This review is for Vinfast electric vehicle sales. After multiple email with sales man "Joseph Albright" I went in during a working day for a test drive. They have a promotion going on for Vinfast SF8 model for $199, $0 down. When I sit with Joseph he says it's actually $4600 down to get the promotion. I asked for break down which he did not agree to at first but on insisting it he gave me the break down. Attaching it here. It has some made up line items that does not make sense. Joseph gave me the slip and left. He did not even sit down to discuss the options nor explained what those line items mean. Disappointed. read more

At 2 other dealerships we test drove cars that were supposed to be in our price range only to find out they were $5,000 to $8,000 higher than we requested. I love driving from downtown to Lisle in rush hour traffic only to be told before I was supposed to see the car that it was sold. Once again, we have yet another used car dealer living up to their age old reputation of being scum. I made sure I was within 5 minutes of their dealership at least 45 minutes before I was supposed to be there and then the email came......"car was just sold." Mind you, 2 hours before that the salesperson said it was "in the paint shop" and he would "call me when it gets back from the paint shop" Here is the car inside their showroom before it went to the "paint shop" When I asked why would the car be in the paint shop when it's being advertised INSIDE their showroom and it looked great? Hey, things happen and maybe someone hit it when moving a car inside the showroom or whatever, when I got 'Crickets' when I asked that question........Now today, the day after I was told the car was sold, it's still up on Autotrader. Never again. Next. To the owner, Angela, who responded, and without an apology. She stated "there are many salesmen" blah blah and the cars sell fast....." I don't care, he should HAVE CALLED! HE KNEW I WAS ON MY WAY FROM DOWNTOWN! HAVE THE COURTESY TO CALL!! I God knows they called me a millions times enough they got my phone number! Like I said, screw me once..... He actually did me a favor so I digress. I ended up with a 1 owner car with 34,000 original miles from another dealer, so I should be thanking him for not calling me back. read more

Buyer beware! This place sold me a car that had to have its alternator replaced two weeks after I bought it. Problems started showing up a few days after the state required minimum warranty expired and when I brought all this up to them they basically told me to pound sand because the car was sold as and now there's no warranty. It needs another $5k worth of work right off the bat. If I had $18k to spend on a car I certainly wouldn't spend it at The Used Car Superstore of Lisle. I bought a Jeep SRT8 33.000 dollars July 18, 2023. before I bought the truck. I asked the sales men and the sales manager what's wrong with the truck?? They lied to me and told me they just had the truck serviced and there's nothing a matter with this vehicle mechanically or electrically. I drive home the same night with the truck and all types of lights started flashing on the dashboard indicating that this vehicle has a lot of problems. then the following day the vehicle breaks down and I have to pay at $1800 repair. That's when I learned that the vehicle still needed additional $15,000 worth of mechanical work. Ranging from motor work to front end differential is broken, my active the suspension does not work and that's a $10,000 replacement by itself. I'm sued this Dealership currently for 30.000 thousand dollars. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. Now my 33,000 dollar vehicle, I've only had it for two months now is sitting in a storage, broke down and not drivable and I paid a $13,000 down payment. So you know I'm mad And now I'm paying 210 a month for storage to keep the car from being stolen while I'm suing these clowns read more

I bought a car and before I could get down the street to go home the check engine light came on. I promptly went back and was told to go to another location to have the car inspected. After almost 2 hours of no information I was handed the keys and said it has a bad part that needs replacement. What part? Who's paying? Is it safe to drive? After driving back to where the car was purchased I was assured that the car was safe to drive and that they would order, pay for, and replace the defective part. That was over a week ago. I called to inquire and again my salesmans JOE A. was completely useless and could care less if I was helped. He doesn't respond, he doesn't follow up. I was told maybe it will come in tomorrow. They will call if it does. If not call them back to find out more. Horrible business management, communication, and bad experience overall. I wish I could return the car and start over anywhere else. read more

I had a very pleasant experience with The Used Car Superstore of Lisle and salesman David Manzanares. I strongly suggest you just ask for David when going to look for a car there. He was polite, friendly, and professional. He was very patient with me as I looked over vehicles in detail, and took multiple test drives. I felt he was being honest and transparent in answering my questions regarding the vehicles I was looking at. He really went above and beyond in assisting me, and it seemed as if he was happy to do so. The purchase process was quick and smooth, as well as the process of negotiating and finalizing my trade in vehicle. As for the dealership, I felt their prices were reasonable, and they are willing to work with their customers. I also like that they have a service department on site. read more

I urge you to please stay away from this place. They sold us a Honda Civic with absolutely no Air Conditioning components at all including no compressor. Just found out as the summer started. Completely ripped off. It is an incomplete car. Second Issue: The next morning after buying the car, when I started it, it had the battery light blinking rapidly. I called the store to talk to the sales rep who never answered. Now, I have blinking batt. lights, (meaning a defective/poor quality alternator) that I need to get fixed somewhere. Spent over $500 to fix that few days ago. Third issue: Even when I paid in cash, they ran a credit check on me. They promised me they won't run the check after asking for my SSN due some weird Dept of Homeland security requirements. They are careless people. read more

