Everything tasted so fresh. The pho's tofu was delightfully chewy but not tough, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the broth was the best I've had so far in Texas -- and I've had a lot of pho in Texas. While the spring rolls were right on par with other restaurants, the diversity of their spring roll offerings (like asparagus mango) will have me trying a different kind every time I come back. We went here for the first time yesterday and had a very tasty dining experience. We had been out all day and were starved so we were looking for somewhere new to try, I had my daughter watching one side of the road and I was watching the other and we were lucky to spot Vy's Pho tucked away in this large shopping center. We quickly pulled into the lot and headed in. We really enjoy vermicelli bowls so I am afraid that we were very predictable in what we ordered. We both ordered the pork and egg roll vermicelli bowl. Now because we are big fans of this dish, I think that we are able to judge the bowls fairly well. The grilled pork and been marinated very well with nice lemongrass marinade. The pork was very lean, no fat here, and was cooked just right. The egg roll was very fresh and the filling had lots of meat, the crust crispy and flaky. The construction of the bowl was slightly different that many places, with less emphasis on the lettuce and more about the noodles. The carrot was slightly pickled and you also had cucumber and the diced peanuts. We did not get any cilantro in our bowl, but we also did not ask. The fish sauce was very clear and tasty, but did not have in chili flakes in it so I added a couple spoonfuls from the condiments on the table. It all tasted great and when we finished we felt full and satisfied. Vy's staff was great, and while they seemed almost overstaffed, they all worked together as a team. We were probably helped by every member of the staff at one time and the lady that we assumed was the owner was very friendly and involved with the service in the restaurant. We were also on a bit of a time crunch, which we did not even have to bring up because the service was so quick. This is definitely a good find for us and one we will keep on our list of places to revisit when we are looking for Vietnamese. read more

This was a new spot for our family. We checked them out because my husband was craving pho and our usual stop was closed. Let me start out by saying I LOVE their meat combo choices for the standard pho noodle soup. And they have fatty brisket, which makes my heart sing. Oh and they happily added extra meat to any of their packages for a small up charge. What I really liked was they brought the extra meat out on the side. I quickly added it right in with all the mouthwatering goodness in my bowl. But it was nice to see the extra meat. My boys loved the kid sized meatball pho. It's great to have a place that does the smaller portions like that. The broth was good, but nothing special compared to other places. But don't let that come across as a knock on them. Customer service could be better FYI if you've never ordered pho to go , they I've u the broth in a container and the fixins, noodles, and RAW meat in another container. I didn't know this and was confused . Apparently,You put the raw meat in the broth and it is supposed to cook in it because the broth is so hot. Heads up would've been good. Personally I think that is unhygienic because by the time u get home it might not be so hot and I ended up searing the meat on a pan. I ended up going there because I was craving pho. They got my order prepared in an orderly fashion and everything tasted great. I got the pho with the Flank, eye round, tendon and tripe. Fairly decent Vietnamese food for the area, a little pricey. I worked there for only two months before I quit, the manager and her family who run the restaurant are overly money driven and greedy. The family treat kitchen staff with no respect and often belittle and PHYSICALLY pick on the dish washer. This place is absolutely evil. Management is unprofessional, often had to ask for my paycheck days after pay day only to watch her write it out because she "forgot". I've worked for another Asian restaurant who was tough but always for my benefit and well being. This restaurant was depressing to work at and honestly should be looked into. I do NOT recommend anyone to apply at VY'S. They often change staff because many quit after only a few weeks. I could not stand to work at place who treat the kitchen staff so poorly and unprofessionally. As a customer you will never see this side of the restaurant, but as a former employee, they are petty and unprofessional. They had refused to give me my last paycheck until I had brought back my ratty old work tee shirt I had worn for two months straight. I have visited Vy's twice after I quit and each time, they would not greet me or serve me well and purposely mess up my order. (Ex, no bean sprouts in my spring rolls. I would find more bean sprouts than usual. And they would be angry when I sent it back) Vy's is not here to serve you, they are here to make as much money off of you as possible. They charge for anything and everything extra. Decent bowl of pho, but I suggest Boba @ Noodles for decent pho and better service. Finally! Good REAL pho in Keller! My wife and I moved here in April and have tried just about every Pho restaurant in the area. The Pho Dac Biet I ordered tasted just like my mother-in-laws! You can tell they actually take the time to boil a beef bone and don't use powder. It's also a perfect balance of Saigon cinnamon, star anise, and whatever else you are supposed to put in pho. Our first tests were the Cha Gio (fried spring rolls) and Goi Cuon Tom Thit (fresh shrimp & pork summer rolls). We watched as the Goi Cuon was made fresh and not refrigerated. You can tell it is the real deal bc there is mint in the roll. A lot of places leave it out bc some "Americans" can't stand the strong mint flavor. Both were delicious! I had Pho Dac Biet (combo beef) and my wife got Pho Tai Bo Vien (rare beef and meat balls). Did I say the pho was real? The flavor was perfect and it wasn't greasy. My wife cooks pho at home and I know how tedious it is to remove/scoop as much fat out as possible. Kudos to the cook/owner. Best of all, we don't have to drive to Haltom City or Arlington/Grand Prairie for real Viet food. We will definitely be back especially since they have Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef soup) on weekends! read more
