I had order one chicken rice bowl with no sauce and it came with sauce. The rice was super undercooked . The beef bowl came with no sauce instead, and also rice super undercooked.. Had to ask for green onions, only one bottle of teriyaki sauce, hot sauce was in packets, generic iced tea, I can go on. The chicken bowl seemed a little short in the chicken and rice. I am usually full by half the bowl and take the rest for later. The iced tea made me sick to my stomach. After two sips, I could tell something was not right with it. The chicken was just ok, as was the rice. Overall this was a waste of almost $10 with plenty of other great choices in the area. Ordered plant based steak. It was out of this world. And it wasn't for me. I eat meat. I tried it and let me tell you it was delicious.

We went here a few days ago for a quick lunch. As soon as we walked it we were smothered with a sewer stench. It reeked so bad people, like a sewer backed up in there or something. We immediately turned around and left. There was one other person in there, not sure how they could stand it. We left and got food elsewhere then went back to eat at the tables outside of waba. We sat on a bench right next to the side door and there was a dead cockroach right outside the door! So gross. We got up and left again. Food was fine this time... except they put sauce on one of our bowls & the instructions on that one was No Sauce...They fixed it for us but poor girl didn't get to start eating when we got our food. The drink situation left a lot to be desired though... first off they ran out of the fountain drink cups... So, we were given the mini water cups... Our other choice was expired warm Pepsi that was stored in their center cooler situated between the two registers... The cooler was apparently not working... The other option was the standup cooler had a few choices in it but no regular Pepsi... that another thing make me wonder if they are going to stay in business... Maybe I'm jumping the gun... but then again their food is good... So, they probably will stay in business... it was just very sloppy in there... when we got in there there were probably about three other tables of people eating and or waiting for food... so, it wasn't slammed but a few tables had sauce packets and napkins and sauce droppings that need to be wiped off the tables. Food is actually pretty OK. The service is abominable. We placed an order today at 12:37 while a manager was sitting there eating her lunch. We waited. Waited. Waited. Mind you there was nobody in front of us. We were it! At 12:55, I asked "does this normally take 15 - 20 minutes?" One of the people standing around in the back said "We have your order right here". OK - another 8 minutes and they finally started bagging it up. This is crazy. The staff is the single most unmotivated group I've ever seen, and they move like they have lead shoes. They're not even pleasant. We charge our Tesla in that parking lot so come here often. We always forget how absolutely mediocre this place is. I've stopped here in Indio about 4xs... this time around 5/11... it was AWFUL the salmon was piddly and freezer burnt and the Rice was CRUNCHY!!!! While waiting I used the restroom, which was more disgusting than a gas station restroom. When we finally got our food it looked unappetizing and after spending such a long time for out food and realizing how unsanitary the restaurant was decided against eating it. I don't know what happened to this Waba Grill, we haven't been there in about a year but it has definitely gone way down hill. I have never had WaBa Grill until my friend, Ashman E., convinced me to go. First off it was tucked away and hardly noticeable when you pull into the shopping complex. Parking is fair and they have outdoor seating too. The ambience was excellent, definitely felt like I was in some sort of Wreck-It-Ralph video game haha they had music playing that wasn't too loud and I was immediately greeted upon entry. Apparently, I showed up at the right time because it was not busy to the point I had to wait for a long period of time. If you hate waiting is recommend coming here 2pmish. I ordered a chicken bowl with the brown rice option...but failed to realize you can add Avocado for an extra charge, they should ask you or make that avocado on the menu huge haha. My food was warm and steamy when I received and delicious. The employees are friendly and professional. The negatives were seeing an employee stare at a pile of dropped food and walking by it like he didn't see it...luckily the owner, or whom I assume was the owner, saw it and immediately took care of it. I'm so disappointed how fast this place went downhill since its opening. Today I went in for the first time in several weeks, most of the tables were dirty and not wiped down, the beverage dispensing area was sticky and filthy.