In short, stay out of this place, unless you feel a need to waste your time and challenge your dignity. Buying a used car from a dealer is problematic to begin with. However, I would say this dealership raises it to a reverse-crescendo of unpleasantness. In short, I would urge them to remove loan calculators from their web page for any car below $12,000 - because by their own admission it's a very difficult (next to impossible) transaction to process below that threshold. Sadly, that admission would have been far more useful at the onset of the attempted transaction. Most importantly, I wasted a lot of time and felt foolish for going through the application process with them. Moreover, It is the first time I've encountered talk about putting a GPS in a car to track (repossess) it, and heard frequent mention of repossessions in three different conversations I had with their finance manager. It took several days to obtain these negative responses from the "Super Store." By comparison a rival dealership -- Bill Jacobs of Plainfield sent me home with a significantly more expensive car to test drive on Saturday night, and completed my loan approval the following Monday. And Car Max approved me by phone. Nether of these dealerships introduced talk of GPS tracking or repossessions. This is not necessarily an endorsement of two above-mentioned competitors. If I decide to do that, it will be in a separate Yelp review. I can only think of one car purchase attempt that was more unpleasant than my experience at the "Used Car Superstore." And that Naperville dealer mercifully is no longer in business. read more

Unfortunately, the "Superstore" was super-sucky and reinforced every negative stereotype about used car dealers. I trekked out to Lisle to see a higher end vehicle - the salesman made his shtick - clean CarFax, one owner, no accidents, no issues, the Superstore's used car quality tests, blah, blah, blah. After I raised some pretty serious issues (transmission, braking, alignment and leaking shocks - all pretty costly items to fix) and noting that it was obvious that the car had been in an accident from the paint work, the salesman simply shrugged and offered to drop the price by a few hundred. Why bother to negotiate? He can just wait for the next sucker to walk in the door. I feel for whoever buys the hunk o' heap I test drove. read more

We have purchased two vans from Used Car Superstore of Lisle. We have been satisfied with a good deal and good condition vans. We purchased Vans 9 yrs ago and 3 yrs ago. When we purchased the 2nd van we had a few hiccups which were taken car of fairly quickly. We did have to ask several times but in the end we were satisfied with the results. We have never had any problem with the van, only requires normal maintenance. We would give them an opportunity to earn our business again. read more

I bought a Honda Accord as a daily driver with 190,000 miles about 3-4 months ago and put on about 3,000 miles on it so far and haven't had any issues. Reading some of the negative reviews about this place, it seems to me they bought unreliable car models (Such as Chrysler, Dodge, ect.) and didn't do any research such as what kind of problems it could have . That or they mistreat/don't give proper maintenance to the vehicle that was purchased. Also would help to check the maintenance report to see what kind of work has been done or if any so you know what you are getting into. They are willing to help you out too if you are on a budget. I was told I would get a call back and i had to call them just to find out that the guy that was helping me left for the day leaving me with the manager Greg, who wasnt really interested in helping me. Very upset I even considered going throught this place. Told me they couldn't approve me for a $3000 loan on a car I would be putting $2000 down on but they could approve me for a $9000 loan. They must think that because im a woman they can take advantage of me and let me tell you this you are VERY wrong. Started off as a good experience but now I'm starting to have a change of heart. We had a pre-approval and trade-in to offer but were told that the trade-in wouldn't make much of a difference. We decided to keep the trade-in and the salesman supposedly got us approved for a deal without it. After many "are you sure there won't be any issues" from my husband, the salesman assured us that there wouldn't be. We agreed on the deal, signed the paperwork, put down what was asked of us, and took our car. 15 days later we get a call saying that the deal didn't go through and we either had to pay more for the downpayment or return the car. By this time we've given the trade-in away and are now inconvenienced with the fact that The Used Car Superstore is switching up the deal that THEY OFFERED US. Furthermore, instead of giving us a number that would work for the additional downpayment they were now requesting, they asked us for a number which tells me that they could've made the deal work without it by chalking up what they lost because of their own mistake. It's not fair or a good business practice to interrupt people's lives and back out of deals that you structured and offer to customers. Used Car Superstore, NEVER AGAIN. read more

Let me be clear in this review; this rating is based primarily on the salesman I worked with, Mani Lozano. Ask for him specifically. I have bought more than one vehicle from Mani, he is a long time employee at this store. I find the selection and value of the used cars to be good, lots of good quality vehicles just a little too old or with a few too many miles to place on the new car lot at Honda of Lisle, but cars are clean and most have been well maintained. Unlike most other salesman, Mani will talk to you and determine what you are looking for; style, price range, age, mileage, etc. and do his best to find cars that fit what you are looking for. He will not attempt to pressure to buy what he has on the lot if there is no good fit. More importantly, he will look for what you asked for and follow up with you when he has it - not try to sell you whatever is available. No issues with the store generally; cars are sold "as is" but with 6 month drive train warranty, but prices are commensurate with this and are negotiable. Service dept. exists only to prep cars for sale, no problems with them either. If you are looking for a good used car for $5k to $15k, a good choice; if looking for late model "cream puffs" with low miles or luxury cars, there are probably better choices. read more

