I came here based on recommendations for Maegy to do my hair. She was awesome! I booked 240 mins but it ended up taking a little longer than expected because my hair really needed some fixing, lol. She moved a couple of her appointments and finished mine anyways. So sweet of her. And I'm really impressed with my hair. It looks even better than I thought it was going to! Sooo hit or miss. It feels like for every GREAT set I get from here (& there have been quite a few) there's 3 BAD ones. The level of unpredictable is unmatched. This is one of those. I went in w a photo, & while I know I can be a high maintenance & particular with my nails, I was prepared. The results I got was no where near what I was looking for, & halfway through I mentioned multiple times how I didn't like them & it was "sit tight, let me shape, oh after they're painted you'll like them just wait..." then finally "well they'll look good in two weeks" I didn't drive 40 minutes for a 2 week process. & then on top of that finished off the set with blaming me for my disapproval? This is extremely disappointing as they know me by name when I call in to make my appts at this point. & like I said not every set is bad, some are sooo beautiful but I just can't deal w not knowing if I'm gonna walk out feeling like Beyoncé or a Garbage Pail Kid. Between the shape & length & excuses made to not redo the work I hate this set so fckn much. but maybe in 2 weeks they'll look just ok. Won't be returning. read more

My nails turned out gross there. I went in for a full set of acrylic nails and what I got were the thickest nails I have ever had. I had to go somewhere else to get them fixed. They were awful. People were freindly but that is about all I can say. read more

I've had quick and great waxing service here! I can't recall who did it, but the shaping is always great, always nicely trimmed up, and I'm always relaxed afterwards. I've never had problems here, and I hope never to have any. I will always come here for my eyebrow waxing! read more

Today 3 if us went in for mani-pedi, had an appointment ahead of time. They started with my sister, then started on my mom, I waited an hour, in the now cold water waiting to be done. Had Three techs shove color charts at me to decide my color, then took them away. I asked multiple times if I could have powder on my nails and and a color match to my toes, all said yes I even had a pic of what I was wanting. By the time my pedi was done two hours had gone by and my sister who has a full acrylic set was done. It took three of them to get through my pedi. I chose my color for my toes and she did not put enough polish on to even cover so the third tech put another coat and top coat on. We then get over to the nail table and she started cutting off my nails to do tips when I said many times I wanted powder no added length just some added strength. She then stopped and put tips on the two she hacked. Then come to find out they did not have a powder even close to what was on my toes. Had to use a totally different color. Acrylic for first coat, powder for the tips. By this point I just wanted to be finished due to being upset by not getting what I asked for and both my sister and mom had been waiting an hour for me to be done. Then to be charged $106. for what was supposed to be a $30 pedi and $40 for powder, $10 for gel on toes (+5 for cheese grader) have no idea what else I was charged for But I was ready to get out of there. Was asked 2.5 hours into our treatment if I would like something to drink, I didn't want to be here any longer to wait for you to take the time. They over book and don't have enough techs to cover the amount of customers. The techs did not talk to any of us, kinda felt like I was an after thought for my service and within my group. They need some one to ask what we are wanting and have a card to mark it down so whom ever you get understands what we are wanting. Having a listing of services and less than a minute to decide is bad customer service. In the end my nails look ok but still not happy with what I ended up with and my sister is not happy with the shaping of her nails as they are not at all the same shape. So much for nice nails for her wedding. It should not have taken 3 hours, I understand with getting more than a basic mani it would be extra time, but for each of us be be waiting for another in our group for an hour is not acceptable. read more

I work as a caregiver and I came here thinking I was going to have an amazing pedicure experience but I was met with a rushed technician (Maggie), and an experience my anxiety couldn't even handle. I had arrived at 6:30pm for an acrylic set of toes I let Maggie chose the color, and we agreed on peach. As she was doing my set she used the nail drill too long over my natural nail to the point where it started to heat up my actual skin, and as I consistently moved she kept on going back to the same toe and heating up my skin! The color then changed from Peach to an ugly tangerine under the UV light. I was running late to an event at this point (that I had to reschedule due to this) which I had informed Maggie about, and so she finished the nail set at 7:10pm and I had to leave by 7:20pm. She hadn't even started the water for the actual pedicure and since initially I had chosen the 30 minute pedicure package including cuticle care, a scrub, lotion and a message which could not be all done in 10 minutes. I told Maggie I could come in some other time and do the 30 minute pedicure and asked if I "could just do a 10 minute message instead" and get charged for that instead, she looked up at me, nodded, smiled and giggled acknowledging what I said. She then disregarded what I said and did what she wanted to do a 30 minute pedicure in under 10 minutes, she did not care if she had to rush through it she just wanted the money. She rushed through EVERY STEP, THE SCRUB, THE MASSAGE, ALL OF IT!! At the end of my services my legs were lathered in lotion and oil, even as I went to sit in my car! and as I went to bed that night! As I was leaving the man who works at the desk asked me if I was dissatisfied with my service, I told him yes! Since the whole pedicure had only been 10min long and the color wasn't even the same color agreed upon not. He then proceeded to ask the technician how much it was, once answered he continued to charge me the $81 and just say "sorry". I said "whatever" because my anxiety would't allow me to say anything else but in my body language and tone, I communicated that I was HIGHLY UNSATISFIED. I was very disappointed because I did not have time for a 30 min pedicure and had voiced that to Maggie and told her to please do only a 10 minute message before she even started the water for the pedicure! I then called back 5 minutes after I left and voiced my concerns, and after explaining to him my experience he asks me "Well what are you doing this for? What do you want me to do about it", sir that is your job to figure out and accommodate to your customers, and it's apparent you don't care about your customers. The first thing you should've said was "well how could we make this up to you, or "How can we satisfy your experience?" after the phone call I was even more dissatisfied. Now after talking to a couple members of my community, they continued to advise me how I should've spoken up because we all make hard earned money and although I have anxiety this was still very unprofessional, so I called back the next day and got told the same thing but much worse he repeated to me "I don't know what you want me to do about it" "You chose your service before you sat down!" (I asked for a change before the water started) "So why did you pay the $80 if you were dissatisfied then?" (Anxiety)"What products do you use huh?" "She did the service" (30min does not equal 10min)"I stand behind my technicians". All I wanted was recompencation for the poor pedicure service I got, but was met with even more dissatisfaction. I continue to wait for a call back from Maggie to resolve this, but at this point they have been so beyond rude and unprofessional that this is the first bad review I've have ever written on a business, this was also sent to the BBB. read more

