I was working in the same building as Voxx Coffee for 1 week, and my colleague based out of Seattle area recommended I stop by here. The 1st time I did, I got an 8 oz hot chai tea latte. It was really delicious--it was noticeably less sweet than what I usually get at Starbucks and other coffee shops, which was great because usually the sweetness is a bit over the top. It was also neat that they had 8 oz cups, since a lot of other places seem to have larger "small" sizes, which can be too much when you just want a little pick me up. The 2nd time, I picked up 2 drinks for myself and a colleague. I ordered the cold chai tea latte, which was just as tasty as the hot. However, the powder sort of settles as time goes on, so I would be careful with the last few sips if you don't want a lungful of chai powder. The drink prices seemed normal for Seattle; an iced chai and an iced mocha, both 12 oz, came to $8.37. When you pay, there's an option for tips and you can get the receipt by text, email, or printed. The coffee shop is centrally located and seems popular with people working nearby. It wasn't too busy either time I went, but I was only ever there around midday/early afternoon. Came to this place on a Friday afternoon and it was not packed at all. Our server was extremely quick and the menu was very easy to follow. I ordered the drip coffee which I thought it would take maybe three minutes to brew but she actually poured it within a matter of five seconds. So that was very quick. After living in Seattle for a while, you start to realize there's a whole new world of coffee beyond Starbucks and a better one at that. Personally, I like the mocha here. It's got just the right balance of coffee and chocolate. The coffee is smooth and not bitter, while the chocolate comes in more as cocoa and less as a sugar dump. For me, the service has always been excellent! This is a great local place to grab a coffee or pastry and get some work done. However, the hours are scheduled for the office workers nearby so while it opens early, it also closes early. Also, the space is a bit small so depending on the time, it may be hard to find a spot but usually, most people are just in and out. read more

Decided to take a stop at Voxx today instead of settling for the 'Bucks... And I'm pretty happy that I did! The décor of this place is really cute - it's very modern and they have lots of Seattle-centric decorations (which makes sense, but it makes me like them even more). It was also very clean, which you don't always really see during peak hours at a coffee shop. The cashier that was working was so nice and she was SO ADORABLE UGH. I'm super envious of her tan, too... Anyways. She was really nice and you could tell that all the customers in front of me were regulars, because she talked to them about things they had mentioned the week before, which I thought was really cool. It's always nice to know that your barista remembers you! I ended up trying one of their summer specials, the Iced White Chocolate Lavender Mocha. I was like... Hmm. Might be weird, or might be great. It turned out to be FABULOUS. The lavender and the white chocolate go so well together - neither flavor overpowers the other. In addition to all of that, something about their coffee beans made me so much more alert this morning than the beans at Starbucks! Which is definitely a bonus since I'm feelin' that end of the week drag. Only reason I gave it four stars was because the girl who was making the drinks was kind of grumpy/mean. I had the worst experience at Voxx Coffee this morning, on top of TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE specifically from Joe! First of all he over flows my iced latte EVERY SINGLE TIME he makes it. Coffee spilling everywhere, and on top of that the cup is completely sticky and then the cup is covered in coffee grounds!!! OMG He cant take two seconds just to wipe the cup off! I asked Joe to remove some of the ice, because the cup is completely overflowing and he then dumps out damn near half my drink out, and throws the cup back down! Then on top of that i asked him why would he dump out my drink when I specifically asked him to just take some ice out BECAUSE HE OVER FILLED MY CUP!!!!! and obviously i would rather have more coffee then ice, COMMON SENSE!!!!! He then had an attitude w/ his very very very poor customer service, and they refused to give me the managers name/number! and had me come online to complain about this situation! I then tried 4 lids but all were too small WHYYYYY????? because someone carelessly but the 20oz lids in the 16oz holder and the 16oz lids in the 20oz holder. This is the WORST COFFEE experience ever, and it makes me regret ever coming to such a horrible coffee shop! If this is how this coffee shop does business i will never return and give my business, nor will i ever recommend such a terrible shop to any one! I've tried this coffee shop a few times, and the customer service, and overfilled drinks is what I get every single visit! Yes, your coffee is good, but if your service was half as good as your coffee you might be able to retain customers and not lose business!!!! read more

