Was there the Saturday before Halloween and the place was packed... great DJ... and the Black Widow Martini was amazing!! Went back again this week on Tuesday and they had $5 pizza and burger/fries specials which were very good... Pizza is thin crispy crust, just how I like it.... Bartenders are friendly and attentive. Lounge..? Really, where? Cuz it's not here. It's just a bar with a space on the side as big as my bedroom that you can kinda lounge at. Err yeah, nice...... lounge. That was pretty disappointing. Anyway, its pretty mellow the times I've been- even on a weekend night with the music super loud. Speaking of music, I liked it for the most part. They had great 80s music going at first, then when it got later they played more top 40 stuff. Service is friendly but slooooow and flaky while the food is solid. We were looking for some place as a couple since child who only wants sushi was at camp. Tried here because of the patio. Well music too loud to talk so went inside and sat by the open front. Ordered a glass of wine. The smallest wine glass I've see lately other than corporate open bar happy hours or two dollar specials at OTB's. It was $8 and nothing special. Food. The calamari was perfect. My Chicken Caesar salad, not so much. A pile of lettuce, croutons and very dry chichen bits. DH did enjoy his burger. Was here last night for a social. We were placed in the back but it was a nice cozy space. Several appetizers were passed around including various sliders (beef and chicken), chips and dips but my weakness were there homemade kettle chips! I just want to start by saying that I like the music. I haven't been to this place since June of 2011. And I decided to come to the place for my bday celebration this weekend. I had a good time. But never image my boyfriend getting over charged. Like I called the same day after getting home and ask to speak with the manager about the extra charges. Never got a phone call back this tells a lot how he/she handles theirs customers. I recommend to the bartenders to ask their customer for their ID's instead of having the customer yelled their names and preventing people from adding their drinks to anyone open tab. I believe this is what happened to my boyfriend. You guys are so unprofessional and someone else will actually do something and you guys will regret it. Have a nice day. I hope you stay in business. I came here for drinks on a Saturday night. They have $5 margarita specials with a variety of flavors. It's a good location to watch sports... there are large screens everywhere. The Blackhawks game was on most and a few had college football too. In the back, there's a good lounge area with couches that you can reserve or it's first come, first served. Overall, the prices were decent but they ran out of Honey Jack! I was just getting started. Ugh. So I wasn't happy that I had to switch it up halfway through. Headed to Vintage Lounge for the first time on Saturday evening for a light dinner and drinks and was presently surprised! The place was a bit slow when we first entered at 8:30 but things steadily picked up. We tried the arancini appetizer and the flatbread with parm and arugula, and both were excellent. In fact, I was still drooling over memories of the flatbread the next morning! The staff at the restaurant was great too. Our waitress (I forgot her name, but a cute, shorter gal with long dark hair) was fantastic!! As the evening wore on, the chef, freed from cooking duties, circulated the room and talked with guests. When we complimented him on the flatbread, he gave my entire party his card and told us to talk with him about a hook-up on an appetizer the next time we were in. As we were on our way out around 12:45 pm, the crowd was really pouring in and the dance floor was packed. What a nice addition to Little Italy! read more

When I came to this place quite a bit I always got the pizza. It's nothing gourmet but it was thin, crispy and got the job done. Over time I eventually started to venture on other parts of the menu, and always left satisfied. If you want to relax and have dinner or watch a game, come during the weekday after 6ish as it doesn't get crowded at all. If you want to party the night away with some UIC Flames then stop by late night Thurs-Saturday. I like open concepts and big spaces, and this place has that. Plenty of seating and tables. I went here with a group of friends from UIC, and being the only guy from a different college, I was excited to give it a shot. It was a nice place: dim lighting allowing for decent nightlife atmosphere, friendly crowd (a woman at the bar got the bartender's attention for me), and it wasn't super crowded that you couldn't move anywhere. The bar tenders were pretty attentive too, I didn't have to wait more than 3 minutes for a drink. My favorite part was the DJ. He was playing house music, which I love. Most places I've gone to play top 40s all the time and that can get sooooo old, no matter how drunk you are haha. I had a great time here, I hope to go here again. read more

