read more

This is a beautiful getaway that makes you feel like you are far from Michigan. (I have been to the vineyards in California and I honestly think this is better). The food menu has several sandwich options. My friends and I ordered the sampler. It's nice that you can mix both beer, wine and slushie options. I lost my bracelet and when I called hours later, the staff was nice enough to have it in a lost in found at the front desk for me to pick up. A visit here is to taste some of the best wines on the Lake Michigan Trail. Vineyard 2121 delights with a wide range of wines, hard cider, and a food menu that includes sandwiches, cheese boards, and other delicious looking items. Recently, they started Sip & Savor Sundays, which feature wine & food pairings. My tasting consisted of their 8 wines for $10 tasting. I loved the De Chaunac, a smoky dry red, and the Longing Lips, a dry Rose. The reason for the one star was the food. We came on a bus tour for my daughter in law's bachelorette weekend. Super cute facility and the wine was good. However, the sandwiches we preordered were inedible. The "croissant" was a brick; crunchy like a crouton. I can not believe they would serve something like that to customers. We had a reservation and all it got us was a table under the tent. That was, however, around the corner from the music, bathrooms and service counter. We still had to go inside, wait in line while to pick our flights, and carry everything back. They were out of almost everything we wanted. Multiple people filled our order. Appreciate that they were very busy, but we expected more with a reservation considering the service we'd gotten at other wineries the same day. Wines weren't great. Slushies were terrible. I went here 2 years ago and had a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed a great lunch and some sweet wines to go with it. Fast forward to now I decided to order some of the wines I enjoyed and have them shipped to me. During transport UPS damaged the box and I was unable to get that shipment. Vineyard 2121 was great about the whole thing. They sent a new shipment quick and included a bottle of sparkling white grape juice as an apology. I will gladly stop here again the next time I'm in the area and until then I know I can order some of their great wine to enjoy when I'm at home!! read more

Their dry red wines all taste like weak phases of Pinot Noir. Also ordered the wine and cheese flight. The cheese with the cranberry was very good but they don't sell it. When unasked the owner said she can't sell it because she wouldn't have enough for her sandwiches. Are you kidding me? Why not be like all the other wineries like her neighbor Twelve Corners? Don't carry something you're not willing to sell. Understand, people come to try things and want to buy what you sell. If you are just an owner with a bunch of money, research your market and follow suit with the others in order to satisfy your customer. I could have spent money with you, but you don't get it. Poor service from owner. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. We have been here multiple times before and WAS one of my favorite places to go until this last time when the owner was there. Didn't realize until our server told us. We took our friends to this winery so they did the tastings and my husband and I did a glass of wine. We wanted some lunch and knew they had gluten free pizza but found out not on Saturday's. I told our server I needed gluten Free and she didn't offer any options. Because of my allergy I keep crackers with me so I pulled out my crackers to get by until I could get something to eat. Our friends ordered a sandwich. Once they finished their food the owner came over and crinkled up the bag my crackers where in and told us to get rid of it because they were a food establishment. I told him it was rude how he handled the situation and told him I was Gluten Free and needed a little something to eat. He told me he had options and I told him it was never offered. He kept ranting on and continued to be rude towards us. Unbelievable. To top it off he followed us out and when I turned around, I caught him taking our pictures. What the heck??!!! Not sure why he got in this business if he can't deal with people and is so unprofessional. We didn't get loud or anything with this guy. Get him out of there and I might think about coming back. If you really like white wines, this is a must stop. Rose blends are good as well. I've tasted Rieslings in the Mosel and Rhine river valleys in Germany, and their dry Riesling is among the best. Also recommend their Polite Disillusionment which is similar to Savignon Blanc. Tasting pours were generous with friendly staff, a big round wine bar, and a wonderful facility surrounded by vineyards. read more
