MY rating is less than 1 star DON'T DO IT!!! So...I am a mature single woman and just bought a car from this dealership. I did do perhaps a 2 mile test drive, and it went well. It was getting dark, guess they were in a hurry. I asked why the radio was coming in clearly, he didn't know. I got the car and have driven it all week, in that time I have figured out that the radio doesn't work because the antenna does come up and it's a convertible and of course it does not go down, the trunk will open but will not stay up on its own. I am unable to even charge my phone because there are no working plug-ins (cigarette lighter) Hydraulics were thrown in the back of the car. The main problem is the brakes grab aggressively, at first I thought it was simply me not used to them but then I realized it's dangerous! I am making a turn and the brakes grab, very unsafe!! I make this known right away, they wanted me to bring it to their service, so I did call and service guy said, I wanted to let you know that you have to pay at least $80 just for the diagnostics, anything else that's wrong, you are responsible for. I did not go, as I am not paying for diagnostic test when they should have done that in the first place. The sales person did let me know today that he only makes $250 off the sale and that he was paying the diagnostic testing out of his own pocket, and he would pay for any issues with the car as long as it's $150 or less. I bought this car as an "As Is" and understand that there will be flaws (there are cosmetic flaws with the paint/worn), but I expected/trusted they'd have every vehicle checked out before even putting them out to sell. WARNING: Steer clear. They did not follow through on their end of our contract. It's been a year and a half and I'm still fighting them. Part of the "We Owe" contract was that they would replace the brakes and buff some scratches on our vehicle. We signed the contract, and they told us we'd get a phone call from the mechanic they contract to perform the work. Recently, Jake H (sales) told me that we no-showed for our appointment, even though Jordan (manager) confirmed with me they messed up the paperwork and never even submitted the order. We had to go back and sign additional documents under threat of repossession twice after the original sale. This place is an absolute scam. NEVER purchase from them. read more

Went to buy a vehicle that we had agreed on a price on line. Drove hour and half to get there, was running late and the salesman called to see if i was coming, I told him I was about ten minutes away. He said I will have the car pulled up and prepped. When I got there met the salesman and he said have a seat, and proceeded to tell me the car had been sold, I asked when it was sold and he couldn't tell me. But he was eager to show me anything else on the lot. Talked to the manager and he couldn't tell me when it was sold but he was eager to show me anything else on the lot. I was charged $6,000 in warranty and gap insurance without being told or asked if l wanted it. Then in addition to that was charged another $6,000 over carfax state average for that particular vehicle. As if that wasn't enough they neglected to credit me $2, 000 for my Denso discount as they said they would .for buying a Toyota.When showed the carfax that THEY had sent in on the previous buyer buying it 4 yrs earlier with 40,000 less miles and paid $4,000 less dollars they told me that Toyota trucks increase in value!!!!! The finance manager said " It's too late now to do anything about it " He refused to give me his managers name or number or anyone else over him . He said he was the nicest one l would talk to "the rest of them wouldn't be so nice ". I have 3 grandkids in the market for vehicles Volunteer Auto Maryville and all 5 of Hepperly' s car lots WILL NOT be on the lists of places to purchase a vehicle . One of the banks they had tried to get to fund the loan denied the amount because they were asking more than the state's maximum amount allowed for that vehicle but did offer the maximum state value of 30,000. The salesman was great, listened to my needs. I recommend him finding a more honorable car lot to work for. He is too good for them and they don't deserve him. Now for the car lot themselves, I do not recommend. My suv broke down within 7 days. Had to pay $130 to get it towed to the closest shop, then when they were informed Monday morning that it was in the shop, they agreed to cover the cost to fix it. Then claimed that they didn't give the shop permission to fix it, that they would rather tow it 1.5hrs away to fix themselves.... Somehow it's my fault the shop fixed it after they told them they would cover it? And now will only cover $700 of the $1300 needed to get it out of the shop. They did not stand true to their word and completely lied to my face when they said they take care of their customers. They lied to me when they said they would cover the cost to fix it. I have the messages to prove it. And to top it all off, the "e price" is just $1,000 off, but they acted like it was a "military" discount. No need to lie about a discount. read more

Worst place ever ! They ran our credit so many times to try to find us a vehicle . We ended up purchasing a vehicle that we had to return the same day because their service department didn't report the issues that were wrong with the vehicle . We were also told to " take out a payday loan" , so that we can have more of a down payment . These salesman here have absolutely no clue how to deal with customers . We were told we wouldn't be able to get into a SUV with the payment we wanted and the down payment we had . After returning the vehicle we went to a different dealership and ended up in a beautiful SUV with a really nice payment in less than 15 min . I'm still receiving letters from auto loan places because they ran our credit over 20 times . DO NOT GO HERE !!! read more

Like everyone else, I received a Guaranteed approval or $500 in writing. They have no intention of honoring this. I had a trade-in with 2500 to put down on my car. My salesman said I was approved over the phone. So I will drive two hours there. Ok, they gave a 1/4 of the value for my trade which I expected to slash that......they always do. But that would work for a down payment, as the salesman told me on the phone. I was told I could get a car, like the lowest value on the lot, but I had to put $1,000 down. The sales manager told me I had to put some skin in the game. Ok, wasn't that my car? I received a credit denial in the mail a week later. When I told the lot that I was denied and wanted my $500 guaranteed offer......they would not answer me. Don't guarantee something you can't control....not good business. They could at least honor their agreement. read more

By far the best experience we've ever had. All the gentleman at the Maryville location were awesome, Especially Barbee and Dan. Barbee is down to earth listens to what you need/want and takes you from there. Showed us options after discussing our money flexibility so we knew up front what we could look at comfortably. For us that meant alot, two of our potential vehicles were at the Knoxville location Barbee sent us with Dan and allowed us to test drive another potential there once we got to the Knox location Dan was awesome kept us informed held conversation with our son and helped us test drive the others vehicles and we brought back our dream car (each location works with each other like a seamless team ,that was awesome to see no competition just teamwork) where Barbee worked us the deal of our lives . We purchased a gorgeous jeep here... or so we thought... put down the deposit, did all the paperwork, paid the ridiculous amount of insurance to get it insured on a Saturday to drive it off the lot with their insurance company they recommend to fall in love with the jeep. Got a call a week in a half later that some paperwork had some mistakes on it and needed to come in to fix it, asked if it would affect anything and were explicitly told no not at all. We got there to "sign the extra paperwork" and were told they had to take the jeep back because of a bank error it we didnt qualify... Two weeks?? it took the bank two weeks to figure that out?? Red flag number one, then the "sales manager" told us that maybe he would be able to get our deposit back... we are still waiting on that check yet they had to have that in hand to drive off with the vehicle. Come to find out, from THEIR salesman the reason they took the jeep back was the person who had traded it in who we were told repeatedly was a wife of one of the managers and that's why the car was so clean that her financing had fallen through....... how is that my problem? why was the car on the lot for sale if it wasnt really for sale? and why were we lied to about the circumstances ... repeatedly. Now we have been told by the finance company that the car lot told them they had forgotten a few things and instead of sending them in they were just cancelling the contract...
