I bought an 883 iron a few months back from Latus. They were perfect for me. Didn't pressure me to buy. answered all of my beginner goofy questions. and let me look at every bike i wanted to get. Plus i was a pain financially at the time. and they managed to get me on a bike. Now i go in and check out bike stuff, or look for parts. And they still answer my questions, and make sure i am set up. I recommend purchasing anything from them and visiting when you are out riding around! Only two reviews?! Definitely AVOID Latus. People need to know... I've been a long-time customer of Latus as it's the closest HD shop to me from SE Portland. Never, ever again. I do all my own work on my Harley, so I've been to the parts counter on numerous instances from 2008-2014. Unfortunately, I've been sold the wrong parts about 90% of the time. Even if you bring in a list of exact part numbers (which you have to do with these minimum wage idiots running the counter) they will still manage to jumble the numbers and sell the wrong part. It's amazing that with all the electronic parts catalogs and paper parts manuals at their disposal, they are still able to give you the wrong items so, so frequently. I fear for the people who actually bring their bikes in for service by the "technicians" at Latus. I would be concerned for my safety if I were you based on their ineptitude when it comes to parts. The employees at Latus are only good for selling overpriced t-shirts and HD garbage for your pets. That's it. Absolutely avoid Latus unless you need some kitchy overpriced trash with a logo. I've learned my lesson the hard way and hope to save you some time and headache. Order anywhere else online and get it shipped to your home. That's what I'm doing from now on. read more

Used there internet site and received all kinds of hassel. Payment accepted then out of the blue order canceled. No response from phone calls messages. Email for cancelation gives several reasons, when I checked my account all reasons given were not valid. I have made thousands of internet purchases with out issue until now. For a big name big ticket bike shop I was shocked at the lack of engagement shown by the staff. I bought a Softail Deluxe which was modestly priced because it was a new last year model. I did not have any experience riding so I had the bike delivered. The delivery arrived on time however the bike wouldn't even start so they hauled it off back to the Dealership. The second time I road it we discovered it had a huge shake in the rear-end which ended up being contributed to stretched out spokes that could not be tightened. After over two weeks the new wheel arrived and was installed but no one called me to let me know my bike was done. In fact I was told the part was not even in yet when I finally called to find out what was happening. After being told they were waiting on the new wheel, I went to the Dealership the next day to shop for some gear and stopped by Service. I was helped by another Employee who told me my bike was done. So basically the guy I spoke to blew me off and didn't even pull my service record before blowing smoke. As I was standing there a Tech came out of an office calling a Customer he just got off the phone with a stupid motherf@&$#%. I would venture this is the same guy who told me my wheel wasn't even in yet. In summary Harley has gambled their brand on Franchisees and Latus Owners/Operators are not the best. My experience was poor customer service, follow through, quality control and communication. Since there is a Dealer in Tigard and Salem I would say it is worth the extra few miles to feel like your choice to invest in a top end product was worth it. Latus should start selling Kawasaki or Yamaha for under 10K that way their customers service will match their price point. read more

While in Portland we decided to check out the local Harley shop. We are sure glad we did! If you're into the motorcycle scene, at all, you're probably aware that Harley Davidson does a great job of marketing to the post middle-age biker and sequined studded bling gear for the ladies who accompany them. If you've seen one Harley jacket, you've pretty much seen them all. We (my wife and myself) are not big fans of the stereotypical Harley gear. When we entered the store, we immediately noticed some "skate/surf" style motorcycle clothing. Exactly the kind we like but can never find. As I wandered over to the helmet section, I was so surprised to see the selection was a lot of retro style as well as Simpson and Scorpion style full face! So cool! Another aspect was this: At most Harley shops, the staff will hound the living hell out of you and follow you around the store. This didn't happen. They were helpful without being over baring. When we get hounded, my wife will ALWAYS walk right out the door! I grabbed a cool jacket and headed to the checkout. While there we met Lisa. We told her how much we appreciated the selection of more modern styling instead of the typical bling crap that makes people look ridiculous! She told us that she had only been there a short time but was the current buyer and she was so happy to hear our unsolicited feedback. She said she's been working hard to bring a more modern style to the store. Lisa, you have done a great job, so far! We will be back down soon in hopes to see even more of this style. May I suggest some Hybrid vests? Something like the Espinoza Baller vest (that style). I would've bought one immediately and I know my riding buddies would too! First, my wife went to purchase me a 2018 Street Glide for a surprise and the sales guys told her they were closing and she had a half hour to make up her mind since they were closing. She left and went to Paradise where they were happy to stay late and get the deal done. Second, my brother decides He wants to purchase a new 2018 Road Glide special so where do you think He went? Your correct He went to Paradise Harley. Lastly, I went to the small bike rally last night and when I went to purchase some new gloves I asked about a retired military discount. Guess what they told me? This location doesn't offer military discounts! Needless to say I didn't by the gloves. Wow maybe Latus should look into their customer service! 2 bikes plus accessories minus upwards of 56K loss to Paradise Harley Davidson. Time to rethink your model. So I had steering head bearings and races replaced, brake fluid flush, fork oil changed and a oil leak coming out of transmission where the clutch cable is. Found out had some bad bearings in transmission so had those replaced. All toll a little over $3100.00. Got the bike back had to call Merritt the service writer the mechanic didn't put the bolts on the right hand tailpipe. Was charged for the whole bolt kit. The old backing plate that the bolts screw into was still in the pipe bracket. Less than 200 miles on bike went on a 3200 mile trip. Got to Las Vegas and discover have an oil leak. Primary drain plug O-ring is torn and was able to turn plug about a 1/4 turn. Left hand passenger floor board was also loose. When got bike home changed all the oils Derby cover gasket was in backwards and had the bike up off the ground to clean it and the front tire doesn't spin around all that easy. The forks don't really fall away like they are supposed to. Like everything is to tight. I have a grease zerk on my steering head and no remanence of any grease being put in there. Also looked like I had drips of oil coming from where the shift shaft comes in behind the primary. ALL IN ALL I will never trust there work there. read more

