I went to Visionworks last year to get my prescription so I could get contacts and possibly some glasses. After calling for my appointment the front desk was very rude and seemed like they wanted to rush me off the phone. Yesterday, I went in to get my prescription so I could order some glasses online and when I got home they didn't fill out the prescription fully so I couldn't order them. After calling today, the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and said I needed an appointment to come and get the rest done. After asking if I could schedule an appointment, she said, NO. That's it. When I asked why? She said the front desk people needed to handle that....I thought to myself, what do you do there and why did you answer the phone? If you need a prescription or any eye wear needs, definitely avoid this place and save your time and money. read more

The workers are polite, and the store accepts a wide range of vision insurance policies which is what brings us here. However, the service is soooo slow. We had glasses and contacts ordered between my wife and myself. After four weeks, I didnt hear anything, so I called in to check and was put on hold for several minutes only to find out our product hasn't been shipped yet. A couple of weeks ago. My wife ordered glasses;we didn't get a call, so we as re in on Sunday to find out if they arrived, only to be told it will be a 20 minute wait just to see if our glasses have arrived. We just found that they arrived, but we received no phone call to let us know. After a few months in process of getting our glasses and contacts, we finally received everything. However, we do have to make one more trip to the store. There was only one worker in the store today, and she cannot adjust the glasses well, so we have to go back next week to have them adjusted. A couple of the people working in this store are good, but some are not. The lack of communication and long delays between ordering something and having it arrive is unacceptable. read more

I called Visionworks because I had broken my only pair of glasses on a Sunday! John F. took my call and he said that he might be able to find a frame that would hold my lenses. I went right away and when I arrived he was busy with another customer. I asked him how long I was going to have to wait and I think he said around 20 minutes. I don't remember what I said but I'm sure I showed/voiced my disappointment and impatience. John was so great to me because he asked another employee to help his customer so he could help me. He found a couple of frames that worked with my lenses. I selected one and within minutes I had a functioning pair of glasses and I was out the door. In my opinion John had great customer service. read more

This place is phenomenal! To be greeted right away even when there are several people in the store. That doesn't happen very often in this world anymore. Their promotion of 2 sets of glasses for $49, I didn't believe and if it was true I thought they probably have frames I wouldn't even want...boy was I wrong. There was a huge selection of frames!!! My son and I were in at thanksgiving 2022 timeframe and had eye exams (I did contact exam). Each ordered two pair of glasses and I was given trial pair of contacts. Picked up our glasses and happy with those but trial pair of contacts were not a good match so on my follow up was told another trial contact would be ordered and would receive a call when they were in. Nothing. I reached out to the store and was then told "they were on backorder" which is fine but no communication was ever relayed to me. She then said doctor would get different trial contacts for me a month and a half later, I'm still without a trial set. Four months with no resolve and my son and I spent a lot of money but for this type of customer service I will not be going there again. Another business will appreciate my business. Do not visit at least this location as their service is terrible. Locate another optometrist. Run! read more

Avoid this office like the plague!!! I went in recently and went to eye doctor, would prescribed me contacts and glasses. Come to find out the the glasses area and doctor office are two separate office. Took forever to get my glasses, but the worst part was after about 2 months of using the contacts my right eye got red for about a week and I went back to the office and was informed this is not a medical faculty and I would have to paid for this check up out of pocket. What a joke. This whole facility is a scam from Visionworks to the eye doctor, Tom Sowash O.D. Go anywhere but here. read more

