This place is pretty damn good for an airport restaurant. We have a nice selection of wines with an emphasis on wines from BC, but lots of international selections and a thoughtful selection of flights of four tastes of different wines contrasting new world with old world. The menu is also well thought out and pairs perfectly with the wines on offer. This was a great place to spend an hour waiting for our flight. There's not a lot of commotion, and the seating space is well separated from the gates around it.

    Wall decorations are pretty cute!

After some agonizing time by going through the over-the-top/overkill Canadian security checkpoint (even though we were simply connecting flights where everything in our possessions had been screened and scanned at the prior airport) when I spotted this cute-looking wine place, I didn't hesitate a bit to pop in for a glass of a nice red wine. It was a high noon time so it's usually a bit too early for me to consume alcohol and yet coming from Narita Airport having pretty much no sleep was a good excuse for me to indulge myself in a little boozy time/treat. Anyway.... Like I have already hinted this earlier in this review, this wine place is quite cute. And it's clean. There are ample amount of tables. Great place for single/solo diners as there are many two-person high top and regular height tables. Service was prompt and friendly. The lady who assisted me answered my questions thoroughly when I asked her about the Canadian Cab Franc (Bartier Bros) which they had just switched to a different brand of Cab Franc. She didn't know the price of the new brand but when she came back with a glass of it she said it was the same price as the Bartier Bros (at Canadian $21.) Very good Cab Franc with a bit higher tannin and yet very smooth with nice lingering finish. There is a distinct taste to it and yet I couldn't quite make of it. This was probably my first time consuming a Canadian wine ever so this was a nice surprise and discovery. I would buy a bottle of it if it's sold in the U.S. I didn't order any food items and yet they all sound delicious and appealing to my taste. Whereas I had no clue about the portion sizes, the prices seem to be in a decent range. Well, if I ever make connections in Vancouver again (which I doubt however!!) I'll definitely utilize this place for a quick "pick me up" moment.

Stopped at the Vino Volo in the US terminal before my overnight flight. Open until 10-11 pm depending on the night, when I got through security and customs around 8:45 it was the last table service restaurant open. Since the airport was not very busy at this hour, the restaurant was quiet. The waitstaff were nice and very attentive, and my food was also prepared quickly. Pizza - I ordered a veggie pizzette. The pizzette is a thin individual-sized flatbread. Not impressive but not bad. Not something you would hope to get at a dedicated pizza restaurant, but comparable to the flatbreads at a lot of generic bars. It was satisfying but light and not greasy, making it an ideal meal before getting on a plane. Dessert - Got the lemon shortbread tart this time. I was also here just for dessert a few years ago and got the flourless chocolate torte. I think the chocolate torte is the superior choice between the two. Very rich. The lemon tart was not bad, just plain. It's the usual slightly inflated airport prices. $19 for a pizzette and $10 for dessert. If you don't expect anything fancy it's a decent meal.

After being on a seven day cruise, I decided I wanted to have a salad for lunch. I stopped in to get one to go. The server said it will probably take between 10 and 15 minutes that they're shortstaffed and it'll be a long time. I told him that was OK and I still wanted to order. As you can see the salad is just what it says arugula and some Parmesan shavings. Very expensive salad.

To me this is the cutest place in the YVR International Terminal. If you're having a chaotic time traveling, as it often is, this is the perfect little reprieve. A sweet cozy little wine bar nestled right between E and F Gates. They serve flat breads, salads, sandwiches, cheese boards and charcuterie. They have sommelier curated wine flights as well. The staff here is super nice and the vibe is just "nice" and eases those frazzled nerves in just the right way. I might prefer if it were tucked into a corner as opposed to so open/exposed, but it's fantastic for people watching, if you're into that sort of thing. This place always helps me turn it down a few notches when the day isn't going exactly as planned, as is common when we travel. The service is super lovely and nice as well, Suzanne is the greatest!! If you're looking for a peaceful little port in an airport storm, I definitely recommend this adorable and cozy spot.

