Young waiter was not the best, had to remind him 3 times what our order was, that we wanted the appetizer, a take out order requested while we had our meal was lacking in quality and quantity. The lunch order was what we got and we ordered it during an evening meal. Not sure why. The orange chicken was over cooked and had no flavor. The salmon salad had only had iceberg lettuce. Fairly decent Vietnamese food for the area, a little pricey. I worked there for only two months before I quit, the manager and her family who run the restaurant are overly money driven and greedy. The family treat kitchen staff with no respect and often belittle and PHYSICALLY pick on the dish washer. This place is absolutely evil. Management is unprofessional, often had to ask for my paycheck days after pay day only to watch her write it out because she "forgot". I've worked for another Asian restaurant who was tough but always for my benefit and well being. This restaurant was depressing to work at and honestly should be looked into. I do NOT recommend anyone to apply at VY'S. They often change staff because many quit after only a few weeks. I could not stand to work at place who treat the kitchen staff so poorly and unprofessionally. As a customer you will never see this side of the restaurant, but as a former employee, they are petty and unprofessional. They had refused to give me my last paycheck until I had brought back my ratty old work tee shirt I had worn for two months straight. I have visited Vy's twice after I quit and each time, they would not greet me or serve me well and purposely mess up my order. (Ex, no bean sprouts in my spring rolls. I would find more bean sprouts than usual. And they would be angry when I sent it back) Vy's is not here to serve you, they are here to make as much money off of you as possible. They charge for anything and everything extra. Decent bowl of pho, but I suggest Boba @ Noodles for decent pho and better service. Have been to this restaurant a handful of times with fairly good results. Maybe nothing too exciting but good enough to come back. Tonight we ordered something to go and I asked for extra bell peppers in my husband's shaken beef dish. I was told it would be an extra $1 for the peppers and I said that was fine. When we got home we saw 2/3 of the dish was rice with a little bit of beef, very little, and 5 cubes of bell pepper. So the $1 extra got me 5 small pieces of pepper?? This dish was definitely not worth $11! My husband also asked for extra plum sauce, for my pho. He was told we will give you more than enough. We get home and there is the normal amount of plum sauce. No extra. It appears this restaurant is pinching pennies, to the extreme. Who wants to lay $11 for a plate of white rice?? And then be charged extra for ....nothing. Would not recommend this place. read more

Finally! Good REAL pho in Keller! My wife and I moved here in April and have tried just about every Pho restaurant in the area. The Pho Dac Biet I ordered tasted just like my mother-in-laws! You can tell they actually take the time to boil a beef bone and don't use powder. It's also a perfect balance of Saigon cinnamon, star anise, and whatever else you are supposed to put in pho. Our first tests were the Cha Gio (fried spring rolls) and Goi Cuon Tom Thit (fresh shrimp & pork summer rolls). We watched as the Goi Cuon was made fresh and not refrigerated. You can tell it is the real deal bc there is mint in the roll. A lot of places leave it out bc some "Americans" can't stand the strong mint flavor. Both were delicious! I had Pho Dac Biet (combo beef) and my wife got Pho Tai Bo Vien (rare beef and meat balls). Did I say the pho was real? The flavor was perfect and it wasn't greasy. My wife cooks pho at home and I know how tedious it is to remove/scoop as much fat out as possible. Kudos to the cook/owner. Best of all, we don't have to drive to Haltom City or Arlington/Grand Prairie for real Viet food. We will definitely be back especially since they have Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef soup) on weekends! read more

We opted to try the rice dishes this time. its just not worth it. I really tried to like it. its Asian food trying to be fancy, the portions were just not right, the side of vegetables were just blah, if you put it on the plate I hope you did something to it. salt. I should have guessed by the name - go with the pho here. The pho is pretty solid, rich broth and plentiful noodles. However, avoid the banh mi! I usually never dislike banh mi (it's a sandwich...how can you mess that up?), but this one was dripping with oil and grilled until it hardly resembled the light Vietnamese sandwich I was expecting. There was no flavor in the meat and the pickled vegetables lacked the pickle flavor. Stick with noodles here! Service is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Love! Love! Love! this place! I can't tell you how excited I am that there is a legit Asian establishment in our area now! Hubs and I have been here 3 times already in the past couple of weeks. I always get their grilled pork vermicelli. It's always fresh and satisfying. We also always get the grilled pork spring rolls. I love that they actually put in some veggies and herbs. Hubs always gets their chicken breast pho and says it's the best he's ever had. I recently also tried their grilled pork banh mi...OMG...delicious! One thing I noticed was that they slightly butter the outside of their bread, yummy! I can't wait to go try some other ones! read more