My best friend & I went the afternoon before her wedding. We had asked for mani-pedi's at the same time. First off, Kelly was our technician and she kept us waiting for half an hour. Then she did us one at a time-VERY slowly. 3.5 hours later, I had to take my nail polish off and redo it myself and then do my OWN pedicure. Really? After 3 hrs she had not even started on my pedi. Then Kelly got huffy with us because her next appt came in and we were keeping her from it. Last, but least, Kelly charged us for all the services even though I did my own. My friend took her aside and objected but to no avail. Did I also mention that Kelly would also leave us during the services and disappear for 15-20 min. at a time? It was the worst quality and service I have ever gotten at a mani-pedi ever...ever. Disappointed and felt ripped off. Our time pre-wedding was very valuable and wasted by Kelly. Wedding was at McMenamins and we made sure to tell the sales director about our woeful experience. read more

I bought a 3 month tan pass that I used only 3 times and then left my job that was down the street from this tan salon. I live in Beaverton and I couldn't just go there to tan there for 3 months. So a co-worker bout a pass to which was charged on my credit card by the owner by error! Anyway, I called her to tell her how I lost my job in forest grove and wont have income coming in. She acted like she was very understanding and promised to send me a check in the mail. I gave her my info. I was very grateful because I have no money. Well over 2 weeks went by, I called several times and no call back, finally she answered the phone and admitted she lost my address and contact info, that she would send me a partial refund. It's never happened. I called there several times and her employees said they would send it. Never happened. One said well there's a sign saying NO REFUNDS. I never saw this. Regardless if there is some sign, prior to me knowing this THE OWNER said she would, but never did. Don't say your going to do something then just blow people off for over a month! I'm filing a complaint with BBB as well. Bad Business to make arrangements with a customer with no intentions of doing it! read more

I first went here in March to check prices for tanning prior to our Hawaii trip. It was much more reasonable than the Ultimate Tan & Spa in Cornelius, closer to me, and I didn't have to wait too long for a bed. Then I decided to try Kelly for eyebrow waxing. My former technician had been waxing my eyebrows too thinly and so Kelly's been trying to fill them in. I am pretty happy with this spa and plan on trying their pedicures. My friend comes to my house to do my hair, so I doubt I'd use their stylists, but I have watched them 'in action.' read more

I absolutely love the Hot Spot in Forest Grove. The owners are super friendly and the Stylists do an awesome job. I have had my hair and my daughters hair done by Maegy and Kat and they are both great. Ive been completely satisfied with my hair every time. Ive recommended them to other people who have also been completely satisfied. As far as the tanning goes, I use the upgraded beds and they are always clean. The rates are very reasonable and I usually don't have to wait long to get in. I would highly recommend the Hot Spot for all your tanning and hair styling needs. read more

k I dont like doin this kind of thing,but I had enough of being ignore and not getting my refund back.Ive been going to Hot Spot Tan and Spa in forest grove for a few years now. In April of 2016 my husband brought me the package for a year $225.Well on Aug 18 2016 i went to the doctors and i got a note from the doctor telling the tanning place I have a skin condition starting and it can get worse that i need to stop tanning.Which sucks but I dont want cancer. Ever since then I took my note in and tried to close my account and get my refund back for the time I dont get to use which adds up to $150 the tanning place has been giving me the run around and ignoring me and now being rude on the phone.I dont appreciate how im being treated.all i want is my refund and close my account i dont think its right they want to keep my money that im not able to be using.I even wrote to BBB and they tried for a month to get ahold of them and they would even return their phones calls.I only think its fair to get my money for the time i cant use ,if it was the other way around they would want their money.they were a great place till i started going through this drama.so now im posting everywhere and getting ahold of the attroney general and giving them a bad review till they close my account and tell me to come pick up my refund for the time i cant use. its only fair.... read more
