They must have a real problem with they of hair shampoo - waited several minutes before an employee can and opened up so I could purchase my $12 worth of shampoo and conditioner. This is a real disincentive to shop at this store

No updated & incorrect hours for Christmas. had me driving out of my way 10 miles at freezing 6 AM for nothing.

I drove 10 miles all the way over here because yelp stated they were open now at 6am and I needed butter for Christmas dinner. The damn store is closed and the lazy af manager didn't even have the courtesy to update their hours for Christmas calls. The recorded call states to press 1 for the 7 day holiday hours and stated they open at 6am. It's 6:30 now and they're still closed! I am so pissed! I showed the employees through the glass doors the store hours on Yelp stating that it's open now and all I wanted was butter and they declined. I then called and spoke to an employee and she said they open at 7 AM and I mentioned that Yelp and the store's automated recording stated the 7 day holiday hours for Christmas as opening at 6 AM? And she replied "Ma'am, that is all corporate and we have nothing to do with that."So that means if Corporate tells you to open at 6 AM you decide open at 7AM if you wanted to? I'm definitely going to boycott this entire chain and I hope you do too.

    Burger Cake

The bakery outdid themselves. Walked in looking for a fun birthday cake for my dad's 72nd bday. This cake was larger than a regular burger and good for probably 4 people. The price was incredible! Kudos to the bakers at Vons!

Sending to a friend.. looking for a thin crust...

We were sad to see that we have to travel to the far side of town to shop at VONS. It was the favorite of the lovely missus. So today, she made a short list and suggested we go to VONs. But... but...well, the missus had made up her shopping mind, and I really don't mind the drive. We got there before Marina HS ends the day because we knew from previous experiences (non-VONS) that it could get really busy. The VONS store was immaculately clean. She was able to find eggs and pies and milk and ripe bananas to make banana bread. Oh my, look at that... Have not seen this at other markets. I quickly grabbed the cold see thru box, and the contents made me jump for joy. You guessed it .. 4 deliciously looking Chocolate covered eclairs with the sweet pudding like vla inside. I wanted to get thru the check out asap. Now I am really glad to have gone to VONS.

Flower arrangement I made with Katie's recommendations.

I just want to give a very special thank you and shout out to Katie in the flower department. I love arranging flowers for her, and every time I've gone, Katie has helped me pick flowers and vases and given me fantastic tips that have made me a better flower arranger! I gave my girlfriend her bouquet and she absolutely loved it. Thank you Katie for being so warm and helpful and answering all of my questions. If you have a partner that you want to show love to, check out the flower department and give it your best shot. Katie is great help. There are premade options that are lovely as well.

I like vons, the only problem is there is always long lines as they don't have enough cashiers to work .

I know all Walmarts have a standard staple items for their stores and groceries stores. However, all states and cities always stock some kind of local things specific to the area. Like the local coffee beans or honey as an example. For that, I am the crazy person who looks for that! This store sells everything. You can find the meat department, dairy, vegetables/fruits, bakery, drinks, pastas/rice, frozen, candy, miscellaneous household items and much more!!! The aisles seemed spacious. Overall, a great experience! The store was clean and stocked. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ample parking. My better half bought some things for family. We found some specialty coffee beans and spices. I only purchased drinks for our room.

I receive the foregoing w/ a Walmart+ membership via a credit card. I was intrigued by Aloha bars: A Hawaiian co offering plant based, sugar free, high protein bars. However, Amazon was selling them in 12 packs for $3/bar. I didn't see any stores selling individual bars. But I did see that Walmart was selling them for $2/bar in 5 packs. In addition, I could receive the bars the same day w/ free delivery. I ended up liking the bars and will buy more. Nonetheless, I will buy them from Walmart bc the price is cheaper vs Amazon, and Walmart offers the bars in smaller packs.

The store itself is smaller if you compare it with places like Shun Fat Westminster Superstore or Hòa Bình supermarket. There is only one checkout counter and the staff all seem to be Vietnamese. After walking around, they pretty much have all the basics covered. The focus is Vietnamese and Southeast Asian ingredients and sauces. They have their own seafood and meat counter with number tags where you can ask them to clean or cut fish, plus a small deli to go section. I also noticed their delivery vehicle outside that says wholesale, so it seems like they also supply restaurants in the area. Overall it feels like a neighborhood market that also does some wholesale business. The fresh section looked clean and there was no strong smell. I happened to see ground pork on sale for $2.49 per pound. The regular price was $2.79. Of course I had just paid $3.99 per pound earlier that day at 99 Ranch in Irvine because I wanted convenience. While we were there, a Vietnamese lady next to us was buying a big pile of meat and seafood and chatting with us while waiting for it to be cut. She said she always shops here. She ended up buying the last of the ground pork in the display. We asked if there was any left and the butcher said he had more in the back, so we immediately decided to grab two pounds. I think this place is perfect if you do not want to push a cart around a huge store and just need to pick up a few items quickly. They are open until 8pm. Next time I have more time I will come back and explore a bit more to see what other interesting things they carry. Inside, it has a decent selection of items. I didn't notice that usual strong fishy smell you sometimes get in Vietnamese markets from seafood or raw meat, so it felt fairly clean and well maintained. Seafood and meats looked fresh, but prices are higher compared to other Asian markets. The produce section looked fresh as well, just on the expensive side. There is a small prepared food section in the front for quick takeout. Even with the higher prices, it's still a convenient place to shop. Not too big, easy to get in and out, and you can find most basic things you need.

So for those who love eating a lot of greens and variety, I definitely recommend it. It's also a good store when you just need to pick up small items like milk, eggs, or vegetables. Their fruits and vegetables are cheaper than Trader Joe's. They also often carry halal organ meats like liver and chicken hearts. Some items can be a bit overpriced, but the fruits and vegetables are definitely worth buying - they taste like they're straight from the garden. The downside is that you should be careful while choosing berries - sometimes there can be mold (though this can happen in any store). And that there's a credit card processing fee. However, despite a few drawbacks, I'm giving it 5 stars because their business is really valuable, and I wish them continued success and prosperity. I definitely recommend stopping by - there are always many interesting and tasty things to find at affordable prices. The cashiers are also very kind and friendly, thanks for the service!