Our rep Mari helped myself and family with getting squared away with glasses. She was very helpful with suggestions on frames and got us out of there in record time. We came in for my daughters appointment (5 minutes behind) They did a great job at asking us to sanitize our hands and take our temperature. My daughters temperature was taken first as she was the patient. I was told to wait while she went to the next counter, then I was next. Temp was good and I proceeded to the next counter. I was getting my coverage info for the young lady and she was already a tad moody. After her assessment we were asked to go to the other side (frame selection) and as we were walking the Doctor told them we'd be getting two pairs of glasses, once I paid my copayment we walked through to the side he directed us to and we're waiting for them to help us. No one said anything so I asked if I can use a wipe to clean a frame so my daughter can try a pair on. The guy said they're already sanitizer and to go ahead but The lady on the other side said we had to reschedule cause it was 6 already and they couldn't stay later cause they're being monitored. I said ok I understand but no one told me anything after we directed here, the guy said he thought we had already picked out frames but the girl that took our payment had told him we were ready so that confused me. I asked for the prescription and even asked if we can go somewhere else with it, I was relieved to know we could. As were walking to the car my daughter tells me the girl was rude to her. That when she was sent in first, the girl asked for her insurance and she said she didn't know it, that I had it and I was getting my temperature taken but I'd be right over, and she told my daughter (with an attitude, "well she needs to get here like right now, cause I leave in 30 minutes" that was not ok! My daughter looks older but she's a teen. I did not appreciate someone talking to her like that, she's a child. If she was having a bad day or in a hurry to get out, do not take it on a patient and if you do, go ahead and try the parent. I tried calling them form the parking lot to cancel the appointment I booked for Monday as I will not be returning. read more

I was pleased with the optometrist at this location. The girl that helped me was Hispanic, probably in tiger early twenties. She was not very personable--I was assisted by her both when I arrived initially and when I picked up my glasses. My order of one pair of glasses was supposed to be ready by December 17. When I check the website may be a day before that it noted that my glasses needed to be addressed a bit more and I would receive an update the website or I should say the email that I received never updated and on December 29th I finally called the location to find out what the issue was. I believe the girl's name that answered the phone was Chloé. She said, "Oh, let me check the store and see if they're here." When she got back on the line, she said yes, we have them here. There was no apology--nothing. So I truly wonder if I had never called would I have ever received a call from them, or how long would it have taken for them to call me? I will probably never return to Visionworks because of this. read more

Shoutout to Michelle at Visionworks Talking Stick location in Scottsdale. I broke the hinge yesterday off my one year old glasses. They are not repairable. Well, just with electrical tape! I called the store and Michelle went to great lengths to help me out. She had the same frames drop shipped to a store in Ann Arbor where Ross and I are going this weekend. She has had them set aside and provided me with a managements contact info. The store will pop out my lenses and put them in the new frames and voila new glasses! She could not have been more helpful and refused a kudos email to management as she stated she just wanted to help out her clients. What a great experience today ordering my new glasses. I had my prescription as I recently had eye surgery and that was not an issue. The frame selection is huge!! Everyone was very helpful from the lady who welcomed me to Collin who took care of my getting the right lenses. Very impressed with how they are handling the COVID-19 issues from making my appointment over the phone to the requirement of a mask, taking one's temperature to sanitizing the individual stations and chairs. They provided a sanitized tray to put the frames you liked in and any frames that had been previously touched were separated until the were sanitized again. I dropped by here to see about getting a repair eyeglass kit and an adjustment on another pair of glasses. I was out running errands and figured this would only take a couple of minutes, like in the past. When I walked in a woman was standing behind the customer service desk and greeted me. She asked how she could help so I explained the reason for my visit. She said just give her a couple minutes, so I proceeded to take a look around for the repair kit myself. She was still behind the computer desk when I inquired about the screws inside the kit because they looked too big. She said they weren't universal, and to just wait because she was working on another woman's glasses. We were the only three people in the room. I heard another voice in the back and after I walked around a bit, another woman appeared (the tech). She asked how she could help, but before I could explain to her the other woman jumped in and told her why I was there. Then the phone rang so the tech answered right in front of me, and proceeded to have a personal conversation about why she was working today, and that she could get overtime, blah blah. Ridiculous! So after a couple minutes she asked the person on the phone if she wanted to see if, what I could only assume was the Dr, was available and she put the person on hold. I took a deep breath thinking, "Okay, she'll go check then come back and help me." So she came back and hung up, then walked away! Meanwhile, another customer had entered the store and was greeted. She was there for her eye appointment. The tech appeared from the back again and began helping her! Slightly irritated, I began to Google other eyeglass places in the area. I figured if I were to get any customer service before I found a place, I would stay and purchase something. I found Nationwide Vision on Chaparral and Hayden, and never got any more acknowledgement from anyone in the office, so I politely set the eyeglass kit on the counter and walked out. There is a difference between the Visionworks stores! It's the opticians! My long story starts with the BOGO deal by which I scored 4 pairs of Rx glasses for $1200.  My script is very expensive.  I got my 4 pair. They were ok....nothing great. Then I visited the Visionworks at the Pavilions. Spontaneous compulsion forced me to buy another pair. When I received these...well BAM !!! My vision was unbelievably clear in all 3 progressive areas. It was SURPRISING ... which indicated that I'd never been properly measured for progressives until JOHN, at the Pavilions, did the measurement.  I brought in my previously purchased 4 pairs.  JOHN remeasured all 4. All 4 were WAY OFF.  John's store had not been the store that made the 4 wrong pairs, but JOHN'S store took the loss for me and made it so I have 5 incredible, clear, and focused pairs of glasses. Thanks so much to John, Jacob and Taylor. You guys rock. read more

