Service was good, no wait time. Sat outside on this beautiful summer day which was comfortable. Came for breakfast and food was good.

Mexican Street Salad
Jeff B.

Came back for lunch today. Got a bowl of tomato soup that I shared with my partner. They say it's made from scratch every day. The soup is very good. There is a rich tomato taste and the purée has a crushed tomato texture (as opposed to it being a "flat" soup). It's hard for me to describe, but it's really good soup. It is a bit salty, though. My partner had the Mexican Street Salad, with a nice portion of properly prepared (asked for medium rare, and it was) carne asada. I had the Szechuan Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries. It was excellent. An Asian flair, with a good amount of heat (but not overpowering). The heat was countered by the crisp Cole slaw and pickle slices in the sandwich. Everything complemented everything else. The chicken (fried) was a very nice size breast. Even the fries were good and not overly salted. The service was hit and miss. When we were done with our soup appetizer, the empty bowl sat on the table till the check came. Our water glasses were empty a couple of times. The service was the weak point the last time we were here, although this was a step up from last time. The food here is very good and we'll be back. I just wish they could figure out a way to provide good service consistently.

Hand battered chicken nuggets, truffle fries with ketchup and cilantro lime ranch.

The Happy Hour Meal is the perfect snack before going to see a movie. This month it was hand-battered chicken nuggets, truffle fries with ketchup and cilantro lime dips. The meal arrived quick and the chicken had a perfectly crispy outer shell that reminded me of fish and chips. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with only a hint of truffle. Overall a great meal and quick service on a Wednesday evening.

Sad, seaweed salad soaked soba noodles. DO NOT GET IT.

I've dined here several times over the years because friends request it. I have enjoyed the foods none of those times. I've gotten something different every time hoping to maybe strike gold but no dice. Last time I got the shiitake hash for takeaway. It was awful. The potatoes and mushrooms were both hard and cold. The egg on top was overcooked. Hollandaise sauce, which I normally omit, made it barely edible. Yesterday, I went with some friends and got an ahi tuna noodles dish. It was disgusting. I like seaweed salad but this thing was drenched in it. I couldn't take a bite without seaweed salad soaked soba noodles. There was a miniscule amount of tuna on top that was chewy. If you're forced to dine here, get something fried. The fried pickles were good. It's hard to screw that up. Service was fine and I like that they're flexible with splitting bills. Honestly if someone suggests coming here, suggest somewhere else.

truffle mac and cheese

went to this place for a quick meal last night, burger was dry :( the truffle mac and cheese bites weren't bad to me; I personally enjoyed them. The bourbon smash tasted like just maple and liquor mixed together, and the blueberry mule was okay... not my favorite drink. The server didn't ask us how we wanted our burgers cooked so it arrived well done (maybe our fault for not double checking or letting our server know)

Big Mark platter, side of Tillamook Cheddar Grits, and strawberry Ted's Tart

We wanted to get out of the area and venture out to here for brunch. We arrived at 1pm thinking our reservation was here, but it wasn't when confirmed oops my bad. Anyway, the check in was accommodating and we were seated in less than 5 minutes, a win! The restaurant was packed but ordered were pushing and good vibes and music as well. We ordered crab cake Benedict with hash browns, side of cheddar grits, side chicken sausage links, the bug Mark, and two green juice with turmeric and ginger. Oh forgot, we tried the tart which is childhood play on pop tarts. Everything was delicious except the tarts. The strawberry was better than blueberry, which I will rate them 2.5/5. The juice was good and refreshing and helps clean the palate for the meal. Everything tasted fresh and good quality. They were plentiful and you will wobble out the restaurant.

