That was awesome customer service to me. So as I went inside to pay, he told me $10. In my mind,"I'm like seriously for this heavy sandwich I thought it would be at least $12. I cut into it right after I brought it home. It also tasted stale. I ended up throwing it away too. Broccoli Rabe roll was a tad better. It wasn't hard as a rock. But it wasn't fresh either. It tasted meh. The only thing I was happy with are the prepackaged taralli. They were imported and were lovely. Go there for the prepackaged imported food products. Don't waste your money on the dicey homemade food experience.

You walk in, you walk out 100$ in the hole with a couple of things in your hand . But those items that you walk out with brings you to a time and place of early child hood memories where life was great, not a care in the world your parents are home surrounded by loved ones and that is worth more in my books . Some of the items I bought was the prosciutto which was buttery and soft nothing like the hard salty stuff you get from a supermarket, I bought the long hot peppers stuffed with cheese and soppressata which were to die for, but has a kick to it so becareful if you don't like spicy food. This place has the best baked breads fresh like no one's business, they have all the cold cuts you can dream about and fresh mozzarella. My husbands favorite item is the sausage and cheese roll which was huge and delicious. I treat myself to this place whenever I'm feeling fancy. This place is a must try . Parking is a problem but if there's a will there's a way to get there. This place is family owned by 2 brothers and the love shows in the food. Forget Olive Garden because when you are at this place you're family. Part 2 went in a second time noticed the person cutting up the prosciutto is adding extra paper then weighing it then wrapping it up in heavier paper then taking the final weight at 30$ a pound . Very disappointed but I felt like I was being taken advantage of a bit. Even though I asked him to not add papers as I was going to use the prosciutto right away. read more

After 20 years in Florida, coming back to New Jersey has been a mix of cold weather, traffic, and a lot of shoveling snow. But one thing that stood out was Vitamia & Sons Ravioli Deli in Lodi. On Christmas Eve, I showed up early to beat the line and was greeted by a nostalgic, hunger-inducing atmosphere. The place was packed, but the display case full of chicken marsala, eggplant rollatini, sausage breads, stuffed mushrooms, and fresh bread was irresistible. The owners son, I suspect (about 35 years old) was incredibly passionate about his food and family. He made a point to tell me how important it is for families to look forward to sharing a meal together, which really struck a chord with me. He even showed me the slicer behind the counter--a classic piece of machinery, older than him, still in perfect condition. I grabbed four boxes of raviolis and a sausage bread for my mom. The experience was unforgettable, and I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend Vitamia & Sons for anyone craving fresh, family-focused Italian food. read more
