He explained that because the beads were sewn all over the dress, he would need to carefully hand sew and adjust everything instead of using a machine. Despite the detailed labor involved, he was incredibly kind, patient, and willing to go the extra mile. When I returned for my fitting, I was amazed -- the dress fit absolutely perfectly and exactly how I had envisioned it. Since I'm very petite, several inches needed to be taken in around the bust and hips, so I truly appreciated the care and precision he put into the alterations. I took my formal gown to Monika's for alterations. It was such a stressful experience. I am so glad…read moremy best friend was with me for support. There was a lot of gaslighting so it was so helpful to have someone else to confirm that I wasn't imaging things. -I had to go back 5 times. She would promise things and then they weren't done when promised. At one of the fittings, a woman came in to pick up, but her items weren't ready. She said it was the second time she was promised her items would be ready. She was told it was prom season and they couldn't turn prom dresses away. -She took out the zipper of my dress to make it slightly bigger in the waist, but although I had lost more than 10 pounds, the waist was tighter. She said, no it was bigger. -After the first hemming, one side was too short and the front and back were too long. Luckily, she remeasured and was able to fix it. That was so stressful. I didn't think she could fix too short. The back was still too long, but I was afraid to have her try again. She again, kept telling me that she had measured and the hem was good. -I showed her one of the sequins was loose and instead of fixing it, she just pulled it off. I asked if she wanted the little repair bag of beads and sequins and she gave a little chuckle and said no. -My dress is taffeta and she made several little snags- one on front, more on the back where she took out the zipper. -She had to take off the sleeves to shorten the bodice, but they were put back wrong and she had to take them off and do them over. -The built in bra was put in way too high and she had to redo that. Then she barely attached them and they moved around while I was wearing the dress. Afterwards, I went back to ask her to attach the bra. She told me she attached it in 4 places and insisted on showing me. When she saw it was barely attached in 2 places, she said see, it is attached in 2 places. If it is attached more it will flatten the dress. That is a sample of the many gaslighting experiences. -One of the 5 times I had to go back, there was a young woman trying on what looked like a prom dress. Monika (I don't actually know her name) was struggling to zip it up, but she kept going. The fabric ripped. not the zipper, but the fabric. -This is so long, but I wanted to give details for a better picture of my experience. It was so stressful. I honestly thought she was ruining my very expensive dress and I was going to have to find something else to wear to my son's wedding. Based on my experience and what I saw while I was there, I am so surprised that Monika's has any good reviews.

He did two suits during a really busy season, no issues. Then recently turned around a suit and a dress shirt in two days when he had a full week to do it. Even the initial week timeline was short, considering my alteration requests. Everything comes back steamed and neatly packaged. He gives honest advice, takes measurements, and doesn't charge you for every little thing like some places do. The details really make the outfit, minor adjustments across all my nicer clothing really brought everything together. I'm grateful I found this spot, it's fair and great value. We promptly made an in person appt. I was in and out of there within 20 mins. We agreed upon a week turnaround. Yet, Mei contacted me a few days later saying the job was done early and ready for pickup. I could not be happier with her work. They look amazing. In summary: 1) Mei is professional, kind and communicative 2) Mei did the work in half the time allotted 3) Mei's work looks perfect, cannot tell it was altered; it simply fits perfectly I will continue to give Mei more jobs and am grateful I now have a tailor I can trust and rely on.

I didn't like that so I asked Mei Ling if she can fix it by sewing a strait stitch around the straps and around the under arm area. She suggested since it stretches, she suggested sewing a zig zag stich. Mei Ling called me later in the day and she was thinking of how to fix it, she gave me an alternative solution - she face time to show me what she thought this would be a better solution (taking in the excess material on the inside material and sewing it and you don't see the stitching at all. After she explained it to me, I said, yes, go ahead and fix it that way. She called me the next day and told he she is done and I could come by and pick it up. I tried my bathing suit on at home, and it worked out perfectly. The strap area does not roll, and you cannot see the stitching. She did a wonderful job. The workmanship looks really good and the price is reasonable. I am so pleased at the work she did. I would definitely recommend here workmanship. I attached a picture.
