Tried to figure out where to get dinner around 9PM in my hotel room and eventually gave up and just settled with the restaurant in the hotel. It's really not that bad and makes for a great fallback option. I got a Southern Sour ($14) based on the Yelp reviews I read and it's strong. Did not regret ordering it. For appetizer, I got the Fried Green Tomatoes ($13), which was served on top of whipped goat cheese and spicy pepper jam. I could have done without this. For entree, I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich w Cheesy Grits ($18). The fried chicken sandwich was a bit messy to eat due to it having creamy coleslaw, pickles, and dijonaise. The cheesy grits were amazing. I forgot how much I missed eating southern grits. Service overall was fantastic. Attentive and super friendly, making the experience better. read more

Stayed at the Atlanta Marriott and dined for dinner both days here. Nice ambiance good menu options and pretty decent service and pricing. Sat at the bar both times because it was just me. Day 1 Service from Jessie was just okay. He wasn't personable, more dismissive & short. Didn't give the much feedback when asked questions and directed me and bar mates to the menu when asking specific things. However, he's thorough with order and drinks, Good bartender. Southern sour- delicious..perfect balance of strong, sweet and sour. It's the only thing I ordered during my stay. 5/5 Fried pickled green tomatoes-2/5 I'm a sucka for fried green tomatoes and typically prefer them Southern style with romuloude. Pickle flavor is STRONG. which should be expected when you order something pickled, but it wasn't for me, too tart but good breading and fried nicely. Southern cobb salad w/fried chicken breast- 5/5 a great Cobb salad. Sometimes I feel like Cobb salads do too much because it's a little bit of everything. But this one was a great balance with the corn, sweet potatoes, pickled onions, deviled eggs versus boiled eggs.. it was unique without being overwhelming. I would definitely order this again. Sushi - red dragon? I ate it the following day omw out. It was Good, I'm sure it would be even better fresh 4/5. Key lime cheesecake- it seem like it had a lot of whipped cream. I had it to go so there were like two big sides of whipped cream and then the top layer of the cheesecake is like whipped cream. But other than that the flavor was really good I would consider it to be a solid key lime cheesecake. 4/5 Day 2 Wings half lemon pepper & half hot honey 5/5 nice and crispy and I didn't have to ask for them fried hard. Both sauces were amazing and they had good blue cheese and ranch. Mac & cheese 2/5 interesting noodle choice it's like long paneer if there's another name I don't know it. But it was cooked perfectly and creamy. The flavor was just not there. It was completely Bland and needed seasoning the cheese sauce lacked flavor. Fried okra 4/5 Pretty good I did not care for the chipotle ranch but those pickled onions with it set it off. I ended up dipping the okra in regular Ranch and my hot honey wing sauce. The restaurant Yoya.... Their evening staff was interesting. They messed up our order so we didn't return for dinner there. We ordered the special drink of the month Strawberry mojito. Was given the wrong drink then given the right drink. The mojito wasn't good. As for the drink that was given by mistake was really good but when we reordered it, it tasted horrible. Not sure who was making them and how they drastically changed in taste. Ordered a burger with cheese and fries. They brought out the wrong burger and asked us "are you sure?" when we said it wasn't ours. This happened more than once with the burger. The manager ended up comping our meal after we canceled the burger and fries because the wait was getting too long. Voya's staff that works breakfast was great. One lady walked around constantly checking on everyone. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit, omelet and waffles, cereals and bread. They also have a menu to order off of as well. The price was breakfast buffet seemed high for the selection of food. The seats at some of the tables are cute but they are not comfortable. The key lime cake was not good. Best miso soup that I've had in America. Flavorful. The deviled eggs were basic. Even with the pork belly and bbq sauce there flavor of the egg wasn't savory enough. The fried chicken dinner was tasty. For my sides I got Mac and cheese and asparagus. Omggg that asparagus was so good. Nicely grilled. The Mac and cheese was tasty enough. Not southern Mac and cheese at all but had a nice flavor to it. (Definitely not something I would reheat. There was a lot of oil left over) also keep in mind that the only hot sauce they have is cholula and Tabasco. Other than that the establishment was very clean and busy. read more

