we stopped by for lunch on a saturday and had a great experience overall…read more we ordered the garlic parmesan thighs, honey mustard thighs, sweet thai coconut chili wings, and a full order of plain waffle fries. the waffle fries were easily the highlight for me. they're simple, crispy, well salted, and honestly up there with mcdonald's fries. the chicken pieces were huge, and we ended up taking leftovers home. i loved how crispy the skin was, especially on the garlic parmesan thighs. my biggest complaint was that the meat itself wasn't as tender and juicy as i expected. the garlic parmesan also had large cracked peppercorns throughout, which wasn't my favorite, so i probably wouldn't order that flavor again. the honey mustard wasn't really for me. it tasted like the chicken had been coated in a lot of honey mustard dressing. i preferred the sweet thai coconut chili wings by a good margin. the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. the restaurant has a colorful, family-friendly atmosphere with fun decor, including kids' artwork on one wall and tie-dye merch for sale. our server was attentive, the restroom was clean, and everything felt well maintained. we parked a few streets away, but it wasn't difficult to find street parking.

The ordering process is chaotic: you have to push your way up to the bar between the seated patrons and wait for a bartender to notice you. There's no ordering spot and no queue so it takes a while. I liked the vibe so much that I bought a koozie featuring The Casual Pint. I was also thrilled to find a Salty Turtle beer that I very much enjoy but usually only get at the beach. The BBQ tasted pretty good although it was already sauced. The collard greens I got instead of the pickles was a generous portion even given that substitute sides are $3 extra. The collards didn't taste that good, but adding some of their vinegar sauce helped. The thicker sauce taste better, imo. It's OK, don't know if I'll be back, probably not, but maybe worth a try for you.
