Let me first start by saying this was not my first place I went to get PRP. The first place I did vampire facial with an MD in a doctor's office and to be honest it was nothing to write home about. Go to an aesthetics professional who focuses on this stuff. Get yourself an aesthetician master like Larissa, NP, who seriously knows what she's doing. Here goes my honest review: - I was a few minutes late to my appointment (LA traffic, we know the drill), after I parked in the office parking area.... went to their office, I was greeted by a super nice and authentic staff. When I say "authentic" although they have a Wilshire address in Beverly Hills, there's no overkill pretentious fluffy bougie stuff going on. - Office waiting area is deceptively small, but then when you go in the back, there's multiple rooms for procedures, etc. - Place was nice and clean, not over done, and not under done. I don't want a place with such a huge overhead that they pass along those "expenses" to me, you know what I mean?? Now for my favorite part of the review: - They took my "before" pic in this huge lightbox and no kidding when I say HUGE lightbox. 6 feet tall easy that you step into. Pretty nice. - Then I got ushered into the back where one of the staff started to give me a wrap for my hair (awww, very nice to make sure didn't get numbing gel all over my hairline), and started to numb my face. - After waiting a few minutes Larissa came in and gave me the once over. We discussed what I wanted. I came specifically for the PRP under eye hollow injection but after speaking with her and getting that vibe that she really knows her stuff, and not wanting to make another appointment... I was like let's do the whole face and neck while I'm here. Yay! **Let me add, I did TONS of research before choosing this practice and while some places with an MD I went to previously did PRP vampire facial, the PRP injections are NOT the same. Totally different procedure! I was looking for a one-stop kind of place I can build a relationship with. - Fast forward to her applying the PRP into my face, under eye hollow, cheeks, around mouth area and neck. While I did feel slight pinch with needle, someone like me and... I didn't tell Larissa how scared because I was trying to be all brave. She did give me some funky pink stress balls to hold on to. - Fast forward to her applying the PRP into my face, under eye hollow, cheeks, around mouth area and neck. While I did feel slight pinches with needle (as she was working) it really wasn't that bad at all. And I didn't tell Larissa because I was trying to be brave face at the time, how scared I really am of needles. I mean really scared. She did give me some of these modern pink stress balls to hold on to. - Before I knew it, the procedure in the areas I needed such as; under my eyes, cheeks, around my mouth AND neck area were done! How did I feel? I looked in the mirror and quite frankly I felt like I found my new home. Would I recommend Volure Medspa? You bet. So unprofessional. I showed up for my 11 am appointment on time to a locked door! I knocked several times and even went downstairs and back up to knock again. I decided to leave at 11:15 and the parking Valet still charged me for parking (I get not his fault). There's no other parking around everything is tow-away or 30 min so valet is your only option. There are so many other Med Spas around and going to go somewhere else. Don't waste your time here cause they don't care about wasting your time. I just wasted my entire morning and it took me an hour to drive here. PS. The building is so dingy and unwelcoming. Kinda scary actually. UPDATE: It's been a month since I posted this review and no one ever called be to apologize. I came to Volure Med Spa and was welcomed with open arms. I came in for a Plason treatment with Melissa and an Evolve consult with Dr. Gelman. The Plason treatment was relaxing and my skin was left clear. Melissa talked me through the entire treatment explaining what each application does as well as all the serums she thought would work well for my skin. I'm so happy I found Dr Larissa after I did FORMA for the 1st time today and was blown away by results! I'm based in NYC and used to do all my facials/treatments there with professionals I could trust, but since Covid19 started I relocated in LA and it was time to find aesthetician here, I read many reviews about this MedSpa and saw there were offering FORMA treatment which I wanted to try for soooo long(I could find anyone in nyc who does it before). So I made an appointments last week to get FORMA with dr Larissa today, was greeted by super nice receptionist who took some pictures before which I liked cause I wanted to see the difference myself. Then I met Dr, she was very friendly and knowledgeable (I do love to ask a lot of questions about treatments and she was explaining me everything). She took time on each area to work it though I didn't feel like she was rushing through it. It was completely painless, more like a warm face massage. We stopped after she did half of the face so I would see the difference and it was def a "wow" effect for me, I know my skin is in pretty good shape but I felt how much tighter and defined it looked. I had some redness for 15 min after(I get red very easily) by the time I got home redness was gone completely.