When at @VancouverInternationalAirport - US terminal- forego Canucks Bar and Grille or the food court and head to @VinoVolo. Started with super friendly service (thanks Erica!) in an open air, quiet peaceful setting. Sure we got to the airport a bit early....I'm glad we did. The hubs and I each got a (sample) flight of wine. We split a bowl of tomato soup, a cobb salad and a pizza. The courses were nicely timed so much so, we each ordered another glass of wine as we finished the last few pieces of pizza. The soup was hot and tasty. Definitely got the roasted tomato flavor. Yummy!!! The salad was fresh and big enough to split. The dressing was light and chicken breast cooked to perfection. The pizza was more a flatbread. Holy moly was it good! A bit spicy, but then we each had a glass of wine to pair and were deeply satisfied. Def try this. BTW....the wines can stand on their own. We enjoyed our respective flights and (luckily) had time to enjoy two additional, full glasses off the flight of wine before we boarded. What a great choice! Would I come back? Hell yes!! (And I'll try other Vino Volo locations during my upcoming travels). There are other menu items calling my name. A must try!!

WHEN: Sat @5pm I'm pretty upset that there's no longer a lounge in this terminal so we had to resort to this restaurant. Here's what we had: PESTO ROASTED CHICKEN BREAST SALAD - $18 Grilled chicken with pesto, fresh greens, goat cheese, dried cranberries, and pumpkin seeds, with vinaigrette. OH MY GOSH this salad was amazing because the chicken is SO tender and flavorful. We ended up ordering more chicken in the side. RUSTICA - $18 Tomatoes, Zucchini, Black Olives, Mushrooms, Mozzarella Cheese, Tomato Basil Sauce It's your standard vegetarian option pizza/flatbread to fill you up. Not bad Last orders are 6:30pm and they close at 7pm. Plan accordingly!

Very nice selection of wine and beer. Overall a great experience to get a glass before your flight. Service is fast and efficient here. :)

Airport food always leaves a bit to be desired. That said, Vino Volo is probably the best option when it comes to food options by Gate 73, serviced by Air Canada for flights to the US. I ordered their cheapest glass of red wine for $12 and my wife got a mimosa. Drinks were poured quickly. We shared a flat bread pizza and it was hot and crispy and had a generous amount of toppings. Price to value, I felt like Vino Volo was not bad! Worst price to value award definitely goes to SFO. No lines to get seated and you never feel rushed to open up the table for other diners. What would've improved my experience is if there were outlets placed at each table.

Recently I went for brunch with my family for Father's Day and we had a great time. We all ordered different brunches. My brother and dad got the French omelettes, my mom the quiche Lorraine, my sister the carbonara and myself the mushroom egg tart. We all really enjoyed our dishes. Mine was light, fluffy, flakey and bright with a perfectly cooked soft poached egg. It's a clean feeling breakfast. My sister's carbonara was a proper carbonara (made with egg yolks) it was really savoury and a touch too salty for me but I enjoyed a taste of it. We also ordered the basque cheesecake. I've noticed more and more basque cheesecakes on menus but very rarely do restos do it right. I was looking for a gooy-er lighter but full cheese flavoured basque and unfortunately this just doesn't hit the mark - it's a bit dense and lacks that rich cheese flavour. It was a miss but everything else was great including the service. We had many attentive waitresses from the bar staff to the floor staff and had some great convos with them. This is a staple for the neighborhood and I wish we had more places like this!

A big thank you to Mallory and the kitchen staff! This review is 3 months late, but even a few months later, we remember our meal like it was yesterday and can't wait to return the next time we're in Vancouver. Getting to experience a Michelin Guide-recommended vegan restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip! We had (from the June 2025 menu): the Bread, the Broccolini, the Chickpea Tofu, and the Potato Cavatelli. Not a single crumb, morsel, drizzle of sauce, or even pea was left on the plates! Every bite was so full of flavor and decadent, we were so sad when the meal was over ;) The stand-out though was the Chickpea Tofu, the best tofu we've ever had and it seemed to just melt in your mouth. We also loved sitting at the bar that overlooks the open kitchen. They offer those seats for guests who want a more immersive, interactive dining experience. It was really cool to watch the chefs create each masterpiece. Overall a truly memorable and delicious experience!