First visit to Vy's today for lunch. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. One of the cleanest, organized Pho restaurants I've been to. All staff very accommodating and speak English. I was so excited to have a pho restaurant open so close to home! Then I went and realized they do not offer a vegetarian broth. So many pho restaurants do now, so to think the one close to me does not is very disappointing. I went with veggie spring rolls and the salmon vermicelli instead. The spring rolls were very crisp and fresh, and they have mango which is a nice surprise. The vermicelli dish was also refreshing. I have been here twice so far. The first time my family & I went was back in March due to the excellent reviews it got so we gave it a shot. Was not disappointed. The food was delicious, the place was spotless clean and the service was great! Today was our second time going & this time things seemed a little different. First off, I ordered their Lemongrass Chicken plate which only had a little bit of chicken, sucks because their lemongrass chicken is great. Second, my young child's order was served late & thats because I asked the waitress for it, who knows how much longer we would have waited if I had not spoken up. Third, the service was awful! We were seated right smack in the middle of the restaurant and we were still being ignored. I picked up our plates and set them aside for them, I also had to wave down the waitress to order some more food for my children and for the bill. There was no 'thank you' or proper customer service even after I paid. They truly seemed annoyed. It was four women on the floor, one of which seemed to be the owner/manager. It is truly a disappointment when the food is excellent and the customer service is awful! Makes one not want to go back no matter how delicious it is. read more

Yep, this is now my favorite Pho place around here, even though they have bamboo chopsticks. I hate those cheap things. I know, it's weird, but I just don't care for them. Enough of that because the food is the star here. The broth in their Pho is wonderful and the fried egg rolls are delicious. They remind me of lumpia from the Philippines. Seriously good. My wife got their chicken Lo Mein and it destroys any Chinese place around. She doesn't care for Pho, but she really liked the Lo Mein and that says a lot because she's extremely picky. This place is bleh. It is super clean and modern looking. But the service and food is bleh. If I ever came back which I'm still debating about it'll probably be for the appetizer and that's it. We ordered the crab ragoons and grilled salmon spring roll to start off with. The crab ragoons were small but they were generous with the cream cheese filling and you can actually taste the imitation crab meat and onions and flavor in the filling. The salmon spring roll was pretty good along with their peanut sauce. They could've put more avocado and mango in it though instead of a very small thin slice. For the main dish I ordered the grill chicken vermicelli noodles without bean sprouts. My chicken was moist but bland and the nuoc mam sauce was watered down I had to add hot sauce and soy sauce to my bowl for flavor. The noodles were over cooked and I didn't get much veggies. My friend ordered the Pho Tai Bo Vien. Boy was it flavorless. No matter how much hoisin sauce and hot sauce he put in it it was bland. They were generous with the meat in his bowl but it was hard to eat cause it was gross. This place isn't worth the trip to come back and like I said if I was in the area and wanted a quick bite I might come in for the appetizer but that's it. read more

Dined at Vy's today with my son...great day for Pho and wanted to get his impression of this new favorite of mine! HE LOVED IT!!! He has a number of Vietnamese friends, and has had homemade Pho and Pho at a number of great places in San Francisco Bay area, and said Vy's was as good or better than any he has tried! I am now addicted to Vy's, and have eaten there 4 times over the past 2 weeks after my first visit, and plan on going back to try new dishes. Everything I have tried (several Pho bowls, Vermicelli bowl, spring rolls) was fresh and flavorful. Really no need to make the drive to Haltom or Arlington again with Vy's serving this quality of food! This place is a must try!!! read more

I have only been here for their drinks, haven't had their food yet. Their milk tea is good, but I had better. Thai tea is good, not too strong and more on the sweet side Their almond milk tea .... taste terrible, it tasted like cough syrup! I like this place because at least it is better than that one boba place in Noodle's House. The milk tea there was really watered down and taste nasty. Feel like I was drinking water instead. Overall it is nice to get a decent Viet place around here, Haltom is too much of a drive sometimes. read more

Traditional spring rolls were fresh, perfect textures and as a signature touch, a little piece of lettuce hangs out the side like a shrimp tail would in fried shrimp! Exceptional egg rolls. Chicken and rice. Plating was a but dull. Quality meat delicately seasoned... Not noticeably marinated... So ultimately Vietnamese inspired chicken that was excellent... Failed to capture the feel that we were looking for but was satisfying nonetheless. Pork vermicelli. Curiously, the noodles were perfectly cooked, but steaming! Pork was perfectly cooked, well seasoned and a perfect portion. Vegetables were indeed indeed bland and the portion seems more aligned to an American preference. Three carrots were not pickled and there was no daikon. Fish sauce was very sweet. I think a lot of people will enjoy Vy's for its high quality and fresh ingredients, the great location and the best atmosphere. It is a great place to introduce someone (or yourself) to a full selection of birth Bede This Is an excellent restaurant that appeals to casual diners. For most, they are doing everything perfectly. We had 2 noodles and the beef stew with french bread. Noodles soup base was very salty and loaded with MSG, (we know because we are very sensitive) I got headache before I left the restaurant, my wife got it 5 minutes after me. The meat for the noodles were pretty plain, tasted like it was soaked in water or something. The beef stew, was loaded with salt and MSG only, for the same price I have twice as much stew. Leave alone the amount of MSG. I'd like to point out that the servers swing by every 2 minutes offered to away a basket of some plates or bowls. We got pretty annoyed, because it is just too often. I guess they need to find a nice interval, rather than coming every 2 mins. Sorry we won't go back. read more