I was in the store on Saturday and saw the Scorpion Exo Belfast helmet and really liked it. I should have bought it while I was there but went home to Salem without it. The next day I decided I couldn't live without it and called to see if I could order it instead of driving back in, Teah was very helpful and friendly. The helmet was delivered on Tuesday, and I couldn't be more pleased. She deserves a Christmas bonus! read more

Had some repair work done on my motorcycle over the winter and picked up bike in January. On the way home, noticed the the turn signal indicators were not functioning. Part of the repairs they did involved repainting the tank, which is where the indicators are located. They called the next day to see how everything was going and I mentioned that the turn indicators were no longer working. They said "no problem, bring the bike back in and we will take care of it". It was dead of winter and a very long drive as there are few Triumph dealerships available to do repairs, so I asked If I could wait a couple of months until the weather was a little warmer. They said "no problem, we will be happy to take care of it at your convenience." So I called back in April to get this addressed and they said that they no longer could do the repairs because they were no longer a triumph dealership. They suggested I go to a location in Beaverton. They said that they would take care of the cost of the repairs if it could be proven that they were no longer functioning as a result of the work they did. I was a little astounded by this, as a turn signal indicator issue, shouldn't be a big deal, and any dealership should be able to address this, and since they did the work, they should take care of the issue which was addressed, right after the bike had been picked up. Also the fact that I was now going to have to submit evidence that it was a result of their work was ridiculous in my opinion. They had to pull the indicators off of the tank in order to repaint the tank, so they did the reassembly. After going back and forth with them and the dealership they wanted to refer me to, I decided to pull off the indicator panel as the Beaverton dealership suggested, to see if there was any issues with the wires. Sure enough, the turn signal indicator wire was pinched and pulling on the bulb, so it had a bad connection. Once I made sure that the line was unobstructed and the connection was solid, it worked fine. The amount of work was minimal but it was very disappointing that Latus had decided to absolve themselves of any responsibility to get this corrected, and wanted me to prove it was their fault in order for them to address it. ALL indications were that it was a result of their work, but they were trying to save a buck. Hope that worked out for them, as I would never go back and would never recommend anyone to use them for service work as they wont stand by their work. Irritated me enough to write this post so others can be warned. read more

Service could easily have been so much better! Had a friend come from Spain and rent a Harley at this shop. We were told over phone they opened at 10, big group rode from Olympia 2.5hrs to be there when opened. Got there just before 10 to be told they do not open until 11. They made us wait until 11:03 before they came to rental counter to tell us the bike we rented was not there (wasn't returned) and that they had a different bike (lesser model) that we could take instead. Long story short, I understand you can not control the bike not being there but why wait until 11 to tell us?! We could have started that process earlier, gotten all gear and bike ready to go so that at 11 paperwork could have been completed (hell, maybe even got paperwork done earlier too just for the inconvenience of the bike not being there!). It was after 11:30 when we were finally able to start our ride. Ridiculous! read more

