So good... I cry... Seriously, this is such a refreshing and delicious drink. The Vitacane 50/50 is literal perfection. You can taste both the fresh pressed raw sugarcane juice & the coconut juice underneath (duh, that's literally what it's made of lol), but my point is that neither overpowers the other and it's not diluted at all. I love the very generous portion of diced coconut meat too! Literally got this drink a couple days ago and i'm craving it again already. Get the 32oz, trust me! I'm so glad that there's a second location near my work! Although, due to the pandemic, I've been working remotely but anytime I'm in the office to pickup some things, I always make an effort to stop by to get my sugar cane fix! This location's esthetic and cleanliness is very impressive! Staff was super friendly and drinks were made less than 5 minutes to avoid contact. I've tried their stink bomb which contains durian and sugar cane. It's soo good! You can taste the durian and sugar cane but if you're not a durian fan, then maybe this drink isn't for you. I've also tried their fire dragon which contains purple dragon fruit, strawberry and sugarcane. Which is also good and I recommend! The drink is refreshing too which is a plus on a hot day or whenever you're craving for sugar cane. I have yet to try their açaí bowls but from the photos it looks super yummy, will probably try eventually. Also, don't forget to download the app Elephant Foot Stamp. I've been on the search for the best tasting acai bowl ever since I started eating healthier and have found myself having to drive all the way to West L.A. to find one that tasted good but it looks like that's not the case anymore. ;) Vita Cane is very much set up like a Yogurtland where you're able to build your own bowl and pick and choose what toppings you like. You first start off with the size of your bowl, the base, and then you finish up with toppings. While they have your more standard toppings like strawberries, bananas, peanut butter and granola to name a few, what really stood out to me were the different types of bases they offered. Not only were you able to get acai but you can also add dragon fruit, blue spirulina, matcha, conconut and even chia pudding! For someone that's indecisive and likes to dry different things, I appreciated them having so many options. I sampled a couple of them and fell in love with the chia pudding and blue spirulina so would recommend adding that! As for price, they charge $8 for a small and $10 for a regular which is a great deal considering you get UNLIMITED toppings. I split a regular bowl with my girlfriend and it was more than enough. Service was also really good and I loved how modern their interior decor was. All in all, it's a 5/5 in my book! The workers were kind and welcomed us in while also taking their time with our choices. I ordered the Small 12oz. at the register with the açaí, pitaya, and coconut bases, paid with a credit card, and made my way over to pick the toppings. Chose chocolate hazelnut chunks, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, dark chocolate brittle, coconut clusters, mochi, pistachios, orange blossom honey, and cashew butter. Felt quite safe as there were sneeze guards all around/between, and the personnel were helpful and practicing safe procedures such as wearing masks and gloves while slicing the fruits and placing them in the bowls. Went to order two acai bowls. One of the staff while putting the base into the smaller bowl dropped it and it hit the floor. Like SOP would be to acknowledge it and make a new one because, well it fell on the floor. Floor where your feet walk around. Nope, here she didn't acknowledge that it was dropped, instead went to the sink and wet some paper towels and wiped the bowl. Like first like if we didn't say anything would you have not said anything? And also it's like an open space, we all clearly saw it drop. When we asked for a new bowl she moved the contents to a new container, and said that though it dropped it didn't spill or was dirty. Like it's an open container, it wasn't sealed with a lid or anything. Like this ain't no 5 second rule here. This person was really insistent that it was clean but she would move it into a new container. Also wiping it water doesn't make it clean, do you wash your hands without soap and be like it's the same thing. I think the worst part is that when asking for toppings we asked for the kiwi, saw that there was a bug in it and was like no we don't want that. The staff, the older of the two(the one who insisted it wasn't dirty) like tossed it out and replaced it but did the tossing and cleaning of the container so loudly that it was clear she was upset, for whatever reason. Then had the gall to come out and say did you still want kiwi, like bro what kind of attitude is that. Makes it feel like we jumped over the counter and smacked the bowl out of her hands. Super disappointing - also it wasn't as if this was super busy or anything. Like this was a poor experience and we've been to vita cane before ( we usually go to the Rosemead one) so was just so unexpected. In hindsight should have just asked for a refund. Like if I went to chipotle and they wrapped the burrito and it fell on the floor before they gave it to you like imma say most folks would be like well I guess it's wrapped but on the inside they probably be I have to unwrap it with my hands and that means it would be dirty. Like im sure chipotle wouldn't even have the gall to serve the customer something like that. This ain't a wrapped bowl so like wth. I LOVE Vita Canes! I'm so happy that their Alhambra location finally opened! I suggest parking in the back parking structure so you can go through the back entrance. When you walk through from their back entrance you get to see a ton of amazing artwork that's just so beautiful! One drink I absolutely love is their Lemon Berry Berry. If you're a fan of blueberries definitely try this drink! It has fresh raw cane with lemon, blueberry, AND strawberry. My friend also ordered the strawberry peach blast which was also pretty good! Vita Canes also took COVID precautions. Their workers are wearing mask, hand sanitizer is provided near the cashier, and there are stickers on the floor marking 6ft apart. A friend had suggested this place and we decided to have a try. Located roughly on the NW corner of Main/Garfield, it's a nice place to get some summer refreshment. They offer a rather wide selection of fresh juice ( some with/without sugar cane juice) and acai bowls. Price point is about $8 - $11 per item. A small store but very cute in design, be sure to look for the California-shaped table in the middle of the store (you'll know once you see it). Employees were pretty friendly and welcoming and service was fast. We witnessed a constant stream of customers, so it seems that they have a loyal following. We had a hard time deciding which drink to share because they all seemed so good and refreshing - finally settled on the Mojito Orange Bang...which was delicious but I should have requested extra mint for an extra bang...next time! I love their açaí, even after they changed their blue spirulina to some coconut-like alternative. The granola is super yummy too, and all of the employees are lovely. The only reason why I'd give this place 3 stars instead of 5 is because of the manager's attitude. Every single time my boyfriend and I come in, without fail, we tip. Like clockwork. So you would think that my request for all strawberries wouldn't be met with hostility & attitude, as well as childish faces, right? Wrong. On multiple occasions, the manager has acted extremely rude to our request for more strawberries. They have a bar of a lot of fruit, but I don't want that? I simply want my strawberries and a little bit of blueberries, I'm paying for it, and I'm tipping every. Single. Time. What is the issue and why is there the constant need from her part, to give us an attitude and make ridiculous faces? I came to the Alhambra location with high expectations and ordered my usual Açaí bowl order - the fruit was very fresh and the bases were great, until I realized that they missed a chia seed base half way through. I've been here a couple of time now! The last time I was here, a customer was being very rude to the staff while they were making her juice. I commend them for keeping their composure while she was backseating and almost instructing them on how to do their job.. She seems like a regular, too. Staff remained polite! I've to their location in Little Tokyo as well. Drinks was good, fresh, concentrate, make when order and you can see they making drinks in their open space. The other day was a bad experience. I usually only get sugar cane with coconut water or just sugar cane itself. I got just sugar cane this time and my drink tasted diluted, watered down. I love sugar cane and been drinking it regularly at any place I could find include their locations, so I know this sugar cane drink must have mixed with water and sugar.
