Vo's is a good shop in many ways. I've taken several vehicles there and 95% of the time I've been happy with the results. My youngest daughter went there for a used vehicle pre-purchase inspection and the final cost was much lower than any other place we used (she had three vehicles inspected). For the most part I can't complain, BUT, the woman running the phone and office makes scheduling work a miserable experience. Hands down the worst communicator I've ever dealt with in my life at a business. Even the guys in the shop get frustrated with her so I'm not alone. It used to be you could schedule a time to go there but it seems she's given up on that and just tells you come in so you end up waiting a long time if you don't have a ride. This is second trip to Vo's for car repair. The communication was incredible. The technician we had was Jon, got in diagnosed the problem and saved us money by seeing if some of the parts are salvageable, which they were. Car was towed there late Monday afternoon around 4 and got a call today (Wednesday) morning and it was ready. Also love they support our military. Months later...water is coming through the inside of the "replaced windshield that Vo refused to repair properly. I have no receipt for the windshield that "he" paid to repair and then refused to have repaired properly. So no warranty. My leather is being destroyed. Still waiting to get a new windshield because of the supply chain issues and distorted glass. I can not recommend Vo's after this horrible experience. I went in because I had a coolant leak. First of all I do not trust car mechanics. I read reviews on several shops around town and still couldn't pick one. Till I read reviews about Vo's. As a woman I think most men think women are easy targets for ripping off. I read all of the reviews written about Vo's and there were several written by women that made me feel good about bringing my car here. So I did. I was very happy with the job done and the best part was what he charged me. I will continue to use him for all things auto. Vo is very friendly, the shop is clean and looked organized. I took my suv to vo. It was making a clunking noise he said it was the roders and brakes he put new The sound didn't go away so I took it back he said the clicking was I need an oil change so he did an oil change that sounds didn't go away I took it back he said it was the axle he put the new axle didn't go away took it back he said the axel was defective went back because the noise didn't go away so he put a total of 4 axles on the left front tire and the sound didn't go away so I took it back he said it was the right axle so he put a new right axle and the new CV shafted The noise never went away so I took it back and I told him it's still making the noise and it's even louder he said that he drove it he didn't hear nothing that it was quiet so when I go and take it to him I ask him to come out and listen but his wife told me he was too busy to come out and she argued with me saying sarcastically oh vo the only one that can hear it and I tell her no but he's the 1 working on my vehicle so I want him to listen so he came out he heard it he says oh that's the noise I'm so sorry I didn't hear it so he said he could fix it So I left it he calls me that it's ready I asked him what was wrong again he said the axle was defective he put a new one on so that's a total of 5 axcels on 1 side still the same sound so I was just fed I paid probably over $2000 for everything he did to it and the sound is still there so I took it to a different mechanic and they said that it was the Lower arm control suspension control arm and ball joint my whole entire steering column was loose and my tire was wobbly the mechanic says he has no idea how vo could miss something like that. I'm very disappointed he didn't even try to make it right every time I asked to speak with him his wife always told me he was busy and the first time I went in and I explained to her what was happening she told vo that the brakes were making noise not even close to the reason why I brought the car in I always told them to call me before they do anything so I know the price and his wife would never call me they would tell me once I got there or we did this to it and it's just really bad business so I would never recommend these people read more

My car was overheating. I called and spoke to John. I specifically asked if there was a diagnostic fee. He said no. I took my car in. They said they'd call later that day with an estimate. When I hadn't heard from them in over 24 hours, I called. I was told the repairs had already been done; without my consent or knowledge. They never provided an estimate. One of the reasons I needed an estimate was to get financial help to pay for the repairs. They refused to provide this until after I paid. I had to use what little money I'm living off of to pay for this. And now, I won't get financial assistance. All they did was replace the radiator cap. They did charge a diagnostic fee ($165), which was the most expensive part of the repair. They also claimed there was a leak. There was not. They charged me for coolant, which I already had in my trunk. I had purchased it days before. The only thing they did that was considerate was offer me $50 off. I wish I could say my experience was better. They are really close to me, so I was hoping to use them as my regular mechanic. I will not be going back. read more

I used to trust this shop - but I feel like they are now all about $$. I have been taking my vehicles here for years - and referred many people to them. I had a repair a few weeks ago and had to go back for the same issue. They did not offer any discount and took no ownership of the their work the first time - charged me full price for the second repair. I understand that cars can be tough to diagnose sometimes, but I expect a level of warranty for work - especially within 30 days. I will never go to Vos again. they lost a loyal customer. Recently took my truck here to be worked on. Said, "I would like you to replace the sparkplugs and wires". When the work was done, they said I didn't need new plugs, only wires and charged me a reasonable price. How many mechanics will tell you that you don't need work done? I bought my car in after backing in to something like an idiot. I could tell immediately that I damaged my exhaust somewhere. I went to Vo's years ago for a different repair and they were fantastic. This time, I told them the issue and left my car behind, confident that they would find the issue and get it fixed. However, it should have been a red flag where the woman up front tried to tell me that my catalytic converter had been stolen, even after I told her exactly what happened.When I got the call with the quote, I was told something else was damaged so I went ahead and payed about $450 to get it fixed assuming that that included the exhaust repair. That was a mistake. When I got my car back I payed and went to leave and noticed that my exhaust still wasn't fixed. I immediately turned around and went back, only to be told by the owner (I assume) that he was never even told about the initial complaint in the first place. He told me to leave it behind again and it would be looked at first thing the next day. The next day I got the news that the exhaust in fact DID need to be repaired but it would cost me another $360. At this point, I was so frustrated that the issue wasn't addressed in the first place that I told them no. When I went to pick up my car, I told the woman at the front that I was there for a puck up telling her the make and model. She walked to where the keys were kept and walked back in with an untagged key asking if it were mine. I was honestly shocked when she just handed me a key, not even knowing if it went to my car. Fortunately it did, but put in the wrong hands, someone's car could have been stolen easily! I will never be going back and I am extremely disappointed with how I was disregarded and I felt like I got the "runaround". I would suggest looking somewhere else. read more

I have gone to Vo's a couple of times and I have to say he is the best in town. He doesn't speak English very well, but, he does great work and the prices are lower than anybody else in the area. I think this guy is amazing. He replaced my water pump, several hoses, an EGR sensor, and replaced my belts for just over $400. Everyone else wanted 600 to 800 to do the work. read more

I have used Vo for several years. While he is't perfect, he definitely CAN be trusted. I have had him recomend I take work somewhere else because they could do it for cheaper. I have had him fix problems for a minor charge when another shop tells me that a huge repair is needed. Just last week another shop told my son that his barings needed replacing. I took to Vo's. He just tightened them and they are good. AND he does'n't over charge for the work he does do. My dad uses him, my nephew, my friends, and myself, just don' have to worry about him ripping you off. They were very cordial, and did the work promptly and at a good price. However the job wasn't properly done. I had them replace the differential cover gasket. Over the next few months the differential began slipping and grinding. After researching, I discovered the problem was caused by insufficient lubricant and the lack of a friction modifier being installed. I ended up having to fill the differential myself and discovered it was about 1 1/2 quarts low. Further, I noticed on the invoice that they had charged me $10.00 for a quart of fluid. I had asked if they changed the fluid or did they use the old fluid and he told me they changed the fluid. I found out later that the capapcity was actually 3 quarts, not 1 as I was charged. Obviously they used what was left of the original fluid, which is why it was more than a quart low. It shows they are incompetent or negligent, or both. read more
