We were really busy moving into our new home (with old windows) and I got sidetracked but friends have asked for window and shutters recommendation and I find myself always referring back to Vista! I just had our front 2 windows of our house replaced and I wanted to commend Jose & Leo for their amazing work! Please thank them for me again. Because our old windows were original to the house and were built into the frame, they had a lot more work cut out for them then they originally thought. They ended up staying for 3.5+ hours. They did an amazing job and kept me in the loop the entire time. I also loved how they cleaned the windows after they were installed and cleaned off my porch with a vacuum and cleaned my front door which was dusty too. They also covered our furniture in the room with a drop cloth and at the end vacuumed the room. It really made my job a lot easier for the clean up part. This are the most reputable business of this sort in the San Gabriel Valley (California). Their product (windows) is as advertised and their installation is "spot-on." In other words, the did the work extremely well, left no "mess" and helped with minor adjustments related to the window installation. We are, however, waiting for the screens--apparently a "mix-up" with the fabricator. The delay (ten days or so) is not important. Mark, one of Vista's office folk, was very helpful and kept us up to date (no lying--just straight talk). Finally, I would like to correct my last rating: "Jason" is really Shawn, and both guy in the crew we FIRST RATE. read more

Love my window coverings! I moved into a new condo without any window treatments. To my disbelief, most of my windows were all custom with odd sizes. Long story short I needed 4 different appointments to get 8 windows installed which required 2 days off of work to wait for them. None of the windows were custom, so I'm not sure if this is normal operating procedure for them to install windows on the timeline mentioned above. read more

We researched window companies and saw the excellent reviews from various people for VISTA Window Mfg., and decided to drop by their showroom in Monrovia to check it out. After that we felt comfortable enough to request an estimate (free, by the way). Phil, the owner, came to measure our windows and gave us the estimate the next day. Their price is very reasonable compared to other contractors that we went to in the area. Phil is a very nice person to talk to, and he explained the different types of windows available and answered all our questions. We decided we would pick Vista to do our new windows. On the scheduled day 10/3/2014, Vista's crew of 4 came early in the morning and finished the work in one day for our ten new windows as they promised. They are very neat and clean. After they finished the installation, one of crew members explained and demonstrated how to put in/remove the window screens, how each window operates, how to maintain (clean) them, etc. When work was completed, they did a walk-through with us and fixed anything...even little things to make sure we were happy with the installation. They did a great job, and the windows look so pretty. We are very happy with their service and definitely recommend Vista Window Mfg to anyone needing new windows. Very pleased with Vista Windows. Replaced 1/2 my windows 5 years ago and used Home Depot. They did a fine job and used quality windows. Came time to replace the rest of the windows and I shopped around. Home Depot was way over priced. AVW and Vista were 1/2 Depot's price and comparable. Why did I choose Vista? I decided to go with the local guy and am very happy that I did. I believe in buying local when I can. Vista was recommended to me by several friends who were really pleased with their experience with Vista - positive word of mouth was critical to my decision. Phil was the only guy who, when he came out, actually inspected the outside of my house and suggested possible installation alternatives. The other folks just measured inside and did not concern themselves with the outside appearance of the windows. Went with the wife to Vista's office/plant and saw the actual windows and their manufacturing space. Phil took the time to show us all of our options and also to walk us through his manufacturing area. The actual installation was very smooth. The two-man installation team was prompt, friendly, neat and professional. The windows look terrific and really add to the house. The installers were careful not to make a mess and to clean up what little debris remained. The windows I just put in are, in my opinion, better than the Depot windows. The Vista installation (and Depot did not bother to explain the various options regarding how the windows will look after they are installed) looks nicer and more finished. What helped sell us on Vista was Phil and Olga's concern that our needs were met by their product and by their installers. The new windows look great and perform great. If asked I will recommend Vista in the future. It always pays to shop around and to be comfortable with your purchase. Be sure to visit their office/showroom and look at and feel what they sell. That's when I found Vista Windows. I had called several places for quotes but given that our project was small, it appeared that none were interested on jumping on this job. We had our windows changed out in our prior home, about 7yrs ago. by Vista Windows and Phillip did a great job so we figured we'd go back to him when we got our new house. He sold us on the new windows, he no longer manufactures them himself. One of the selling points was that other companies used wider trim around the windows and therefore gave the buyer a smaller window by a few inches and they made larger profits in the long run. DON'T be fooled...he does the same thing. I was disappointed by the finish of the product. We had to ask for a 45degree cut on the trim because it wasn't standard and that was after a long discussion. My prior windows kept the noise out really well, these windows are definitely not as good. There was an error on the style of one of our windows and Phillip was not willing to correct it. He also forgot a lock for my sliding glass door, which we agreed on, and he never came through. I do like the easy slide of the windows and sliding doors. The locks look pretty secure as well. We have dealt with many contractors on our last three homes and this time we used Vista windows. It was a change for us to deal with just a window and door company for this portion of our project instead of going with one contractor for everything. Granted you have to do more homework but it was totally worth it. Phillip knows his stuff and his team is clean, thorough and do great install work. The level of service and product this company provides is outstanding and they have a wider variety of windows to choose from than other companies we spoke with. The doors and windows are absolutely beautiful. They were put in less than a month ago, but we can definitely tell that the house is warmer. Our old windows were 23 years old & leaked a lot of cold air. Since this was the first time I've ever bought windows, I got five estimates for 12 new windows, which to me seems a little excessive but I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting a bad deal. I work in Monrovia and stopped by Vista windows one day because they were listed on Yelp. Olga met me at the door and took me on a quick tour around the shop, and we sat down and talked about having an estimate and pricing. Phil came out to the house the next week and also sat with me and showed me how the process worked. He had done another house in my neighborhood so we took a quick drive to take a look. This entire experience was fantastic. I was only able to afford to get the half of the windows done, but I am SO HAPPY. All of the work was completed in less than six hours, and they totally cleaned up everything.