After having spent hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars in their motor clothes and parts sections, my husband purchased a motorcycle about a year ago. After trying half a dozen or more times to get 2 items that were promised to him by both Scott and Tyler, we finally realized that they, simply were not going to keep their word. It is for this reason, that when it came time for us to purchase my brand new bike, we did it from Eastside Harley in Bellevue, WA. We received the very highest customer service ever from everyone there. One of their employees even spent over an hour calling HD dealerships all over the US to try to find a specific part for us. While heading home from camping on 10/21/18, we met our daughter out in the back part Latus' parking lot to drop off our grandson, who had gone camping with us. This took place right after the store closed. While saying hello and moving our grandson's items from our motorhome to our daughter's car, we were approached by someone from their facility who very rudely asked if it was our intention to spend the night in the parking lot. After informing him that we were just dropping off our grandson, he said, "Good!! I was going to ask you to park in the lower lot if you were planning on spending the night." While this was going on, Scott had walked by a couple times and never even acknowledged us until I made a point of yelling hello to him, making it difficult for him to continue ignoring us. We are beyond disappointed with this whole exchange and can wholeheartedly say that we will never step foot in their store again...in addition to recommending our friends and family do the same!! It's really a shame how little "people" mean to this dealership. Clearly, they are only interested in the almighty dollar!!! The only reason I gave them one star is because I could not give them zero. read more

Everyone is always friendly, And very helpful. I've never had a bad experience at Latus harley-davidson. Even my son loved seeing Santa Claus and his Harley reindeer during Christmas when we had our family picture taken with him. My brother owns an older triumph, And every time we have gone in to get either parts for his bike or mine. They have always come through. I can't speak for the sales when it comes to buying a bike sense I have not yet purchased one through then yet. But when I do I will share my experience with them when that time comes. read more

My wife and I were on a trip and started to have engine problems. Went to Latus Motors and with out an appointment they got us in. Karl and the crew got us fixed up and out of there inside 3 hours. They were very friendly and awesome!!! They saved our trip. I'm coming here from now on and I live 4 hours away in Walla Walla. Also on the way home we hit a deer and thankfully kept the bike upright. Went back to there Harley shop on the way home and Karl sent me to there collision shop only 3 miles away. There Bobby and Bobby and there team got me in and worked on my bike and got us fixed up again with what they could do so we could safely ride home and gave me a good quote to fix what else needed fixed. Mind you this was a Saturday afternoon hot and close to closing time!!! I can't express enough how thankful my wife and I are to these guys!!! I can't even imagine going any where else!!!! Just bought my first Harley there this weekend. Let's start with sales. The sales manager Steve Phillips was amazing, he provided great upfront service without any bullshit. Very black and white. I appreciated that highly. The Harley I bought was used and very fairly priced. I also dealt with Bob Horton in sales. Again a very positive experience. He was knowledgeable and no where near pushy. Just on the sales aspect alone I was happy. Your treated like a human being not just a number they need money from. So I'm the financial department we had Morgan. Super sweet lovely woman who is also very knowledgeable and gets things done. She did everything in her power to make everything work. On the sales floor for merchandise there was another great woman there, sorry I didn't catch the name. She fitted me for everything I needed for rain gear and helped me remember anything I forgot. All in all my experience was very positive and I have no complaints at all. There was a closer Harley shop but they seemed to be overpriced on used bikes. I'm glad I came to Latus Harley and I personally want to thank Steve Phillips and Morgan for their exceptional customer service and professionalism. This will be the only Harley dealer I go to for anything for a reason....... Customer Service Excellence. read more