Seriously the best pho in the area without it being in Haltom. It's been nestled beside target for a while now. I tried it for the first time years ago and I've been hooked ever since. They are truly an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and the people who own the place are super sweet. Always see the same nice lady with glasses there and I assume she is the owner, she remembers me and always says hi. Never had a problem with ordering before! You gotta try the eye round pho, if you're not into different textures in meat that's probably the most palatable for people! But I love their pho with flank and meatball too. Meat is always quality and there's plenty of it. Broth is to die for. They also have great vegetarian options too for those of you who do not want meat. Their Bahn mi is excellent too. Jalepeno or no, this sandwich is spicy! I'm no stranger to heat, but this has a secret kick to it. It's amazing and the bread is always crunchy and perfect texture. Their spring rolls are also great, can't go wrong with the traditional, but you gotta try the grilled pork spring rolls too. I'll put it this way.. I first came here on a friday night, and was back again for lunch on Sunday. And then again for dinner on Tuesday. It's so great, and so authentic. I grew up in an area of Los Angeles where there are a plethora of asian restaurants, from korean BBQ, to japanese ramen houses to hole in the wall pho restaurants. My friends all went to Johnny Rockets for their birthday dinners, and I spent my mine eating Pho in restaurants where nobody working there spoke english and nothing in the restaurant was written in english letters. I was so sad to move to Fort Worth and have none of these things within a 5-10 minute drive (or walk) That being said no, i don't speak or read vietnamese, but i sure know how to put away Pho. They are very good about getting my unique order correct every time (beef pho broth with no meat, swap rice noodle for flat noodle, add broccoli and extra cilantro). My only complaint is I don't think that their egg rolls are very good, but I am pretty picky because I grew up always eating egg rolls from this one place in Haltom City and they were my favorite of all time. Spring rolls are pretty good too, just not my favorite of all time. Banh mi is also good. I thought I already reviewed but maybe I was just too euphoric after a great lunch last time. I started with the spring roll which was great but more filling than i expected. Lightning strikes again here as I had the roasted chicken thing that was awesome. Also thanks to the waitperson who mentioned that the half chicken was small. I always appreciate the honesty because I was able order the full order that a dude like me would need to feel satiated. The chicken though smaller made it very flavorful. The meat was well cooked but tender and juicy. It came with some sides and their iced tea was also pretty good. I fear being close to the office, it may become a regular haunt to help fill my various food needs. Greatly needed near Keller as we are overwhelmed with burger, pizza, taco and BBQ choices. I'm so excited a good pho place opened up near my house, this will be my safe haven for harsh winter days. Tried the chicken pho, meatball and brisket pho, eye round flank pho, lemongrass chicken, and chicken fried rice. Everything is good but I'd suggest getting their meatier (beef) pho over the chicken; and fried rice over their entrees. I always get my phos "sate" which is just extra spice for those who can handle the heat. They give you a ton of food so you'll always have leftovers and the price is good! Service is really friendly too! Haven't tried the boba cuz I heard it wasn't good but their Thai tea is good, just a little stronger than most places. I love pho, and could probably eat it every day and not get tired of it. This is by far my favorite pho place in the area, consistently very good, fresh, depths of flavor in the broth. On top of that, my husband and son who do not eat pho always find something they like, never had anything not delicious! Love they also have a great variety in their menu, like the boba teas and my personal favorite, the passion fruit juice. Also love the dumplings here. Always super friendly attentive service. In regards to food- I had pho dac biet ( combination beef) and spring rolls. Rolls were fresh with the rice paper so soft. Pho was good and the broth was nice - not too much overbearing spices. The only thing I would advise the owners is to change is the meat. I get that in the area, the pricing of food is supply and demand. However, I feel the meat is very minimal for the price. They need to be a little more generous. It's cut so thinly that I can hardly taste it. It would have added much more depth if there was a balance of meat and rice noodles in my pho. I ordered a banh mi ( sandwich) for my son for takeout and opened the sandwich - barely any meat. Flavor was good though. Overall- great addition to the area. Food was good. Been going here since they opened (6-7) months ago. Food is on par with most Vietnamese Pho joints around the Haltom City area. A bit pricier due to little competition around the Keller/N Fort Worth/N Richland areas. Still beats the drive out to Haltom City Belnap area though. I like the combination Pho w/ meaty beef balls. Hahahagagalmao that sounded a bit weird but cmonnnn man, we are talking about delicious food here (Pervs I tell ya)! I'm new to Texas and for my first day here I had Vietnamese food from this place. I ordered spring rolls and ordered the roasted pork with egg rolls with vermicelli noodles and fish sauce. The spring rolls were great but I felt that the sauce it came with could be improved. It tasted very watered down. The roasted pork with vermicelli noodles was fantastic. I enjoyed every bite of it. I also ordered a Thai tea and tasted great I really got to taste the Thai tea in this one and not just the cream. Their staff is friendly too, while I was waiting on my to go order, one of the employees offered me a glass of water, Thanks !