I love that they have breakfast burritos here. They warm it up for you too and they're delicious! Their coffees are good and priced similar to other nice coffee shops. I ordered the chai tea latte, and it was decent. Nothing special, just the typical chai. Mornings are super busy so be prepared to wait in line for both your coffee and breakfast. The location is great too for folks who work in the area. I love the modern atmosphere inside the restaurant. This is the perfect spot for a quick coffee or a great place to chill at for a bit before your busy day! They have all sorts of pastries and sandwiches (which I saw being delivered that morning) and was pleasantly surprised to see GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! Too good to be true I thought, until I bit into my blue berry muffin and .... It was amazing. Coffee is definitely good quality, lots of milk/milk replacement options, and the lovely barista offered to whip my almond milk for me without me asking (starbucks, you are fired....). Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, vintage vases with fresh picked flowers add a great touch. Get it to go (its cheap and quick) or stay for a bit (great music, lots of seating). Ah, I'm diggin' this modern throw-back design & decor... and that clock reminds me of my grandma's old house! Only her house wasn't quite as on top of things, unfortunately. Annnywho, I decided to finally try it out. I felt coffee then glanced at the chai... every now and then I think to myself, 'maybe the Morning Glory will make its way into me.' In town for a conference, went to Voxx 1-3 times a day In AM, long line. Staff cool, chill, nice. -Sandwiches are surprisingly good - had the Tuna salad twice (they heat up to perfect degree), which was flavored to a good degree, not just your typical sandwich. -Also had a Reuben which was similarly solid. -Chocolate croissant was pretty good - solid middle of chocolate w chips, shoulda asked for it heated - stupid not too -Multiple nonfat lattes: generally good, good amount of foam, not too hot (I like them immediately drinkable), and smooth flavor; one was more Starbucks-like (minimal foam), which I chalk up to the creator. My fiancé and I went here for breakfast on our last day in Seattle. While the ambiance inside was very nice and what you'd want/expect out of a hipster-y coffee place, the coffee wasn't as extremely amazing as everyone kept telling me it was going to be. It's possible that what I got was just not the best thing on the menu. The breakfast sandwich I had was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. I don't have a ton to say about Voxx, as it was pretty much a very neutral experience. Voxx has great coffee and food options. Unfortunately the service there is terrible. The people who work there are unbelievably rude. I have gone there numerous times hoping it was just an off day and have decided that the days that they are pleasant are actually the off days. The last time I went I accidentally went to grab another person's order and you would think I'd just slapped that other customer across the face given the overreaction by the baristas. I'm done trying with this place. Starbucks is not as good but at least they don't treat you like something stuck to the bottom of their shoe. read more

Voxx is one of the loveliest, most relaxing places to call "office" for a day, especially if you're in Seattle on business. A surprising oasis in the midst of downtown, with gorgeous mid-century modern furniture to give it a homey 50s vibe (without being kitschy). The light jazz music in the background makes it a perfect spot to concentrate, and enjoy some luxurious productivity. And, because it's Seattle, the coffee is irresistible, with foam art and all. Since it's right downtown, lots of business people come through to grab their coffee and pastries to-go, so the seating area was almost completely vacant on the Thursday morning I was there. Yessss! There's a long wall of bench seats with small tables and easily accessible outlets, plus free wifi. If you're someone who seeks out the "perfect" cafe for laptop lounging, Voxx is that cafe. Food wise, they have a huge assortment of pre-made breakfast sandwiches ready to be grilled, panini-style. The thick slab of almond cranberry biscotti was exceptionally delish, nice and hunky, crunchy but not break-your-tooth crisp. What a find. I don't go to Voxx Coffee often, but when I do it's always great! Voxx is a bit out of the way for a quick coffee break from work, but I have a handful of friends who work at Union Two next door, so I find myself here for small coffee breaks. The coffee always comes out perfect and staff is super friendly. They have both tables & a couch to talk or work. I have always come during prime business hours (9-5) and have never had an issue getting a seat. The noise level is minimal so you shouldn't have a problem hearing the person across the table from you. read more