Excellent restaurant located inside the Marriott hotel. Loved the buffet breakfast every morning. On the weekends they have someone available to make your omelets the way you like. They also have french toast and Waffles that they will make if you request it. They also have a regular menu available if you don't want the buffet. The buffet also includes orange juice and as much coffee your heart desires all for $22.00 pretty good deal right! The bacon was perfectly cooked! Loved the whole variety of selections that was included in the buffet. I highly recommend it!! Service was good as well. They have plenty of seating available as well as several booths. I was happy to enjoy my favorite salad here again. I was hoping it was still on the menu. It's the house salad. It has arugula, asparagus, almonds, feta and roasted peaches with a citrus dressing. Yummy! I got carried away and ordered sweet potato gnocchi with baby kale, Parmesan, brown sugar and butter, wild mushrooms and onions. This looked nice but I really did not care for it at all. It's $19 and I just couldn't eat more than a few bites. I then decided to try the peach cobbler with ice cream. It seemed like a safe bet in Atlanta but sadly even that was disappointing. Southern Food meets Sushi at an Atlanta airport hotel. Just say no! Strangely, the only edible thing I had was the Hamachi! Sushi in the south...go figure. It's not that the other food I had was necessarily bad, just COLD. I love fried Okra (cold) and really love Corn Chowder (really cold). The Server was obviously not having a great day and it showed. No smiles, not friendly, mostly absent, but I'll give her a pass. We all have tough days. This negative review comes down to the kitchen. Hot food should be HOT, or at least lukewarm! read more

It was just myself that came here for dining. I ordered the Mac and cheese, collard greens and chicken sandwich. They didn't give me any utensils. I ordered the Dressed to Kill cocktail that was on special. It was very strong. Not a bad cocktail at all. The chicken sandwich was very dry. The man and cheese was excellent and worth ordering as well as the collard greens. If this were just about food, then 4-5 stars would be in order. We came here with a large party (40+), and Voya arranged to give us a fixed price menu. The appetizer of bacon and brussel sprouts was absolutely sensational. I got seconds and thirds. Solid turkey BLT as my main course. But where the experience fell apart was with service. We ordered around 7:15 and didn't get our entrees until an hour later. It was quite literally the slowest service that I've ever endured. So, despite good food, I've gotta knock off two stars for the amount of time this restaurant cost me. read more

I've been here a few times and it has become clear that these experiences aren't outliers. It's the "great" experiences that others have had that are the outliers. Food is only ok, though I do recommend the Caramelized Brussels Sprouts on the shareable menu. And the service is really spotty - further explanation below. Their signature cocktails are fine but I haven't had one that had any real wow-factor. I was with a group of 5 during this last visit and one of our guests ordered from the sushi menu. We were there for 2 hours and we never got his food, so we canceled his order and he ended up sharing pizza that was now cold that another guest in our party had leftover. If you ordered from the bistro kitchen, our food came out fast enough, but the salads were extremely basic. The roasted beet salad is just spinach with a few beets on top, and some goat cheese - I had forgotten how plain it was from when I ordered it a couple years back. We were also initially seated at a low, lounge-type table with a couch and a couple other lounging chairs, that maybe would've been fine for a group looking to get drinks only. It was not appropriate for a group looking to get dinner. And when we asked to be seated at a high-top, drama ensued. Our server was scrambling to see if another server was willing to give up one of their tables. It was clear our request was extremely inconvenient, which stressed us out. It was also clear that the hostess wasn't willing to help and that it was on the server to figure this out. I've worked in restaurants and this is best handled by hosts, not servers as they still have other tables to wait on. I also saw another guest walk up to the hostess and let her know they were ready to order bc they had been waiting awhile for their server to take their order. The hostess told them to just wait for the server, and the guest was clearly frustrated. Yikes! Not cool. I understand that hosts aren't servers but if they aren't at least willing to take an order to help an obviously scrambling wait staff, go home. Clearly this place had no sense of TEAM (aka toxic work environment) and weren't willing to make adjustments to help each other, or make their patrons' experiences better. If I have to stay at this hotel again, I will plan on having food delivered. read more

