REVIEW #1000! My…read moresiblings and I like to donate blood together, and so my brother and I decided to come here and give platelets. I had only donated with the Red Cross once back in college, so this was my first time doing platelets at a donation center. I didn't even know they had them, I thought they only did mobile drives. But it makes sense since platelet donations are only done at a center. It was easy to create an account and schedule an appointment online. I like that I could add my donor id to my phone wallet, since they ask for it at checkin and during the interview process. The center is easy to locate and parking was plentiful. We signed in at the front desk and got name tags, which was a thoughtful touch. We were told it would be a bit of a wait since they had a big rush of donors come in. We sat in the waiting area for 30 minutes until our names were called. The interview process went smoothly and I absolute love their hemoglobin tester! No finger pricks here and my level was healthy. I also like that they do a temperature check using a forehead thermometer, so there's no need to remove my mask. Sandy was funny and personable and I enjoyed having her throughout my donation process. She was attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, including a warmed blanket and tums for the tingling. The donation chairs each have their own tv screen and headphones, which is great because giving platelets here requires a needle in both arms, so you aren't free to use one to read a book or use a device. My donation took 116 minutes, so I watched a movie on Netflix to help the time pass by (though I could hear it fine, the volume level was not adjustable from the remote). Tori helped me when I finished and was great. They have a nice selection of snacks in the canteen area plus water and juices, so I enjoyed a tropical punch, cheezits, and some pretzels. The staff gave us a nice bag and these plastic popcorn containers as a gift for our first platelet donation with them, which was an unexpected surprise. Overall, it was a positive experience despite the wait time and two arm donation. The staff was great and helpful and I'm glad we were able to donate here! Go donate blood/platelets if you can :-)

Donating plasma. Most times you're waiting at least a half hour in line, sometimes longer. Not sure…read morehow it is during the day but after 4 they only have 3 people checking people in. Then at 4:30 it seems to go down to 2, at times there's only been 1, makes for a very long wait. Once you get checked in you go over to the waiting area to be called. One time there were 3 people called before me that had come after me. When I said something they claimed the time on their ticket was before mine. Not sure how that could be because they hadn't even been checked in yet and I had already been sitting in the waiting area. The website says expect to be there 2 hours for first time but it's really about 4, it's no less than 2 hours for repeat clients. Everyone has been really nice so far.

I'm leaning 4 outta 5 stars just because of the location and the element that goes in there. If I…read moreknew their names I would give shout outs but this is the best I can do. The really short Native American phlebotomist really cute she's super sweet and very nice, the management team are very nice as well, the Puerto Rican or Dominican phlebotomist that's very light skinned with the dark hair she's nice and sweet as well she always remembers I need something to squeeze before pumping, the black male I think he might e Puerto Rican as well always wearing nice shoes he's very nice also. Those are my top favorites, when doing vitals I gotta give a shot out to a few and unfortunately don't know their names which I need to start doing. The big guy he's super friendly and come to find out we have the same birthday and he calls me up by name, there's the older woman who is super duper sweet and once again I'm sorry I forgot her name but I love when I'm at her booth. Just an all out friendly facility, I use to donate at CSL Plasma and they took away platinum donors getting express passes so and their staff are always either mad or tired. Keep up the great work Octapharma!!!

That's what card our attention and we've never donated plasma before. After seeing the excitement of the gentlemen, we figured this would be a great place to go for the first time to donate our plasma After going inside, it was very clean very nice people and we look forward to going back to give our donation Thank you to the guy standing on the corner with that sign We will be using this place more often, as many times as I drove past this location I never knew it was there until today

I was wearing a crop top and was informed of this said dress code after entering Physical so no one in the front told me anything. No one doing my vitals told me anything and continued until the next process until I reach physical and then they had to tell me that they have a dress code and I cannot donate today unless I come back with a full shirt or the next day, which is ridiculous. This should've been told to me at the very front instead of wasting my time knowing that we're gonna deny me and I also implied I didn't want to waste my time in the beginning at the front. What a joke! SO LADIES IF YOUR WEARING A CROP TOP DON'T BOTHER SHOWING UP !

Great First-Time Donation Experience…read more I had a great experience donating blood here the other day. It was actually my first time ever donating, as my doctor recommended it since I'm on TRT therapy and needed to do a Power Red donation. I was definitely a little intimidated going in since I had never done it before. I had also read a few negative reviews online beforehand, which made me a bit skeptical, but I decided to go anyway. Before my appointment I called ahead with a few questions and spoke with a really helpful staff member who gave me great advice and helped ease some of my anxiety. When I arrived, the front desk team was very friendly and welcoming. They walked me through the process and made everything easy to understand. The nurse who set up my donation was knowledgeable, patient, and very kind throughout the whole experience. Since it was my first Power Red donation, I learned the machine can be a little tricky because it cycles your plasma back into the line, so you have to keep your arm positioned a certain way. The system gave a few warnings during the process, but the head nurse came over and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She stayed close by for much of the time to make sure everything went smoothly and that I was comfortable. The staff also checked on me multiple times and brought me snacks, including chocolate chip cookies, and set me up with my own tray and a bottle of water. It really felt like they cared about making sure donors were comfortable. It also wasn't overly crowded. I showed up around 10 AM and there were probably about ten people donating, but by the time I was halfway through my donation it had quieted down quite a bit and I had plenty of space. The chair itself was very comfortable. After finishing, I was able to relax in the recovery area and help myself to some snacks (the popcorn was great!). As an added bonus, I even received a free ticket to the Renaissance Festival for donating that day. Overall it was a very positive experience and the staff did a wonderful job helping a first-time donor feel comfortable and supported. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to donate blood.

I've been here a few times now and have had mixed experiences. I wasn't able to donate on two occasions because of a slight fever and low iron, but that's not their fault! I've donated successfully a few times and it's been a smooth process each time. The phlebotomists are professional and friendly and I personally haven't had issues with the needle stick and draw. Lots of snacks and drinks available, nice receptionist at the front, and spacious location. I recommend donating at a Vitalant near you and helping others!