I actually really like this place. I waited to go a couple times before I yelped. I came here for my birthday and twice just to have a few drinks. The bartenders, security and the overall service is great. I have been lucky with service here. Our waitress kept asking how we were and the appetizers are delicious! This place looks very nice, is very inviting, and the burgers were great. I think there should be a better beer selection, especially on tap, but it works. The service and the atmosphere however were terrible. We walked in off the street in the mood for bar food but not in the mood for the loudness of Hawkeyes. I was excited reading the menu, especially the variety of burgers, including kobe beef. Our waitress barely paid attention to us (my boyfriend and I), instead flirting the entire night with the table next to us of middle-aged men that were buying her multiple shots. There were very few tables with people, yet it took us 15 mins to get a beer. I will say, the food runner was very friendly and nice, and the food did taste great. Then the UIC kids on a bar crawl walked in. We were done with our food and beers by then, waiting for the waitress to acknowledge us and bring our check. But there was fresh meat to flirt with so we were forgotten. We finally flagged her down and our menu had 2 drinks rung up on it that weren't ours, so we had to wait again. Then I tried to pay with credit card, but after waiting 10 mins for her to pick up the check, I took back my card and laid down cash - barely enough to cover the bill but at this point she didn't deserve much of a tip anyways. Final review: I'll go early to avoid the college rush for those burgers, but by no means will expect speedy service. read more

This place is strange. It's a beautiful spacious room. I love the mahogany bar and the ceiling fan fans. The overall aesthetic of the place reads Brandy and Cigars. But the servers...girls in tank tops, the beer...domestic, the theme nights... frat house. I just don't get it. However the wings were good. I've been living in Little Italy for a little over a year now and had been looking for my "go-to" bar on Taylor Street. I think I've found it in Vintage Lounge. The food, especially the burgers, is delicious, and like most people have commented, the decor is really impressive. I took a buddy of mine there for dinner the other night and he couldn't stop raving about how nice the place looked -- which guys don't normally do. During the day the place is pretty barren, which is a shame, but people usually flood the place during the weekend nights. I've been recommending this bar to any friend that will listen for the past couple months now, so hopefully we can transform this place into Taylor Street's "it" spot for more than just the weekends. I threw my birthday party here last weekend and the staff treated me like royalty -- not a surprise, considering I paid for bottle service and the VIP section, but I give them lots of credit for helping making it a great night. I have been through here a few times with coworkers for various going away after-work drinks or celebrations, it is a short walk from the hospitals. Service is slightly slow and the wait staff seem typically a little strained or rushed, which I don't blame them for in a busy noisy bar. Later in the night it can get pretty loud and screamy college-crowdy which is not really my scene. Decor is more minimal with big open spaces and a nice solid central bar. We were looking for a no fuss patio and a beer location to replace our old stand by and (recently closed) 3 Aces. We stopped in to Vintage Lounge after striking out across the street at the Hawkeye bar (no service after over 20 mins of being sat). While we didn't know what to expect by Vintage Lounge, we were pleasantly surprised by the back patio - ITS HUGE! Friendly staff, good beer, no fuss hang out vibe. There was a bit of a mix up with our order but the staff was speedy to resolve it. Alls well that ends well. While the back patio drew me in, I anticipate coming back once it's too cold to sit outside. The inside is surprisingly more of pub feel. Judging from the name and what we could see from across the street, we anticipated Vintage Lounge was a wine bar. read more

Drinks were $6 for a vodka soda. I was not a fan of the music. It was all top 40 when I went. I would like some variety, but no all top 40. Just trying to go to new places on a regular basis. This place has a good mix of people if you don't want to go to a "This/That" type of place. There were 20's, 30's, 50's, families and a few Soprano types. The service was acceptable, but the food delivered. They had a nice menu, but nowadays you never really know until you taste it.