First the sushi chef was super friendly as I watched prepping my food. The shrimp tempura roll was very delicious as well as the poke bowl. We had dinner here...just a couple of sandwiches with sides and drinks. My wife got a BLT with fruit, I got a grilled cheese with chicken and a side of Mac and cheese. The sandwiches were excellent, made on thick cut bread. The Mac and cheese was also great. My only regret is that it was a rich meal for me, and I'll be dealing with acid reflux tonight. I should have gotten the BLT and fruit. But it was DELICIOUS. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. read more

This restaurant is pretty nice. It has a casual feel with touches of elegant decor. I went here twice during my four day stay at the Marriott. The food is great! I ordered the okra for an appetizer, and though it was not what I expected (I've only had the traditional fried okra), it was absolutely delicious. I had a Voya burger with an Impossible patty. Again, it was delicious easily 10 out of 10. My son and mother really enjoyed their custom Flatbread pizzas as well. I came back another time bu myself to decompress and enjoyed a house margarita and some bread pudding. I'd have to rate the margarita as a 9/10 and the bread pudding as a 7.5/10. Two things were consistent with my visits here. One was good, but unfortunately, the second was subpar service. There doesn't seem to be an available host or hostess to seat you and I think that's the issue. The waiters take quite awhile to acknowledge you and take your order. Once your order is placed, however, they do a decent job coming to check on you and making sure you're having a pleasurable experience. If I happen to stay at this Marriot location again, I'm willing to give Voya another shot. read more

Actually very good for "hotel food"... Sat at the bar during Sunday Night football. Decent amount of tv's, some booths have individual Tv's which is fun and different. I ordered the Marriott Burger ( which is pretty consistent throughout the hotel chain). The burger is really good. This time I i ordered it bunless and with spinach. It was very good! Voya is located in the Atlanta airport Marriott to the left of the check in desk. I didn't really seek out Voya for lunch but I'm was staying at the Marriott and had limited time so I tried it. The dining area is nice, decorated well and some of the booths are private with their own TVs which makes a nice distraction if you are dining alone. I ordered the Sesame Chicken salad minus the chicken and a side of veggies. Service was quick and friendly and I had my meal choices served under 10 minutes. The salad was tasty with some fresh mixed greens, avocado, matchstick carrots, mandarin oranges and some flat bread. Sesame dressing was served on the side which I appreciated. The veggie side was broccolini which was cooked well and still had a bit of crunch to it. I would like to have had more vegetarian/vegan options though they do have a portobello mushroom burger that I almost ordered but wanted to stick with something healthier and not as heavy. They do have sushi options however not until 4 pm. Good service and a nice atmosphere made my visit enjoyable. I wouldn't necessarily seek it out again but it was convenient and fast while being relatively healthy. read more

Simple is usually the way to go for casual hotel lobby restaurants. Arriving around 11pm, and starving, I was thankful that Voya was open until the early morning hours. They had some traditional bar food such as wings and quesadillas but they also had soups, salads, edamame, hummus, and some southern favorite such as fried green tomatoes. I went with something very simple, a Caesar salad. We also got the brisket sliders and sweet potato fries. The salad was very fresh and the large portion was filling. The brisket we thought had a nice taste but it was a little overcooked but the sweet potato fries were really sweet and delicious. We decided to get our order to goto take back to the room and I was told that the wait would not be long. Unfortunately, they messed up the order so it took longer to get things right. Even so late at night, the bartender was very friendly, as was the other waiter, despite the fact that we just got water while we waited for our food. read more

