I called Loyal Electric, who had one five-star review in Yelp, because their office is right down the street from where I live in Felton. Their electricians happened to be in the office at that moment, doing some paperwork. between appointments. They finished up their paperwork quickly so they could come to my house within the hour and fix my problem before taking off for their next scheduled appointment. Right ON!! The electricians identified my problem as a failing circuit breaker that had started providing only 30-something volts to a range that wanted a full 220 volts. (30 volts was enough to power the clock, light, and timer, but NOT the oven or range.) I have a very old circuit breaker panel, they told me, and they happened to have a spare,compatible older circuit breaker in their truck, which they gave to me for FREE! They installed it, tested everything, and were in and out in a half hour, charging me only $80 for the service call! The electricians were clean and friendly and smart and efficient in addition to obviously being highly skilled. We are VERY LUCKY to have them located here in Felton! I can't say enough good things about them. If I could give them six stars, I would!

Rigo did a great job with the 3 things I had done: replacing an electrical panel, replacing 2 light fixtures, and installing a smoke alarm. He was on time, knowledgable, and efficient. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest option around but with something like this, quality and experience matters and they did a great job and handle permits and such. They did exactly what I asked them to do and were responsive over email and able to ask the exact questions they needed which made things seamless. This is not necessarily a bad thing but they could have probably done some kind of "walk through" around the place and found some additional work for me. Upselling is obviously not always a great practice but in my case, there were some things that I wish I had done and I think they could have suggested them and left it up to me to say yes/no to during the initial inspection. For example my kitchen could definitely use at least 1 additional outlet, I should have probably replaced a 3rd light, and so on. I do respect that they don't try to take you on a ride but since it is probably efficient to do things all at once, may have been helpful to discuss (this was also my bad for not noticing these things before). Rigo did a bunch of smaller things that made a big difference too like taking out the packaging for the lights and the old ones as well as the old electrical panel, clearly labeling all the switches very neatly which was not well done before, answering my questions and explaining things in a way that I (someone with little knowledge about most of this stuff) would understand.

Told us we wouldn't be charged for his time but we got a $400 bill for "diagnostics and troubleshooting." On top of this, communication was a mess. Manager called me at 6pm on a Friday and couldn't get two words together, not sure if he was high or just exhausted but it was a super unprofessional call and left me with more questions than answers. Finally got some clarity in an email, but jeez what a mess. Maybe their work quality is good, but I won't be sticking around to find out. I'll be working with someone who is more up front about their work, better at communicating, and doesn't charge so much.

I called Fisher and --actually-- got not a recorded menu but a real person who immediately put me on the booking list for that very day. John (Jonathan) was here in a few hours, went to the breaker box, sized up the situation quickly and definitively, and explained what needed to be done. He and Aaron were here early both days of work and installed a new breaker box and outside electrical panel very efficiently and neatly. John also advised me of options for the future if needed. They double-checked and tested everything, attended to every detail. The charges were very much reasonable for such extensive work. I can't praise Fisher Electric enough for their good work and service.