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant specifically for my husband's birthday. I made reservations at least a week or two in advance and made sure to put in the comments that it was for my husband's birthday and could they please do something. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived. I ordered the Cherry Blossom latte which was really good! My son loved his matcha also! I ordered the Street Taco Salad. I asked for the carne asada to be cooked medium well. Unfortunately, the meat was inedible. I had to leave it. The rest of the salad was pretty good but not worth the price if the meat isn't edible. My son loved his TUBS combo and the brisket grilled cheese and tomato soup. My husband enjoyed his pancake combo! We had one waiter when we started but then another one took over. No big deal BUT.... I asked for the check, thinking, he might get the hint about the birthday but instead I had to ask if they were going to do something. Then, my husband was like no, don't. But, I let him know that it was put in the comments weeks ago. The waiter brought out one of their pop tarts with a candle. It was nice but not a great save for something that was so important.

Always a great place for family time. Breakfast served all day. My little one ordered the kids breakfast for dinner. And pancake came out as the cutest reindeer pancake. Totally made the special family dinner out. Loaded tots were great and crunchy not soggy! We tried the Bavarian pretzels the first time. They were not bad especially if you dipped into the cheese or my tomato soup. Overall a good time and you never know when you'll run into friends at Ted's!

Short Rib Stroganoff, Home Style Meatloaf, Mojito and Espresso Martini
Savannah M.

Writing this review is making me hungry. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was classy, relaxed, and fun. I might even order the same exact meal next time I visit; it was tasty enough that I want it again. I did taste the homestyle meatloaf too, though, and it was the first meatloaf I've ever liked. Delicious. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Happy hour meal

Went for the happy hour meal. Great deal for $9.99, the Chicken and fries were well fried and the sauce was delicious. The staff at the bar right when you walk in are friendly. Didn't go past the front door but the decor seemed cute.

Service is extremely slow. We waited almost 10min from the time we were seated until our waitress came over. The place was not that busy for the amount of time we were waiting

T.U.B.S (Ted's Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich) bacon missing!
MJ C.

On 2/21/26, my order was missing the gravy for the mashed potatoes and today, 3/9/26, the bacon was missing from the T.U.B.S (Ted's Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich). Both were take out orders. They need to do a better job in checking their orders.

Raspberry Tart
Mark M.

We visited on a Thursday evening. It was not crowded on the restaurant side. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and taken to our table. Our server did a great job throughout our visit. We started with the jalapeno wontons and those were great. I had the sea bass and that was good as well. My wife had the steak frites and she really enjoyed her dinner. We finished with a little raspberry tart. Not too sweet or heavy, so it was a good ending. They may be known for their breakfast, but their dinners are pretty good, too. The atmosphere gave more of a nice dinner date out than a breakfast place vibe. We enjoyed everything.

I have to say, though busy, the service didn't miss a beat. Jenn - our server - was attentive/kind and fun. I got the filet mignon with the compound butter and my homie got some BBRibs to complement the aforementioned cornbread. The food came out fast and we got to eating. As always with every time I've been here, it slapped. Sides were solid, the steak was cooked to perfection and them ribs were disappearing off the plate! Good times. We followed up our entrees with a solid - and I mean solid - bread pudding. Jeez, this thing is decadent, but we got after it. Jenn brought us a scoop of ice cream and we went to town! Delicious. If you've got a sweet tooth, do yourself a favor and grab the Bread Pudding. It was soft, pillowy, but sweet (not overly sweet) and filling. As for ambiance, again, we were kickin it patio side and could see the water just fine. Honestly, this was a dope backdrop for our super deep convo on Frank Ocean vs. Frankie Beverley. Before I let you go, check'em out some time. You'll enjoy it. Or do you not think so far ahead?