Breakfast: Gave had breakfast there on two separate occasions. Had the same male waiter both times. Both times he was rude. Second time he overcharged me and when I pointed it out (nicely) he argued with me until I told him to go get a menu at which point he realized his mistake. Would only return for dinner. Courtesy of my specific layover in Atlanta to see my ManBaby & crew, VOYA Bistro was the destination for my late night soiree in bringing my birthday celebration to completion. There's three different establishments listed on the Atlanta Airport Marriott's website, yet they are all in the same lobby area...Bistro, Café & Sushi Bar. The sushi bar (4pm-11pm daily) is within the Bistro that offers the normal breakfast & a breakfast buffet (6:30am with various ending times) & an all-day dinning & bar (11:30am-1:30am daily). We opted to sit at the large table in the sitting area across from the bistro, where comfortable chairs & a huge flat screen was present. Sharonda, our fantastic server had no issues serving us from a miniscule afar. We partook from both the bistro & sushi menus, enjoying ourselves until 2am. Price point for the food is good, as the alcohol drinks are a little steep. The end time may not have been beneficial post partying in catching a 7am flight...yet, it was most absolutely worth it. We celebrated in a lobby takeover in a civil hitherto grand way. read more

My son and I enjoyed our meal on our last night in Atlanta. The fried chicken was served piping hot- fresh out the grease. My drink was so strong I could not take more than three sips. I asked to take it to my room but I still couldn't finish it. So I highly recommend that bartender and the blackberry fizz. My sons burger was huge and he nibbled as much as he could before taking it to go. He finished it the next day for lunch. Omg! This place does not disappoint. They are located within the Atlanta Marriot Hotel. I had the Ribeye steak and let me tell you it was the best tender tasting steak I have had in awhile. I ate the whole steak and had a feeling of total satisfaction. My BF had the Southern Fried Chicken and it was some good tasting chicKen as well, full of moisture and flavor. We both rolled out of our chairs completely satisfied and unable to speak LOL . I highly recommend this restaurant even if you don't stay at the hotel, it's worth every penny. read more

The absolute worse experience I've had going to a restaurant here in Georgia. The waitstaff makes you feel rushed and unimportant. As my wife and I arrived, we were not aware that this establishment was inside of the Marriott. We were instructed by a sweaty waitress to seat ourselves, as she walked past us. We found our seats and after about 5 minutes were greeted by our waitress. As my wife began to tell the waitress what she wanted to drink, the waitress walked away, mid-sentence. This cafe / restaurant is in the Marriott Lobby but is very nice and usually very popular. I ordered the salmon, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The salmon was excellent, cooked perfectly, and was moist and flavorful. The asparagus was also cooked to perfection, just a slight bit of crunch and very tasty. However, the mashed potatoes were bland and didnt have much flavor at all. For dessert, I ordered the blueberry cobbler which came in glass jar like bowl. It was average flavor heavy blueberries not as much cobbler. Overall, I'd go back, just wouldn't get mashed potatoes. The Atlanta cider was great also. read more

I spent 2 days at the airport Marriott traveling for business. Didn't really want to leave the premises so I decided on dinner at the bistro. I started out with the fried green tomatoes from their southern specialties. I'd consider this more of a salad. Wow! This dish was amazing! The fried green tomatoes were topped with arugula, fennel, and bacon. The dressing was perfectly light and seriously amazing! A must try! Next up I had the short ribs which were pretty standard, not too much fat and fork tender. It was served with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Both equally good. I got a bread pudding dessert to go and it was warm and delicious. The sauce was a little thin for my liking but not bad. Service was very good. It was a very busy night, with lots of people but I was attended to promptly and I had enough time was between dishes. Since my friends and I were guests at the Atlanta Airport Marriott, we went here for convenience. We were also on a time crunch since we had an event to attend so a lunch at the hotel's restaurant lobby restaurant sounded perfect! This place supposedly offers authentic sushi, but they also got other stuff on their menu like chicken wings and fried chicken! *who doesn't like variety right?* So my two star rating is actually pretty generous from what we experienced here! It took almost an hour for our sushi (when we only ordered california rolls, some nigiri, and unagi) to come out.... There was very poor communication between our server and the sushi chef which caused us to change our order several times. Our server was very unclear on how the combo platter works when he was the one who recommended it to us! My friends who ordered the chicken wings and buttermilk chicken meal actually received their food before our two orders of sushi combos. *sighhhh* I'm glad the portions of their chicken plate was on the generous side, because we were picking on their food while we waited for our. Once our sushi came out we immediately asked for to go boxes, so we can eat it on the way to the event we were going to. Needless to say, the quality of the sushi was not worth it.
