It was just okay. The food was acceptable but nothing to write home about. I would take Seattle's Best in San Bernardino any day over Waba. I know the trend is "eating healthy," which translates to smaller portions, but I left here hungrier than when I entered. Like I said, the food was acceptable but the portions were lacking! Decent food, comparable to ono hawaiian. Got the chicken plate and the steak plate, over white rice with lots of scallions(love green onions!) came with a side of salad. About 7$-8$ each. My kids really liked it! Well return again when craving teriyaki. read more

Im a big fan of this place. I love the texture and taste of their beef plates. I've honestly never had a beef terayaki plate that compares. Their hot sauce is great and the sweet and spicy kick adds class. They routinely advertise deals, as good as it gets! read more

They don't give enough meat and they will not accommodate you. I asked for just vegetables instead of half with rice and was told they couldn't do that. The WaBa Grill in Loma Linda was very accommodating and did it for me... Just not the one in Highland. Shame. read more

I just got home with my food from here and I am not very happy. First thing, they got my order wrong by giving me two chicken w/veggies bowls instead of one chicken and one steak. That wasn't a big deal to me though. The worst part is the food. I am eating it now and the chicken is dry and overcooked and the veggies are rock hard. They were very slow and the customer service from the two girls working was terrible (did not greet me or say anything when handing me my food). Haven't been to this location in a couple years. Decided to stop by again since was in the areas it's my wife. Chicken was extremely dry and tasted bland and old. While dining, 4 new orders went in and not a single piece of chicken went down on the grill. They either precook all their food or reuse from the night before. Chicken didn't even have any grill marks and looked boiled (gray) Threw away my meal and my wife's. Disgusting. Will not be going back. Shame to Waba's reputation. read more

Gave this location another chance since previous experience with poor food quality and service. I'm happy to say I am done with this location, as their portion was far from mediocre. I think I only received 5 little pieces of chicken in my chicken bowl and 99% rice. Chicken taste more boiled than grilled and a bunch of kids who don't know a thing about good customer service. I just ate at waba grill for the first time and I seriously loved it. I am pretty picky when it comes to the food I eat because most of the time it seems way to processed. When I ate at waba all of the food felt fresh and unlike other places I felt very good about eating it. They prepare the food in front of you and it is a quick healthy meal. The flavor is amazing and I am not a huge meat person but their chicken seriously is amazing. I don't know what I was doing before I ate at this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back. :) read more

Found this out after ordering, producing the coupon as instructed by the Entertainment site. Been going here on & off for the past 3-4 years. Have seen it decline with employees dressed non-professionally, bad attitude, could care less about customer service, dirty establishment, etc. Tonight as I ordered my usual chkn veggie rice bowl, no cabbage, no onion, no sauce, I looked at my receipt that showed a $1.00 charge for "carrot & broccoli " only. I asked the gal why are you charging me a $1.00 to eliminate something? She said, "that's how corporate has set it up, there's nothing I can do about it". I said, well I didn't want onions either so are you gonna charge me for that too? I told her well you can put the cabbage on it and I'll pick it off, I want my $1.00 back! I really like the healthy approach, unlike like others said I think the portions are more than reasonable. I was there on the opening week and I loved the staff, the food was great. Since I like it so much I keep going back, but I have to say that the food quality has decreased, I've been there at least once or twice a week since they opened and the food it's not the same, the steak tastes like if it was precooked and dry and it was really fatty and didn't taste as fresh as it did in the beginning and this happened to me the last 3 times I went there, the side salad is not consistent on size and dressing amount. First of all I have been here a number of times. The food is average but tastes good so that keeps me coming back. The only reason I hate coming to this particular one is the RUDE cashier. He is a jerk! Sometimes I have questions about a certain dish and every time he acts like I'm stupid for asking. The team at this tore looks to consist of uninterested 20 something year old who could care less about quality, twice I have tried this spot and twice there was 1 person preparing the bowls while the others mingled around to really helping, the kitchen is in full view of to the customers too and it looked disorganized, unclean, and just a general mess. Waba grill is excellent. Every time I go there the service, the workers and the food is awesome.

So today I ordered a half and half bowl with veggies. First the lady on the phone was very rude, then I asked for no onions & no carrots. THEY GAVE ME BOTH WITH UNCOOKED VEGGIES. And rice. Very disappointed, definitely not going here again. Rather go to the one in Mountain Grove. Much nicer people & my food has always been cooked all the way through. read more

Tall, skinny, hairy guy behind the register is handling everyones dirty cash, then walking to the rice warmer and sticking his dirty fingers in everyones bowls. I honestly wish I could rank it a negative 5!!! Walked into this Waba with my boyfriend and his daughter at 8:15pm and was told by Timmy that they were closed early so we left. What was upsetting is that after we were in our car we could see directcly in the resturant and a young man walked in and placed an order. Not understanding why they were able to take his order and not ours we walked back in and asked the young lady why the young man was served and not us, she said that it was probably a friend of the young man be hind the counter "Timmy". When I asked Timmy why he would not take our order but took the young man's order. Timmy said oh I forget he had a phone order and laughed. I then asked Timmy for his manager's name and the store number 7 times and Timmy said he didn't know the number to the store but if I wanted it I could Google it . He did finally give me a manager's name but refused to give the store number. I would hope that the fact that we are Mexican isn't the reason we were refused service but I honestly fill that it had something to do with it. If the option for zero stars was available I would have chosen that! The food was ok, but the service was HORRIBLE!!!!!! From the moment we walked in the customer service sucked. At a very busy lunch hour there was a total of four people working. Two guys handling the kitchen, one girl stocking items (because that's necessary to do during a rush) and one extremely rude guy named David taking orders. If I wanted to be ignored and treated as if I were a bother I would have waited in line at the DMV! Which would have been a lesser wait I'm sure! Overall... Horrible service and very expensive for what you get . Ordered a bowl and asked if I could get no rice and extra veggies. Guy said "no problem". Charged extra , took forever to make and it came out big giant bowl of white rice . Pointed out order was wrong and the guy offered to scrape out the rice 15$ for a couple pieces of broccoli 3oz of salmon and two pounds of white rice I didn't ask for . Stopped in for lunch today and was so disappointed with my meal. I ended up throwing it away and going back to work hungry. The chicken was not only really fatty and flavorless, it was also chewy and really pink in the center. This isn't the first time my meal from here has been disappointing however, what urged me to write this review is the fact that I was served pretty much raw, bland, fatty chicken. I will not be returning and I would advise others to go elsewhere to eat. read more