I called to see about getting my frames (not purchased from there) adjuster. The lady I spoke with was very nice and just told me to come right on in. I went in and was promptly greeted with a hi. The ladies were all nice and friendly. My frames were adjusted quickly and felt sooo much better! Awful experience here! The Dr. was knowledgable but the customer service was unprofessional and rude. The guy sitting at the optometrist desk was unpleasant, very rude and had a bad attitude. The receptionist guy at the front desk of the optometrist, was very unprofessional, and I saw him digging at the bottom of his shoe then after handling everything without washing his hands. As everyone is currently trying to use their Insurance and Flex Spending benefits before the year is out, getting glasses tops the list. I'd like to thank the entire staff at VisionWorks at Talking Stick Way. I read reviews from all nearby VisionWorks and the positive reviews at this location are well-deserved. Saba was amazing and helped me identify two pairs of frames that I really love and she did so without pressuring me to pick the most expensive one. Rather, she took into consideration what type of frame I was looking for and helped me sort through at least 30+ frames to narrow down to the two that were best fit for my face. Additionally, I'd like to highlight Sarah for her professionalism. I was at first dismayed upon arrival as I was not aware that their current promotion depends on whether you are using your Vision Insurance or not. Despite calling and asking about their offers, staff had previously just not conveyed the detail about insurance by phone. Throughout our discussion, Sarah was incredibly calm and professional. Moreover, she helped immensely with the processing of my insurance upon payment. I'll be back to this VisionWorks - they treat customers well and were a pleasure to interact with. read more

One of the nose pads had fallen off an old pair of sunglasses. I stopped by Visionworks and the technician put on a new one and cleaned them up and the sunglasses are like new! Thank you, Visionworks! And the price was awesome - no charge! read more

I have never really had problems with any of the employees here, but the wait times can be a little long due to (what seems like) a very understaffed office. I've never been treated disrespectfully, but have had to wait 20-30+ minutes just to talk with somebody. If they hired 1 or 2 more people it would make a huge difference. read more

I was all excited as my work just offered better vision coverage. Went to Visionworks, well I was confused. They told me I did not have a co-pay with my plan, well I knew I had a 20 dollar co-pay. Then I was to get lenses included and was quoted a price of $252.00 dollars. So I went to Pearl Vision and paid my 20 dollars and 15 more for upgraded frames. Last December, I purchased two pair of glasses from Visionworks on Indian Bend Rd. The buying experience was mediocre. But the follow up support, eight months later was horrible. One of the pair had some problems related to the temples. I was promptly told to contact the manufacture - and not in a friendly way. When I asked for help to adjust my other pair of glasses, the individual begrudgingly assisted. Just not a place I want to do business with. read more

Was in here last week for an eye exam. Exam went OK. However, when I got to discussing lenses with the sales person I was taken back about how little she knew about the lenses she was selling. Could not answer basic questions. However, I saw a frame I liked. Shopped around at a few stores and could not find a similar one, so I called back up and asked the person that answered the phone if I could buy only the frame and have my insurance company pick up most of the tab. She said that they could not do that. The only way she could make n insurance claim was if I purchased both the Lenses and frame together. This sounded strange but OK. I later called another Visionworks shop here in Phoenix, asked tif they had the same frame and if I could buy it using my insurance company to cover some of the cost. She told me yes, no problem. Do not think that the folks at this Visionworks shop have any basic understanding of lenses, insurance and the policy of Visionworks. read more
