I walked into Amy's Nail Spa around 12pm on a Saturday. The parking lot was empty except for one car. I walked in and there were only 2 customers. I requested for a gel pedicure however they said they did not have time and basically told me to leave. As a nail salon, if you have 5 pedicure chairs, 3 manicure chairs, but only 3 employees and 2 customers, you must be doing something wrong. No hate to the ladies they were polite however, I expect to get a service done when there is a big sign that says walk ins welcome. read more

Service received: a fill with gel polish and a gel pedicure I had high hopes for this place since 2 friends recommended it to me but I ended up extremely disappointed. Two different people did my hands & feet and they both came out a mess. They both took their time on cleaning/prep and shape but the paint job was terrible on both my hands and feet. The top coat spread weird and is somehow bubbled? I brought it to their attention but they seemed to not really care and told me to come back the next day since I didn't have time then. They offered to put another top coat on but I'd rather not waste time & gas. I really didn't want to write a bad review, but I'm still in disbelief. I called for a gel x removal & gel manicure. They said they can do that & she tells me to come in at 6:30. Then she calls me at 6:15 asking me if I'm still coming. I said yes! At 6:30. She said no I told you 6:15 and I firmly corrected her & she laughed and said ok. When I went in, it was clear they do not know how to remove Gel x (which is fine but they could have just said that). They first tried to yank the gel x nails off my bare nails and when I said something, one of them looked at me like "why are you telling me how to do my job" and continued to yank on these tips with pliers. They also filed my nails til they are transparent and so flimsy... no acetone which is how Gel X is usually removed. They didn't have the brown shade that I wanted and tried to force me into other colors despite me declining politely. They then asked why I wanted that specific shade and told me it never looks like it does out of the bottle (???). Then when I said I can leave after the removal they upped the price on me. At this point I was scared and uncomfortable and really just wanted to leave. I could feel the breeze on my nail beds because of how thin they were and was pretty sure one was about to bleed. Of the two ladies there, one was rude, manipulative, forceful, condescending, and pushy. The other was very sweet and understanding and for her, I still tipped. I went to another nail place right after and they STILL charged me full price for removal, as this place did not do an adequate job. I hope this business ups their service. Transparency with their skills and being professional with customers can get them to be a decent nail spot for basic needs at a reasonable price. As is, I would not go back again. Now just the wait for my paper thin nails to go back to normal. read more

What can I say? I love the ladies here! Amy (owner) is super talented and my go-to person is Lan (aka Cindy). She does the best pedicure EVER, hands down!!! My pedicure will last up to 4 weeks. Her manicure is good, not great. Diana is super talented for artistic designs for manicure. Mai is also great for gel/acrylic manicure. Other ladies are super nice but I haven't really gotten mani/pedi from them. I know that all the ladies take their time with mani/pedi. They do not rush which is awesome! The reason why I'm giving a three star is because I had an appointment at 11, and they were all busy working with other customers so I waited about 20-25 mins to get started on my pedi. I've been coming here for years and this review is long overdue. After 4 months off, this salon has transformed and is strictly adhering to safety measures. They are taking this VERY seriously to ensure the health, safety and comfort of their workers and patrons. First, the entry is blocked by a chair with a sign in sheet, with the standard acknowledgment of Covid 19, precautions etc. You must use the hand sanitizer right at the entry before you are allowed in. Then you go through a temperature check with a scan. They have jars for unused pens and used pens. My pen didn't work and I accidentally tried to put back in the jar to reach for a new one and Amy quickly stopped me, no no, and grabbed the used jar. I think I just couldn't figure how to turn open the first pen I grabbed. The mani stations are now, appears even more than 6 ft apart. The pedi spas used to be 5 but now just 3, spaced surely 6' or more apart. All stations have plexiglass separation screens. When I heard spas open 7/13, I called last Thursday and shocked that they answered. Lucky me I got a 10am on 7/13 for a much overdue pedi. Of course, proceeded to get the EXCELLENT service as usual, trim, cuticle and dead skin clean up, moisture wrap, foot and calf massage, polish. Cindy, thank you for cleaning up and restoring my feet. She's truly the best, takes her time, really detailed with getting into all the areas and the massage....it's not a light sweep over. Soooo soothing and it's a deep tissue one. If you are not into deep tissue let her know. As she will work into the tightness and tension. Heaven! Ahhhhh... I am no longer ashamed to show my feet in public and can wear my flip flops again in this amazing summer weather! I'd give 6 stars if I could! read more

