I get a voicemail while driving almost blocks away, only to be told it had to be rescheduled because the Doctor's assistant had to go help another store. This place charged my daughter $150 to have her eyes checked when she has double coverage. When I asked why it was so much they said because they charged her a medical visit and couldn't bill her vision insurance on the same day so she had to pay out of pocket. The manager was not only rude, unclear, and unprofessional but also laughed at me when I asked her to explain the charges that were not told to us before my daughter went back in the room. Wouldn't suggest this eye doctor for my friends or family or anyone else reading this review. read more

There selection is slightly better than the other VisionWorks, but still don't understand why vision works still does everything manually. There locations feel old compared to LensCrafters. So I purchased a pair of glasses and sunglasses from them since my insurance is very limited to where I can use it. So when my glasses come in I go to try them on. They are straight, but are crooked on my face so when I tell them to adjust them the lady tells me they are straight to her and gets an attitude when adjusting them. She "adjust" them three times with no difference. So I leave frustrated. When I go get my wife glasses at LensCrafters the rep that helps my wife there notices how crooked they are and adjust them to how they need to be. Horrible service post sale. I purchased a frame from a nice older woman with red hair, didn't catch her name. We agreed to switch out my old glasses when the new ones came in so I could get the old ones updated with the new prescription. New glasses come in, I pick them up and give a man working there my old ones. The new glasses slide down my face a lot so I will wait for the old ones to be updated and I'll return the new. 2 days later, I get a text saying my old glasses have been updated and are ready to get picked up. I drive 30 minutes and walk into the store to be handed UNCUT LENSES. Where are my old frames? Why aren't the lenses in the frames? Every employee there is dumbstruck. They don't know where my frames are. The frames I dropped off 2 days ago. I've gone to Warby Parker and ordered new glasses that look great. Gonna get a refund for the ones I bought from here. Hopefully they find my old glasses. Horrible customer service, the place isn't organized, and the employees don't communicate with each other. I highly recommend going elsewhere for your glasses. read more

I went here to get my daughter some emergency glasses after an eye infection. She was not able to wear her contacts for a week. They were so helpful and friendly. It took about an hour, and I had glasses in hand. They were awesome!! read more

There's two women there that makes this place decent, they try very hard to accommodate any issues. That's why I rated them a bit better than the experiences we have gotten from the store in the past. My main gripe with this place is that there's a guy who isn't very helpful nor knowledgable. I was waiting on my glasses and he didn't bother to wipe them down or anything, just stood there like he was bored and wanted to hurry me up out the door. Maybe he needs to be retrained My other gripe is that we bought two pairs of glasses a while back and both were scratched. Not sure where the scratches came from, but this would have been the third time happening. Maybe check the lenses before cutting them if it's not them at the store? read more

I am literally standing at the Visionworks counter writing this review after being left to wait an unacceptable amount of time before even being acknowledged. There are FOUR customers currently in the store waiting to be served and literally just ONE employee going from person to person so of course the wait is ridiculous! I don't blame the employee because I'm sure he didn't make the schedule but the admin of this store obviously needs better leadership training. Definitely will be taking by business elsewhere. read more

HORRIBLE experience, unprofessional management, got my prescription wrong 3 times/Regional Manager Nicky claims to be certified and trained/contacted both California and Texas and they have no record of the individuals that assist the consumer for their glasses being trained or certified. In addition, my last pair of glasses (purchased over 2 years ago at Visionworks) was replaced and nobody from the location notified me/kept telling me that they was not there. During my visit in July 2019, they found them sitting in a drawer SINCE March 2018. Large staff turnover. Now after my Doctor ordered them to correct the prescription, the VP of Retail informs me that "they made a decision" to not assist me, no refund to my insurance or myself has been done to date. Nicky has refused to see me and did not keep an appointment that she scheduled to handle this complaint/issue. The manager Justin that made the errors informed me by phone that "Nicky" said that I was no longer welcome to the store. read more