Sales experience was tramendously great. Had a fantastic experience and received a great deal on my custom ordered in 2017 Road Glide Special. It came in earlier than expected and Scott, the salesman really made it a fantastic experience along with Linda in the finance department. Then I got home and realized that my right front turn/running light was not functioning as a running light. The turn signal worked fine, but the running light did not. I was an ASE certified mechanic before going to college for an engineering degree, so not wanting to waste anyones time over a burnt out bulb I checked it and the bulb was good. I immediately called up Scott and talked to the service department about getting this resolved. I was a little annoyed over having just bought a $30,000 motorcycle, having a non-functional light on it. I didn't think I had to do a walk around of a brand new bike before I picked it up. I was a little disappointed that they expected me to drive it back up there to get it fixed, typical warranty work I understand, but a brand new bike, first day this was not acceptable, but we arranged an appointment for the following weekend. When the week started I realized that I didn't want to change by weekend plans that much just to get my brand new bike worked on. I called up and talked to Shad about getting my bike in earlier and if they could give me a loaner bike to save my wife having to follow me up to the dealership, we live about an hour and forty minutes away. Shad said it wouldn't be a problem, but he wanted me to switch bulbs in the motorcycle first to make sure it wasn't a bulb. I was a bit offended by this, but trying to be helpful I agreed and we said we would talk the following day. I called bright and early, letting Shad know the bulb switching idea did not work. That's when he informed me that his (2) loaner bikes were already spoken for. He offered me an early morning appointment so that I wouldn't need a loaner bike, but I told him that I have a full time day job and can't just take off work for getting a bike fixed. He said he would see what he could do and call me back. Over four hours later I heard back from him and that he couldn't get me a loaner bike. I asked him about the numerous used motorcycles they had and he said that I would have to arrange that with the sales side. We went back and forth a little bit and then the true Latus Customer Service came out. I told Shad that it should not be my job to arrange a loaner bike when it was the service department that missed a burned out bulb during their pre delivery inspecting. That is when he informed me that "That is not our fault" "All we do is throw on the handlebars and a tire and hand it over to sales" "Lights are ASSUMED to work from the factory and so this is not our fault". I'm sorry, but that is the most pathetic, lame excuse I have ever heard. I got sent home with a brand new $30,000 motorcycle and the dealership admitted to not having even checked that all the lights worked. I have not heard back from Latus over this event. I tried calling the manager, John, but have not received a phone call back. I am very disappointed that a Harley Davidson Dealership is letting brand new motorcycles roll out the door and not even checking that the lights function. I am switching dealerships and to say the least I am having my new dealership do another full inspection of the motorcycle, I do not feel safe on this bike knowing they did not even check the lights. I asked the other dealer about their pre delivery inspection, and they went into great detail about all the items that they check and make sure everything is in safe and running oder, even the lights, imagine that. It sounds like the pre delivery inspection is supposed to be a bit more than throwing on handle bars and a wheel. Please, if you buy a motorcycle from this dealership at least walk around your new investment and make sure the lights at least work before you leave. As for me I will never be doing business with this establishment again. If this is what Latus Customer Service is like I pity their customers. read more

This review has been a long time coming! These guys helped me out after being in my first accident in July. I've honestly been riding around & camping so much since I got my girl back that it took a few rainy days to remind me to write this. Jay & Aurora were so awesome to work with & so helpful. The shop sent me a card to say they were sorry Id been in an accident & to know they were working quickly. My motorcycle gave them some problems & even with some snags along the way they got it back to me a week before estimated because I had a long birthday ride already planned. I told them personally that dealing with Latus & their team has been some of the best customer service I've had from any industry. I was kind of worried they'd throw something in there to get some money out of me & it never happened. I do feel like they were looking out for my interests & helping me along the way. Took my bike in for new tires because of pricing, have used Paradise forever but was lured in by the pricing. Experience was worst experience in 30 years of riding and owning. You stand in the service lobby like a jerk waiting to get service, they made timeframe commitments that were untrue, didn't respond to calls to the Service Manager Mike, never acted like my concerns were valid and never tried to appease me as if they could care less about my business or bike. $870 later for tires, service and brakes I still feel they could care less about me as a customer. Bike went in on Friday, took until Weds the next week to finish? Excuses are like......? Work was done satisfactory, price was no savings, but their attitude and customer service is appalling, I will never take a bike there again or step in the dealership. Same on Harley for not stepping in and training them how to operate like a premium dealership should or hold them accountable to the consumer who pays a premium for all Harley branded products and service. read more

My wife and I checked on a Harley Davidson 2006 Road King when Latus had an outdoor sale. I took it for a test ride with one of the employees on his bike to follow. When we went over a freeway overpass he raised his hands and waved at the drivers on the freeway so I did the same and the front end of the bike I was riding starting to shake so I had to grab the bars to control the bike. When I got back to the dealership sale lot I told them I liked the bike but it shook on the overpass. They told me not to take my hands off the bike while riding They said it was the overpass road that might have caused the shake. My wife and I were concerned that the bike was not safe but they said it was. So, we brought the bike and brought an extended warranty from Harley Davidson. They took it to their dealership as I had no way to get it home right then. When I picked up the bike and rode it the front end still shook. Both the Manager and service manager were not friendly but the manager did tell me we could trade it in on a new one, I said that is bait and switch practice. After complaining, they replaced the front tire and check some other things but said there was nothing wrong with the bike. It still shook and again they said there was nothing wrong with the bike so I took it to an independent bike shop and right away they told me the front end was not right and they could fix it. Latus even called me about me buying the bike and I told them everything that they would not do and the warranty was not covered. I also told them I would not be a returning customer at Latus. I still have not been called back as of yet and I guess I won't be. read more