From the window-shaped mirrors to the vintage décor on the walls, every corner feels warm and thoughtfully designed. They also have an adorable backyard patio that I didn't notice until I was leaving. Had I known, I definitely would have chosen to enjoy brunch out there. The food, however, was a bit underwhelming. It leans heavily toward a simple, family-style Italian breakfast--comforting, healthy, and lightly seasoned rather than rich or indulgent. The presentation is also quite rustic instead of picture-perfect. We ordered two pork belly dishes: the Pork Belly Benedict, which swaps the traditional English muffin for focaccia, and the Baked Polenta with stewed tomatoes, creamy polenta, glazed pork belly, and eggs. The eggs in both dishes were closer to soft-boiled than the runny poached eggs I was expecting. Overall, everything tasted fresh but quite mild, and honestly felt like something that could be recreated at home without too much effort. The service was also a little slow. We visited during brunch when the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but there was only one server working, so service felt a bit stretched. I'd come back for the atmosphere and the beautiful patio, and I might give their dinner menu a try.

Published on Main - Vancouver, BC…read more We chose Published on Main for dinner because it's one of the participating restaurants where we could use our Amex Platinum dining credit. Since it's also a Michelin-starred restaurant, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally experience it. Our dinner lineup was: Aebleskiver Milk Bun Belgian Endive Dungeness Crab GBP Gnocchi BBQ Beef Striploin Most of the dishes are designed for sharing, with the exception of the Aebleskiver, which is served individually, so we ordered two. It's a round, savoury dough with herbs and pine nuts, topped with Kaluga caviar. The dough itself was delicious, but the caviar wasn't quite to my taste. I prefer caviar with that distinct salty, creamy and buttery flavour, while I found this particular Kaluga very mild and almost tasteless. Everything else, however, was fabulous. Dungeness Crab - My absolute favourite of the evening. Beautifully executed and packed with flavour. Belgian Endive - A very close second and probably one of the biggest surprises of the meal. Who knew endive could be this memorable? BBQ Beef Striploin - The Michelin-worthy dish for me. Beautifully prepared and a great way to finish our savoury courses. The Milk Bun and GBP Gnocchi were also excellent and rounded out the meal nicely. The atmosphere is polished but not overly formal--I'd describe it as business casual. Most guests were dressed accordingly; you could probably count on one hand the number who weren't. Despite the restaurant being busy, I didn't find it loud at all. We could comfortably chat and hear each other throughout dinner, which I really appreciated. Service was cordial, professional and knowledgeable. Each dish was presented with a clear description, adding to the overall dining experience without making it feel overly ceremonial. Overall, Published on Main lived up to its reputation. With the exception of the caviar not being to my personal taste, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The Dungeness Crab alone is something I would happily return for. Definitely a restaurant I would recommend to friends and family--especially for a special occasion or if you're looking to put that Amex Platinum dining credit to very good use!

The candied pine nuts and cherry toppings were a really nice addition to the dish. The beef tar tar was tasty and slightly acidic. We had the Elk served rare, and it was delicous, but I didn't liked the cubed pieces. The stuffed pappardelle was soo good. I liked the hint of lemon, as it really elevated the dish. The duck with beet sauce was so nice. The duck had a nice crispy skin. The beets were one of my favorites. They were slightly acidic and sweet. The summer beans were very smooth and not like previous bean dishes that I have tried. The milk buns with butter didn't have much flavor, but the bun itself was nice and fluffy. The Octopus' sauce was so good and the Octopus itself was tender. I found the Maitake a bit too salty for me, but otherwise it was enjoyable. The Lambchetta was our least favorite dish of the night. It was a touch salty and had a hint of hoisin to it. The strawberry mille flavors were good, but the puff was a bit dry. The strawberry gelato was my favorite dessert. The gellee was nice as well. Walk through the forest dessert sounded interesting, but didn't hit the spot. I didn't really enjoy the mushroom flavor. It reminded me of Chinese herbal medicine. The coffee flavor wasn't bad.