Normally, I wouldn't have thought twice about a tiny 4 star coffee shop with only 35 reviews, spread over 3 years. Especially when said coffee shop was a half mile walk from our hotel. If it weren't for Nique F's glowing 5 star review, I wouldn't have had this place on my radar. It's located almost in the lobby of Park Place. I'm not sure if this is a hotel, condos, office building, or Monopoly card. Either way it's a fancy high rise with lots of rich looking folks coming and going. A brisk stroll there and back yielded us two 12oz lattes. Since lattes are served with two shots of espresso regardless of size, you're just paying for more milk to water down your espresso if you go any bigger. I believe the Vegan tax was $0.60 for soymilk. Almond milk is also available if that's your thing. My honey ordered hers with no foam so she didn't get the same sexy latte art that accompanied mine. Their latte art game is on point here as you would expect in Seattle. After trying several coffee shops in Seattle, this was my favorite latte. Almost as good as what I can get back home in the Bay Area. I don't know who their roaster is but the espresso was smooth and flavorful. Tucked away in a large concrete building that is probably some type of government building if I were to guess, Voxx definitely has its own unique vibe going on amongst the dozens of other coffee options in the area. Admittedly I've been boring the handful of times I've been here and have stuck to your standard cappuccinos and lattes - both of which are done right, and done strong! But I have been tempted to try their more adventurous menu of options. They have a little menu of specials on the side that feature more creative espresso drinks like cayenne mochas and cardamom lattes. Definitely flavors I want to sample in the future! My only excuse is that I am generally more cranky than adventurous at 7 am when I've usually popped in here in the past, so I can appreciate the potency of their standard drinks. The food options are also intriguing. They do have your standard arrangement of pastries, but they also offer an array of burritos and sandwiches which is a great thing in my book. Too many coffee places only offer only sweet treats, and I really prefer a savory breakfast when I opt for a breakfast more substantial than pouring coffee down my gullet. The seating area is nice, and there are also a few small tables outside. Granted your view will mostly be of government employees getting to work and cars queueing for the freeway onramp. This place is everything I expected it to be, in terms of judging a book by its cover. It's rustic and contemporary, and the warm cozy atmosphere comes at no extra charge; everything is very reasonally priced. There are some nice options that you won't find at Sbux (an unavoidable comparison to make, but I still love you, Sbux!) -Coffee: Lighthouse Roasters is a much milder roast for the daintier palates. -Milk: In addition to all your standard options, they have Rice and Almond milk in their arsenal. -Baked Goods: Macarina Bakery supplies their baked goods. Need I say more!? -The Little Extras: This is what sold me. Aside from FRESH ground nutmeg and honey, they have a bowl of citruses with a zester that you can help yourself to in order to add a little zesty kick to your drink. There aren't quite enough establishments around that offer a Medici or Valencia-type option on their menu, and this place solves my little dilemma with that ridiculously simple gesture. read more

I've come here a few times now and I have to say I really like their lattes. This is one of coffee shops I've been to in Seattle that has convinced me that I'm not someone who dislikes lattes, I just haven't been drinking good lattes! I actually haven't tried their regular latte yet. So far I've gotten an orange cardamom latte and a vanilla chai (I think chai?) latte both of which were specials. I loved the orange cardamom one - you could actually taste the orange and cardamom which was refreshing. They even threw in a small orange peel! The vanilla one was also good but the vanilla flavor wasn't particularly noticeable. I also like that you can order all the way down to an 8 oz. size if you're not feeling a huge coffee drink in the morning. At ~$4 a latte this place is reasonably priced as well! This place is on my way to work so I definitely plan on stopping by some time soon! read more

Have always been a fan of the original Voxx in Eastlake, so I had high expectations when I finally got the chance to visit the new location... expectations were exceeded! Its a stylish, yet comfortable cafe w/delicious coffee drinks & bites to take on the go, or to sit & have lunch. The atmosphere was good, I could read a book comfortably for a decent amount of time (this is how I gauge what the ideal cafe atmosphere is). Plus I totally appreciate that they have almond milk as an alternative dairy option, but for the dairy drinkers, they have ORGANIC milk too (awesome!) Although, I don't work in the downtown area anymore, I can imagine how many countless others will enjoy having a good local cafe w/a nice vibe in this part of the city- I highly recommend this coffee joint. read more

Friends from Seattle have told us they don't like Voxx either. Whatever beans they use just are not up our alley either.