Call this place and made an appointment once I arrived for my appointment they looked at me as if I wasn't supposed to be there. I then told them I set an appointment for a pedicure and a manicure. Once I was seated she filled up the water without soap or anything just plain Luke warm water and begin to do my feet. I then asked her to add some soap for my feet so she added a little after my feet was completed my feet still looks crusty and I was unhappy about that and then she began to do my nails while she was doing my nails I thought the shape was beautiful later as I looked at the shape they're uneven. When I first walked in I did feel like she was a bit rude but later she was nicer. I think this place is an okay place to go if you have time to waste. Took around 2 1/2 hours for this.... Update: Just called to have them fix the issue. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!! read more

first of all, love love love the work these ladies do. i've never been disappointed walking out of this nail spa. second, super good priced. never paid more than $55 for a set. my only issue with this place is that it seems like they're a little cold, to me specifically. i've been going here about 5/6 months and i've never felt welcomed coming inside. it was definitely weird the way they would talk to other customers vs. how they would talk to me. also, i'd feel rushed walking out. The last time i got a set, i was trying to tip the woman who did my nails, but she was telling me to leave, saying "you can go. you can leave. go on". i felt super disrespected. all that aside, i'm giving 2 stars because the sets were always perfect, but the fact that i never felt welcomed is what takes 3 stars because i think it's important to make your customers feel welcomed or at least be nice/decent to them. i won't be coming back here unfortunately. read more

5 stars for the nails, 1 Star for the price She finessed me. Borderline stole from me. I went in for a fill on my acrylics, didn't want Gel or shellac, i told her repeatedly and she would not stop. I said no at least 4-5 times, then she started putting it on my nails and said "which one you like?" I selected which one because, i thought it was included in the price I wanted and she would know what I wanted after me telling her five times what i did want. She did the fill and she put one coat of gel, no base coat or anything, just straight shellac polish and one shiny coat of the top and said it was $30 HOLD UP!!!! The board for just a fill for acrylics is $15, Just for a gel fill was $20 NOW, tell me where the $30 came from? I asked her why is it $30 shouldn't it be at most $20? She said it was because of the shellac. It was the shellac I told her at least five times that I did not want! MIND YOU, The original pair of a acrylics I have on did not even cost $30!!! Tell me now, was it worth the $30 for this basic as* fill? NO. This place is not the nicest salon I've been to, the prices are cheap but they sucker you into something that you don't want and make you pay for it. If you decide to come in, make sure you ask how much everything is going to cost so you're not surprised that it's double the price than what you thought. This review should really be 4.5 stars, but no half star system on Yelp. Overall, Amy's Nail Spa is going to be my go-to nail salon and they do excellent work for a reasonable price. 5 star work: Diana is AMAZING at nail art! Although my design wasn't particularly complicated, she helped me choose the exact colors I wanted, filed my nails into the shape I asked for, and completed the art work exactly like the picture I showed her. She even told me that she loves doing nail designs, so from that, you can tell that she takes the utmost pride in her work. I made an appointment a couple days before for a regular mani/pedi and didn't have to wait when I arrived. They have a great color selection for regular and shellac colors. My nails have held up for about 6 days now. They are slightly chipped, but I think that's my own fault because I had to shower and get ready after my manicure, so that likely wore down the polish a little. However, they still look pretty perfect from a regular viewing distance. I paid $35 + tip for the mani/pedi with nail art, which is very reasonable. 4 star work: There are a couple of things that I think can be improved. I wished they gave longer foot massages during their pedicures and gave hand massages during their manicures. 3 star work: I also went there earlier this month to get my shellac manicure removed. Although they did it correctly by using the foils, I didn't like how they used an emery board to remove the shattered pieces of polish off my nails. It was like they filed it off and it left abrasive marks on my nails, which I really didn't like. They should use an orange stick instead to "peel" off the pieces - I think this would leave the nail surface looking much smoother. The technician did buff my nails after the emery board, but even a month later, my nail surface still looks rough without polish and it probably won't go away until it full grows out. However, this may not be a problem for people who get back to back manis. read more

I've made numerous nail techs repaint the white lines on my pedicure if they are not even and perfect. I also watch them meticulously to see if they are working on all my toe funk and cuticles.