What a cool, fun place to dine…read more Cooper Canyon offers a varied array of dishes in a comfortable and open dining environment. Ava took care of us and she was simply amazing from her demeanor and kindness to her stellar recommendations. We began with their extremely fresh spinach dip that included salsa and sour cream. My girlfriend ordered the massive, warm, and yummy cornbread skillet as well as their Fiesta Eggrolls. I am not an eggroll fan but these were the best I have ever had. Absolutely fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I had the rainbow trout with spinach and mashed potatoes. The fish was fresh, light, and tasty. The trout itself was a very generous portion. For dessert, we dove into their Chocolate Uprising: Sort of like a ice cream sandwich on steroids with heavy cream and a chocolate and caramel base. It was fantastic and insane and we just couldn't finish it! I cannot remember having caramel that good (not sweet but rich). The staff is excellent. They work so well in concert from running food to clearing dishes. The bartenders are outstanding. I had a perfect Hendrick's Gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and my girlfriend loved her Malibu Bay Breeze. We look forward to returning -- and we'll start with the Chocolate Uprising and go from there!

This place is hoppin'! Whenever Yelp asks me if a place is hip, I never know what to say -- until…read morenow! This place is definitely hip! What a vibe! So cool, fun, nice décor, super-helpful and responsive staff, lots of people eating outside and inside, and quite a selection of foods and beverages with lots of room for personalization. We came here because they have lots of vegetarian things and are known to be accommodating of requests regarding dietary needs and preferences -- what a relief from the get-go, even before arriving! Parking was easy but since I wanted to go to the bookstore afterwards, I parked near that, around the corner, and had a little amble along the road, looking at various shops and restaurants along the way, plus the greenery of the park .... I got the Avocado Tacos and asked what I could get instead of rice -- one option was the El Greco salad, so I got that. I felt a bit weird about it, though, until it was explained to me by our waitress that this wasn't just a Mexican place but rather a Mexican-Greek fusion! Oh, wow! Mind got a bit blown by that -- cool! Well, with that info., my mind relaxed ... and I awaited my meal. This is a good thing, but if you're in a hurry you might want to get something ready-made or more quick such as soup or salad that needs little to no preparation. For me, I'd rather wait! (I mean, whenever possible, that is.) So ... it was delicious! I was hungry. It was filling. The avocado was all very fresh, no yucky pieces, ha ha! Plenty of flavour, texture, colours, visual and all kinds of other appeal for the tongue. My two corn tacos under each heap of goodness did fuse together -- presumably from the moisture of all that lay on top of them -- so I could not separate them as I usually do, but the truth is that it ended up being so much food, I didn't even finish my tortillas, anyway. The tempura tacos (Aha Baja) have warm and crispy pieces that are not too big -- and that reduces the potential of a too-greasy feel. In a word, good! Or just plain 'Mmm!' The Roasted Potatoes are absolutely delicious! The Black Beans are totally tasty! The amount of desserts is incredible -- and all are house-made, wow! I could not believe how long the list was! Oh, yeah, and the appetizer of chips and salsa was crispy and yummy. The guacamole is creamy and has a hint of spice that varies by bite .... The food was all great, and so was the rich Lemon and Ginger tea was incredibly good! It looked and felt rich and thick -- such a surprise! I enjoyed it immensely. I was also offered honey, sugar, and milk to go with it if I wanted, and found out that the owner is a tea aficionado and that's why their teas are so good! If you don't like noisy environments, you might want to avoid the busier times (such as weekends) or eat outside, weather permitting. This is such a one-of-a-kind-place -- not to be missed! Yay! :-D