First walked in- not greeted. Once we made a decision we got some help and the lady was great! THEN she said that she was going to give us a call once we sent the prescription via text to her, but that she would make the order in the meantime and sent us on our way. So happy that we got what we needed and she accommodated us. THEN she didn't call us, no response at all after we sent the message. Called and got hung up on. Then I had to go there just to make sure everything was sent, and she received the prescription- first of all she acted dumb when she saw me like she didn't know why I was there. Then she said she did receive it and just forgot (which I let it go because I can be understanding too) and then she asked if she could have it again JUST INCASE. That itself made me question she had even gotten it in the first place! My husband called days later to see if it was in, and besides that they had placed him on hold a couple times it seemed like they didn't even know what they were doing. Then YESTERDAY he goes in because, it was in, and these idiots didn't even have the frames we ordered, he had the glass NO FRAMES! What in the?! They said that if he could wait 30 min until they figured it out. He said he would come back the following day and about 20 min passes after he left they called and said "we found it!". Ridiculous service, no one is on the same page and management isn't up to par either. Very disappointed for a first time client. We will be going to the other locations IF we decide to continue business with them. I gave 2 stars because we liked the glasses we selected. Update 2/17/17 As you can see company contacted me via YELP. Gave them my information and never received a call or even response to my email. So incompetence runs all the way to the top of the chain. So disappointing.... and the glasses don't even close! read more

Went to the Visionworks at Stonebriar Mall yesterday to pick up a pair of glasses. I arrived at 5:10 pm. There was only one person on duty who was helping another customer. He nicely said he would be with me shortly so I began to patiently wait. 25 minutes later I was still waiting when another person who looked like he worked there entered the store and walked past me toward the back of the store. I asked him whether he worked at Visionworks and he responded "yes." When I asked him if he could help me, he abruptly said he would be with me in a moment and then disappeared behind a door to the back of the store. 10 minutes later he exited the back, approached me and said in a very abrupt manner, "can I help you." I responded that I could not believe there was only one employee at the store to serve customers and instead of providing some reasonable response, again abruptly repeated, "can I help you." I said to him that I didn't appreciate his being "testy" and he then got very aggravated and said "do you want me to help you or not." I asked for the manager and to my surprise he said he was the manager. I then asked him if I could have his card so I knew his name and said I wanted to report him to management to which he responded, "go for it" and then handed me his card which identified him as "Justin Jones, General Manager." He then turned around, went to the back of the store and disappeared behind the door to the back room. After waiting another 5 minutes, the employee who was there when I arrived was freed up and graciously assisted me. I told him it was unfortunate that he was left manning the entire store alone and that his manager did not give him any support. He shook his head in a manner which conveyed that he agreed but in a way to say, "not much I can do about it." Visionworks should be ashamed of the manner in which their customer was treated by this employee who they have elevated to the position of manager. Visionworks should recognize that Justin Jones poorly represents them and that his customer service skills are woefully inadequate. read more

Went to this location a few months back and worked with Gabriel, he was outstanding. I was looking for prescription glasses and sunglasses. I had a multitude of questions...and follow-up questions...not to mention a very unique prescription. Gabriel was very patient and worked with me (and Maui Jim) on getting the exact frames and prescription I needed. We even had to send them back to Maui Jim to adjust and Gabriel kept me informed during the entire process. His customer service and follow though were exceptional. VisionWorks supported him (and Me) throughout. We'll definitely be back! read more

Bought top of the line $670 glasses. They refused to adjust them properly. Very poor service. Sell them and kick you out the door.

My son had an appt. on a Wed afternoon, Thursday he wakes up with an infected eye & Friday his eye is swollen shut & red & painful & giving him head aches. We go back there on Friday to see the Dr. regarding his new eye infection, for which the Dr. prescribed him an antibiotic for the infected eye & charged $100 for this appt. & the receptionist & Dr. were denying that he got it from them. But, my son told me that the eye instrument you put your eyes up to had a sticky, gummy feel and felt it on his eye area afterwards, & then felt it on his fingers when he wiped the area after they moved the machine for the rest of the exam. Also, I was going to let it slide when he told me after his appt that the receptionist who is also the manager was very rude, impolite & disrespectful to him & his girl friend while there for the initial appt. So regardless of them denying that they were at fault , I know that they were. He has never had an eye infection and as a nurse it all adds up to their equipment being un clean. I would NOT recommend this place for eye exams. Ironically I had my eye appt. at Key Whitman on Monday & they wiped the machine with alcohol while I was sitting there, I suggest you also watch this being done before putting your eyes up to those eye exam machines. read more
