just reviewing the buying experience (not maintenance/service) i had getting an XC60 recharge last month. the place is beautiful and luxury for sure...this should be expected due to the price of a volvo. my sales pro was Leroy and he went above and beyond with getting me set up for purchase. there was an issue with my insurance card and Leory spent a lot of time on the phone with my provider to straighten it out. if you are in the need of a new car (purchase or lease), i highly recommend checking them out. read more

I signed a lease with this dealership in 2024. The car immediately started having problems but they could never figure out why. The car's safety features stopped working while driving, the side mirrors didn't open while on the road, no AC, and the trunk would not open/close in a brand new car. The problem would randomly start and stop without warning, but every time I got to the dealership, it was "fine" according to them, despite me showing them tons of video evidence and photos of what I was experiencing. I even went so far as to contact corporate, which was also a waste of time. Getting a loaner was rarely an option as they kept saying they didn't have any available. I was left to figure out my life without a vehicle despite paying for a lease whenever something went wrong, which was often. They do not care about you, and the Volvo XC40 is trash. I've owned two Volvo xc60 back to back. This is the worst Volvo dealership I've dealt with in New York A few years ago, I brought my car in for service, and they failed to detect that my brakes were worn down. Within 24 hours of picking up the vehicle, my rear brakes failed, and I had to replace the calipers -- something that could have been avoided if they had checked the brakes properly during service. More recently, when I called to return my vehicle at the end of my lease, they made multiple excuses and refused to take it back. The lack of accountability and poor customer service has been consistent in my experiences with both Volvo Brooklyn and Volvo Manhattan (which are the same company). I have never owned a Volvo before and leasing from this location was a poor experience and a very bad first impression of the brand. There were two issues with my brand new 2025 XC90 which I noticed a couple days after delivery. There is a large chunk scraped off the driver door trim piece, and a rubber grommet on one of the front parking sensors is falling out. Relatively minor but on a brand new higher end Volvo a little frustrating that it came with a scrape. Second, this is our first Volvo and we had no idea how anything worked, what features the car has, how to operate it, etc. No one from the dealership ever reached out or checked on delivery which I found odd. When we first got it we had a lot of questions and didn't know who could help us. And so we had to figure everything out on our own through a combination of Google, YouTube and Facebook groups. Third, there was a major incident with the battery, on a 1 month old car, which caused loss of use for nearly an entire week as the vehicle was being serviced for a serious battery and charging system issue. Let me remind you this is a 1 month old car, a 2025 Volvo top of the line model!! I had to call Volvo Roadside Assistance which sent out a tow truck that was unable to jump start or tow the car, who then had to call a second tow truck and I lost an entire day of time while waiting around for them. I then had to make two separate trips to and from my local dealership - the first time they "reinstalled the modules". When I returned to pick up the vehicle, the same problem reappeared on the dashboard and the car was undriveable. The vehicle was finally returned to me after they had replaced one or more batteries and put 100 miles on the odometer while testing. I reached back out to ask for all battery maintenance records for the vehicle while it was in possession of Volvo Brooklyn and was given nothing more than "batteries are checked the day before delivery". Apparently they skipped this step or missed a critical issue! And Fourth, during delivery of the vehicle, their driver went through an EZ Pass toll lane without any EZ Pass, and I received the violation bill a month later. I had reached out to their salesperson and the service manager and each time was brushed off or ignored for over a month while trying to correct these issues. OWNERS be aware!!!! Much like an earlier review, I've never had a Volvo before until now. Less than a month of me having the vehicle, I had multiple safety recalls along with a strange front end noise. I brought it to service where they claimed they're at the mercy of the manufacturer to change parts accordingly. Almost three weeks at service, no resolve and found an additional 185 miles driven on the vehicle. This is the BIGGEST insult to injury is: One of the employees took my car for a joy ride, got into an accident, my plate is missing and now I have 5 cars making claims on my insurance that a car hit a ran the scene of the accident. Now, I have a new car with front end damage and a missing plate. Volvo Brooklyn claims it was hit while parked, obviously not so! This will not be left unaddressed. My wife and I could not be more upset with our purchase from Brooklyn Volvo. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly right up until the moment they took our money and our substantial down payment on the certified pre-owned vehicle we purchased. After that, the service and respect disappeared completely. It has been made very clear that Brooklyn Volvo does not value certified pre-owned customers. They only seem to care about those leasing or buying brand-new cars. The moment you walk into the service center... or worse, try to call for help you're treated as if you're at the very bottom of their list. We feel absolutely swindled by Scott AND THE WHOLE TEAM during the sales process, and working with Tom in the service department has been nothing short of a nightmare. I worked with Aleksandr who was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I found it a bit tricky to find the dealership itself traveling by car, likely because of Google Maps and the roads being under construction. If you're turning left on the main avenue and come to a red light, you'll see Costco on the right side. Past the light is a parking lot where you can park your vehicle. The salesman, Darius was extremely knowledgeable about every model and feature. In the past I've often had to tell the sales people all of the features. Very sketchy business practices. They offer me a price, then lowers it by 3k the following day. Asked me for a down-payment, then claimed they sold the car. They refused to give me the price layout after asking daily by text and email after only offering me what my monthly payments would be. The finance manager Michael is not upfront about the car's history and when asked about oil changes or tire rotations, he plays the...let me speak to my manager game. The car they tried to sell me had 2 accidents with only 18k miles. The last owner sold it after 5 months. Damage to the undercarriage can be severe, and when asked about the nature of the damage...they said...I don't know. As a woman shopping for a car, it's not easy when these men try to take you for a fool. Go elsewhere for your Volvo. Omar was very quick and easy to talk to on text after we asked about an XC90 T6 Momentum with an advanced package. He gave us an incredible price and was honest and very efficient. We spoke to 6-7 dealers in the tri state area (which you should always do because every dealer is so different-some are still in the Stone Ages and won't give you an out the door price on the phone). My car came in for a simple inspection and maintenance update at 8:15AM. Supposed to pick it up at 12:30. That stretched to 2:30. Then 3:30. It is now 4:30pm in the afternoon and here I sit, waiting for my car. They tried to overcharge me, then haggled over their own stupid email coupons, and the service counter attendant was far too familiar and argumentative at the same time.
