What made the experience even more memorable was the hospitality. The owner was there, took the time to chat with guests, and was incredibly kind. As a nice surprise, he even treated us to complimentary turon, which was such a thoughtful gesture and a perfect way to end the meal. It's little moments like that that make a restaurant stand out. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere make Ludi's an easy recommendation for anyone visiting downtown Seattle. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

Once you arrive inside you order at the front counter. We had warm & friendly service from the moment we stepped in. We ordered a full stack of the ube pancakes, the combo rice silog plate & then an extra side of beef lumpia and garlic rice. Once we were seated, the food came out pretty quick and we all fell in love. Every single bite was delicious and you can taste the love put into each dish. The ube pancakes lived up to the hype! not too sweet, perfect texture, and a flavor that was so perfect. The combo plate was amazing and I could eat a ton of their lumpia. Ambiance is homey and comfy, with photos all over the walls and a lively atmosphere. The owner himself came to chat with us about the food. We saw him walking around and being present with plenty of customers and that added a very special touch. he even gave us a magnet souvenir to take home. I will definitely be going back next time i'm in seattle and cannot recommend enough!

We love the BLT salad, this time the shredded beat and carrot salad was excellent, and so was the butter lettuce salad w/ housemade Green Goddess dressing. The soups are insane, but this time we tried the smoked sablefish with an unreal horseradish cream and beets. For entrees, we ordered the pork w/ nectarines (out of this world), moussaka and halibut. For dessert, profiteroles and their galette of the day w/ housemade ice cream - wow. An absolutely delightful meal. Can't wait to return!

Server didn't ask how everything was or if we liked it, and I thought that was a bit odd. Our server was friendly but she was also busy with a lot of tables and our interactions felt more quick and business like. A couple times we needed something I had to make eye contact to get attention. Inside was quite nice. Simple. We had a booth by the window and it was just right. Overall a very nice time if you want this style of food.

Tempting pastry case with savory and sweet choices, the usual bevs, as well as, cocktails. Vibrant place to visit solo or meetups with others. The 16oz iced mokka (mocha) I had was well crafted. Both counter folks were personable and welcoming. I was able to sit at a two top and remain cool during my brief visit on that hot Tuesday early afternoon. They've been an indie (Cafe Hagen/Freya) that has expanded to many locations: here in SLU, two on Queen Anne, downtown on 5th, at Dexter, the Waterfront, Freya in Pike Place Market and Nordic Museum in Ballard, plus sites over in Bellevue and Kirkland. The coffee here was okay, though not especially memorable. I tried the vanilla cardamom latte, which had an interesting flavor but wasn't quite to my taste. My friend had the blackberry honey latte and liked hers more. The shop itself is cute with decent seating, and the service was good. The baked goods were fine, though nothing that stood out. Overall, it's not a bad spot, but not one I'd make my first choice either. I might stop in again to try something different. read more

I didn't have a chance to try any of the food, so I can't speak to that side of the menu. What really surprised me was the coffee. It was excellent and honestly might have become my new favorite coffee spot in the area. The only reason I'm holding back from giving it five stars is the pricing, which feels a little steep for regular visits. Still, the quality of the coffee, the atmosphere, and the overall experience were enough to make me want to come back.

Presentation though was on point though with the whip cream on top of the drink similar to an einspanner one of my friends got before here, and I loved seeing that layer of peach below, even though it was tough to stir even with their straws. Drink is quite big for the $9 price tag compared to other recent places around the area, so you're getting a lot more here! I just probably had a one-off experience with the matcha, so I'll come back to try their coffee instead.