I have bought one car four years ago from them and recently just bought a car this past Thursday from them. I love this place. No pressure when buying and they are willing to work with you. They do a 40 point inspection and will fix something they found wrong before you drive it off the lot. We found a car that fit me best and I honestly couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Horrible place to purchase a car. I brought my car (2014 BMW 750) on 11/22/2019 and asked about a potential problem. I was told that nothing was wrong with the car by Tom (Salesperson). I was given a warranty that does not cover much. The next day I called because my rear of the car was sitting on the ground. I called back and was told there is nothing they can do. Buyers beware. I had to pay 2k at BMW to get the problem fixed and was told someone tampered with the car. SMH, I suggest you get your own mechanic to check out the car before purchase or do not buy from them at all!!! read more

It has now been over 2 years since I bought our car. I hope someone will be helped by reading this and recognize how valuable this place is. We have put over 30000 miles on our Honda Odyssey now. It has been extremely reliable, and for all service we have done, the technicians at this place especially Matt are a Godsend in their honesty and pricing. We have only had to do routine maintenance mostly. Both sliding doors have needed a little work but cost was well under $300. Nothing else at all; such a reliable car! We couldn't be happier with our purchase and this place. We take both our cars here for repairs. It is obvious after 2+ years these guys are the real deal. read more

I purchased a car from here late in May of 2014. It seemed like a pretty good deal a for a 2003 Volvo s80. Mani was my salesperson, and I was assured that the car would be thoroughly inspected. Shortly after I bought the car, some minor things started falling apart - the knob for adjust the side mirrors crumbled. It was still usable, just broken. Same with the knob shift adjuster. It broke, and was kind of hanging on, but still functional - so, fine. After a little while more (a couple of weeks), the maintenance light came on. I took it in to the Volvo dealer (who originally was the listing seller of this car) who performed over $500 of needed maintenance on the car, and gave me a list of issues that would need to be handled in the very near future, to the tune of about $1400 (BOTH FRONT INNER TIE RODS, UPPER ENGINE MOUNT, TIRES, ALIGNMENT, REAR BRAKE PADS). As I did not have that much money at the time, since I had just spent all of my savings on the car, I did not have that maintenance done. By late August, the transmission started slipping and almost immediately flashed a "Urgent transmission service" warning. I took it back to the Volvo dealer, who told me the entire transmission needed to be replaced - at the cost of $6800 - which is far more than the car is worth. I was sold a car that I barely got 3 months' use out of. It has been sitting unused, and now dead, since that time and I have been long-term borrowing a car. I'm in the same position I was when I came to them, only now with no savings and $5500 poorer. That car was not worth a nearly $2000/month price tag. There is no doubt in my mind that their mechanics knew about these issues. Transmissions don't just fall apart at 83,000 miles. I believe the business knew that they were selling me a lemon. I also know that is a risk that you take when buying a used car, but I still hope for a little decency in the world. As Used Car Superstore has proven, that makes me nothing but a sucker. read more

I was looking for a great used car, liked Hondas, had a decent down payment and know what great customer service is all about. I'm giving this place 5 stars because I feel I won the Triple Crown. My job keeps me on the road, so dependability and comfort comes first, got my CD player & the extra warranty they made available to me was a must (it's a USED car remember?). The lights on the lot were great at night, I felt I really saw what I was buying, and compliments to the salesman, he knows his cars. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME. I wasted my time going out here today. All of their cars are DISGUSTING. FILTHY inside so dirty inside you do not even want to sit in them. I walked in the door and waited 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge my presence. Then they gave me the worst salesman possible to help me. The man that helped me, Manny, couldn't find the keys to any of the cars I wanted to see. He had to jump the one car that he could find the keys to and when he brought it around front, it had a FLAT tire in the sidewall. He said "oh, we will have to get that fixed" I said "NO, there is no fixing that. It is in the sidewall...you have to REPLACE IT." Then I was looking at another car and it had deep rust spots on it so I didn't even want to bother test driving it. Manny told me oh, well, yeah, it has rust because we use salt in the city....uhhhh NO MANNY, I have a 2000 my car has NO RUST. This car was in an accident and the repair job was crap which is why it is rusting you schmuck. Salt does not cause your car to rust....these people are all idiots. This might be the way it goes with used car dealerships, or car dealerships in general, but I still think this is not the way to do business. I dealt with Gary who of course came across as helpful, but right when I was ready to almost make a deal, a deal that I said I was very interested in he let someone else make a deposit on the car. As I was ready to leave for his dealership to take the car to a mechanic for final inspection, he calls and tells me this. When we talked on the phone about this situation, as I was telling him that he should of asked for a deposit, he hung up on me. Maybe this was a fluke, but I would not suggest going here if you are into reliable service. I never will. read more

We didn't manage to make a deal with him then, which proves his reasonable demeanor. He called her a few days later they had something new in, but she had already found a car else where.
