Was heavily craving Birria & this place was a godsend. The best Birria I have had in such a long time. The Horchata was great and the service was amazing!! Will definitely be my go to for Birria when I'm in the area!!

Food was pretty decent, some items like chicken were finished by the time we got there, I found the chorizo quesadilla much tastier than the birrias tacos, but then Im more into quesadillas than tacos

Part I: The Food Truck...stopped here as few months ago when looking for a taco vendor to hire for a backyard party. The staff is friendly. The truck was the nicest on this "Food Truck Block". Everything was amazing & with all fresh ingredients. The tacos ( chicken, or beef, or chorizo), Quesobirrias ( cheesy tacos with a beef broth dipping sauce), and Mulitas ( taco ingredients place between 2 tortillas and fried. All 3 were crispy and perfect. Best tacos ever!!! All the add-ons were extremely fresh too: spicy pickled onions, shopped raw onions, cilantro, spicy creamy pepper sauce. So after this "taste test" on a Sunday morning, we decided to hire Viva Birria NJ for a backyard party we were having in May. Part II: The Party Tent...So, they set up a tent in the driveway. Donovan and his assistant were awesome! Totally prepared; super friendly; The food smelled and tasted so good. Everyone loved it. We had tacos & queso birria tacos and also added Mexican Street Corn ( in a cup). They grilled all the fresh corn, seasoned it, shaved it off the cob and had a big hot pot of it to make individual portions in cups. Plenty of fresh queso fresca was there to use as well. Best of all, Donovan gave us everything that wasn't eaten so we had plenty of tacos for days! First one here! Was in the area so swung by the truck and met the owner Steven. Great guy and he gave me a little background about the business. I ordered the Quesa Birria meal for $18. Came with 4 tacos, consomme, a soda and the fixins'. Food came out hot and was able to eat at one of the table set up by the truck. Loaded the tacos with the fixins'. Make sure you get use the Habanero/Pickled onion mix. This was really good. Everything else was really fresh also, including the cilantro, limes and homemade hot sauce. Anyway, got my taco all dressed up for the first dip into the consomme and had an immediate smile on my face. What a bite! A bit messy (as we know Birria can be) but so delicious. Will definitely be back with the family. Lots of parking nearby so easy to visit any time they are open. read more

This last visit, I bought a gyulai $16, Cseresz kolbasz $8, and a container of prune and apricot jam, $4.75 each. It's difficult to find Hungarian products in Northern New Jersey let alone at reasonable prices and at this quality level. I must add that their apricot jam has the right texture, no added sugar however the sweetness of the fruit remains. I love it. They also offer torta, punies, kremes/sampit, spices and seasonal candies.