Solid 4.5/5 This…read moreplace is located in a high-end residential community in Gaithersburg, not far from Rockville, MD. There are lots of street parking but not a dedicated one in front of the store. However, when I went for a happy hour, I had no trouble getting a spot. As you step in, you realize how tiny this place is but don't let that fool you, it's still an outstanding choice if you're in the area. As a vegetarian, I wasn't disappointed with their selections. They had quesadillas, yuca fries, bowls and salads, and tacos options for me. I went with the inspiration and avocado tacos, with the side of quesadillas and yuca fries. I thought that perhaps the side quantities might be small but once the food came, I realized I may have ordered a lot. The quesadillas and yuca fries were good, nothing special, but not bad at all. The winner for me were the two vegetarian tacos. Both had distinct but very mouth watering flavors in them. I was bummed out that none of them were that spicy, but the unique flavor profile on both more than overcame the lack of spiciness. I enjoyed my meal because I was well taken care by the serving staff. They were attentive, welcoming, and friendly. I didn't feel that they didn't have time for us as that can happen in the happy hour rush usually. Both my friend and I concluded that this is a place to come back to in the near future. One suggestion would be to also have a vegetarian option in the "Legacy Corner" or sandwich section but otherwise I enjoyed the variety. Lastly, I was slightly disappointed with the Daddy Guac and the chips we got with them. The guac size could have been bigger but more importantly is that the chips were too thin that they kept breaking apart trying to scoop up the guac. Overall, I would come back again. Next time, I'll try to have a drink or so to see if they have knocked it out on that side as well.

The patio is empty but every table has very clearly been dirty and left for an indiscernible amount of time. The inside also has tables scattered all over that need to be clear but have been sitting for who knows how long. There's maybe 6-8 people TOPS between the 2 tables inside and a couple people at the register,in the whole place. I go to the front, the woman asks if we need a table, I said yes and we would like to sit on the patio. She tells me it's going to be 15-20min. I let her know there's nobody currently on the patio and tables are open. She tells me that not for a wait, that's how long it will take TO CLEAR A TABLE--15-20min to clear and reset a single booth on the patio. Keep in mind, places like Guapos down the way, that are packed to the brim, have 25min wait if you Specifically want patio seating but that's because it's literally full and the inside has a 10-15min wait because it too, is literally full but here we are, in a place that was probably busy 40+ minutes ago, now with just over a half dozen humans in the building, tell me it's gonna take 15+ minutes to walk over with a bus tub, throw everything in, wipe a table and wipe the seats...on a party of 2. I had even offered to clear my own table (hell, I'd have cleared one for the other couple, too) and was told "it's necessary to wait 15-20min" I glance over at the waiting area and there's a single 2 top who I assume was also just told the same thing and they look to be debating on just leaving. We start debating on leaving. I watch the host go back to standing at the podium, no guests in line, she's not getting anyone to clear anything and again, that's abundantly clear that nobody has been clearing tables for at least 30+ minutes, she's not personally going to start helping clear which is standard in restaurants when there's no rush at the door. We decide this is a sh*t show and leave. This is also right up there with 2x I've ordered for pickup, waited the 30-60min, come to pick it up and not a single aspect of the order was done....why?....im told "we ran out of chicken"--no call to see about changing the order or cancelling, nothing. We enjoy nandos food. That isn't the issue at all. The service has gone WAY downhill over the past few years. As someone in the industry, currently in a 1Star fine dining venue in DC, and someone attempting to be a patron, it's disgusting to have a sea of tables left sitting for what is very clearly long periods of time. It's ridiculous that it would take anyone 15+ minutes to clear people's trash and wipe/reset a single table--that wouldn't be acceptable if it was slammed to the gills, so for the place to be empty as it was, it's either incompetence, laziness, lack of leadership leader or any/all of the 3. Extremely unimpressed and further reinforcing why I had avoided nandos since the 2 prior times, my orders were left for me to discover....a chicken place....had no chicken and let me come in at my pickup time to discover I have no food. Last night was my "give another shot" moment. I have literally overseen A "charity diner" comepltely run by kids 12-15 and with 30minutes training and the fact they've been out to eat with their parents, managed to run the diner for ~80 cover without a hiccup at the host stand or the entire FOH and BOH. So why grown people in nandos struggle with this, is perplexing. I think places get way too comfortable resting on their name recognition and in trade, throw anything resembling service out the window. I expect that from monopolistic mega-corporations and banks not a restaurant. The economy is bad, times are weird, people are choosing how to spend their finite time and dollars--if you can't clear the most basic bar that anyone from French Laundry to Waffle House or the random roadside diner all clear, you are failing and need to do better.
