The Detroiter and Bee Sting were both delicious, but I preferred the Detroiter more (I love meat!). You can tell the ingredients were fresh. Definitely give them a try if you're looking for this style of pizza. Carry out only!

This one was pretty good, but I do have a quibble; the crust was much denser than Detroit style crust usually is. The height of the pizza was about 2/3 of the usual height of a light and airy but thick Detroit style crust, so I am not sure if this dough just didn't rise properly or if PM does their crust differently. I don't personally care for heavy thick crust so this isn't a deviation I particularly care for. That said, I did like the robust sauce and the cheese, toppings were sufficient though not exceptionally generously applied. I recommend getting hot honey on the side if you want that, it was less noticeable pre-applied, though I could taste it a little. The pop up is colocated with Corned Beef King and there is a picnic table for when the weather is good but it is primarily takeout. Food was ready ontime so I was in and out super quickly. If you don't mind a heavier crust you should give them a try. I'll probably be back when hubs wants a Detroit style and we don't have time to drive to Frederick where the best one I've found in MD can be had, but tbh just one slice sat like a brick in my tummy.

I first met Dominique Tolbert, the head of TLBRT Hospitality, at a networking event a few months…read moreago. She shared with me her passion for cooking, culture, and hosting. Fast forward some weeks and I had the pleasure of enjoying a private catered event that she hosted, and it was awesome! Here are a few highlights: -Coffee rubbed lamb chops: Have you ever had a dish that catches you by surprise and makes you want to ravenously jump in for more, only for you to then remember that you should keep your couth about you and slowly enjoy the dish? Well, that's how I felt about these lamb chops. -Peanut pepper beef: I've had beef with peanut sauce, and I've had pepper beef, but I'm quite certain I had never tried this particular combination. The beef was tender and just slightly spicy and balanced well with the more muted peanut sauce. Which, by the way, wasn't that "Oh, this is like a jar of peanuts mashed up" type of peanut sauce. It was smooth, creamy, and not overpowering. Mmm good! -Yucca con mojo: I was thrilled that the yucca was neither the really soft nor the extremely hardy yucca that you find sometimes. Instead, it had a great flaky inside with an exterior that gave just the right amount of crunch. -Coconut panna cotta with spiced mango: First things first, I am reeeeallly not a coconut fan. That's why I was so impressed that this panna cotta didn't have a strong taste of coconut and that it played so nicely with the spiced mango. I had two *cough maybe three cough* of these and could have easily eaten another. -Rum cake: At the risk of being loquacious, I'll just say the rum cake was the bomb! In addition to preparing excellent dishes that suit every palate while paying homage to diverse Afro-Caribbean and Latin influences, Dominque truly makes you feel like a valued guest at her events. From the moment I walked in the door, she greeted me with a smile, and she guided us through the evening with professionalism and class. Toward the end of the evening, I had the chance to see photos from events that she's hosted in LA, New York, and (if I remember correctly) Ghana! Before I forget, definitely get some of her Better Than Old Bay seasoning. I was hesitant at first because I associate Old Bay with seafood, which I'm allergic to, but it works great on poultry and sweet potato fries (why yes, I did make chicken and sweet potato fries last night). You should definitely have Dominique cater your next event!

I enjoyed a private meal which included some truly stunning food - jerk pork, veggie lasagna, Brussels sprouts from heaven. I can't wait for my next TLBRT Hospitality experience!!!

I had the pleasure of stumbling across this business looking for Caribbean spots that were close…read more I'll try anything once! I'm so happy I did because if I could describe the overall taste and quality, it's "the cousin who cooks family dinner with the flavor of our Auntie's, but the technique and health-consciousness of a well trained chef" kind of deal lol. Everything was so delicious! I had the green beans , mashed potato, candied yams, and jerk lamb meatloaf. So you're aware, the food is made to order so it's perfect when you're planning ahead for lunch or dinner. They also deliver! (Ask for details dep. on your area). The chef was so, so nice! It's an honor to support her business! All of the vegetables tasted like they were farm-fresh--nothing was frozen! The green beans were expertly cooked with fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions. The best green beans ever! I would love to get these again! The mashed potatoes were so creamy and the yams were nice and sweet, but not too, too sweet. They were perfectly balanced and had the best texture! The meatloaf was made with all of the love in the world! Now, since it has lamb, the flavor is very, very prominent. I'm not really a big meat person but this was a cool touch, and I'll try anything once! If you're a huge fan of lamb, I recommend it. I loved how there was gravy at the bottom and the traditional tomato based topping on top! I shared with my brother when he came to visit, he tore it all up! Lol. I would definitely order from Auntie's again. I saw that a friend follows the chef on social media and she absolutely loves Auntie's, too! Shame on me for putting this delicious food on a paper plate, but last night I had come home from dance class and had to eat immediately lol.
