It's been great going here for the last year, the food was awesome and I enjoyed the tonkotsu shio with a side of California rolls. Also unresponsive to phone calls. The parent company has been having financial issues. Sad to see it go, I hope that's not the case.

So far, I haven't found it. Typically I order Bento Box Combinations, and sometimes specialty rolls. Sushi is a matter of personal taste, and I gave Yoshiharu Ramen a three overall for "OKAY". Don't get me wrong, I ate everything they served me, and it was all right. It just didn't WOW me. The restaurant is clean and looks nice. The service was good and my food was okay. There were a few minor things that annoyed me, but isn't it the little things that differentiate places that are great versus ones that are just good or okay? I ordered a diet coke, and they had no diet available. The miso soup (not pictured) that came with the meal was piping hot, but the flavor was not as good as others I have had. When they brought my chicken bento box, which included California Roll, there was no wasabi or ginger. I had to ask the waitress for wasabi, and then she said, "You want wasabi?" as if that was something unusual. Finally, my favorite sushi places have a list of items to choose from for their bento box. They may list 8 or 10 items and ask you to pick 2 or 3. At my other places I might choose, chicken and beef and a spicy tuna roll (vs California roll). Then you get those plus the soup, salad, etc. At Yoshiharu Ramen, it is a set list of items. You only get to pick a meat in the bento box (chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, etc.) Their other sushi or ramen may be terrific. So if you are nearby and want sushi or ramen, don't let me dissuade you. The reason I take the time to write a detailed review is so readers can understand MY criteria and why for me, this restaurant is okay, just not a 4 or 5 on my chart.

Exceeded my expectations!…read more I don't think I've ever seen a sushi place that offers as big a menu as this place. There are so many different flavors and options to choose from, so you're definitely bound to find something that you like. I'm not an expert when it comes to sushi, and I don't eat it as often as I'd like, yet I think that they provide decent quality rolls and ingredients. I highly recommend trying out their tempura or baked rolls if you're not sure what to get. The prices are pretty standard to other sushi places, but I think they dress the rolls with more toppings here. * Golden Roll: 10/10 - so tasty and generously sauced * Fire House Roll: 10/10 - perfect level of spice * Calamari Roll: 9/10 - comes with deep-fried calamari and crispy flakes We came during brunch time and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive, and we didn't have to wait too long for our rolls to come. The interior is actually quite spacious with plenty of tables and seating options to choose from. It's located in a pretty large plaza with other shops and restaurants, but finding parking should be relatively easy as it rarely gets crowded. Can't wait to come back!

We did the AYCE while the food itself was great, the selection felt a little limited compared to other AYCE sushi places nearby. There was no sashimi included on the AYCE menu, and the appetizer choices were also on the smaller side. The menu was also a bit confusing, so I think it could be clearer about what is included and how everything works. Service was great, though, and that helped a lot. The staff was attentive, and the food we received was good quality. Overall, I wouldn't say it was a bad experience at all. I just think the AYCE menu could use a little more variety and clarity.

I've been meaning to write more in my reviews, but nothing lately has inspired me to do so. Toro…read moreSushi made me feel enlightened! There's something honest about a new sushi spot finding its footing, and Toro Sushi leans into that simplicity in the best way. No gimmicks, no overreaching, just clean cuts of fish, thoughtfully plated, and priced like they actually want you to come back. The sashimi (even the "small") punches above its weight, fresh, clean, no nonsense. You taste the ocean, not the freezer. That's already half the battle won. The sleeper hit here is the bento box. It's the kind of meal that reminds you value still exists, generous without being sloppy, filling without feeling like a compromise. The kind of plate that earns repeat business. Come in around 5:30 and it's still catching its breath. By 6, though, the place finds its pulse, busy, lively, the kind of energy you want in a neighborhood spot that's clearly starting to click. Service was kind, and quick, food came out decent too. The tempura shrimp and veggies was crisp and not too oily. The room itself? Polished. Modern. Spotless. Someone cares, and it shows. But like any place finding its stride, there are gaps. The men's restroom is a one-person situation, and if you've got a kid, you're out of luck, no changing table in the men's room, us millennial dads are not afraid of a poppie diaper. Not a dealbreaker, but a miss in a family-heavy area. Still, Toro Sushi doesn't try to be the loudest spot in the room, it just quietly does enough things right to make you want to return. And honestly, that's the kind of place that lasts.

With the solid reviews, I was expecting a little takeout win... but this one didn't quite land for me. The rolls themselves looked fine, but the flavor was surprisingly muted--almost like everything showed up but forgot to introduce itself. The rice and filling leaned a bit dry, and overall it just didn't have that fresh, satisfying bite I was hoping for. It's one of those experiences that's hard to pin down exactly, just... underwhelming. That said, given the strong ratings, I'm inclined to think this might have been an off day rather than the norm. I'd be open to giving them another shot down the line, but this visit didn't quite roll in the way I'd hoped.

Saturday lunch break. I'm out at the karting track and suddenly that craving hits -- poke. Not…read moresushi, not burgers... poke. Quick search shows a spot about 15 minutes away, so I jump in the car. First thing I notice while checking reviews: Yelp shows 3.9 stars, but Google says 4.4. That already made me curious. Like... what exactly are people complaining about here? I even started reading a few reviews before going in. Walking inside, the place is simple, clean, exactly what you expect from a casual poke spot. Nothing fancy, but that's not why you come here anyway. What actually stood out right away was the service. The guy behind the counter was genuinely friendly -- not the robotic "next customer please" kind of vibe. He walked me through the options, explained how their bowls work, and even let me taste a couple things before deciding. That alone already set the tone. The ingredients looked fresh across the board. You build your bowl step by step -- rice, proteins, toppings, sauces. Pretty straightforward system, but everything was organized and clean behind the counter. The bowl itself? Really good. Fresh fish, balanced flavors, nothing drowning in sauce. Exactly the kind of lunch you want after burning energy at the track. And the price was honestly fair. I've eaten poke in places that charge noticeably more for basically the same portion. So yeah... I'm still not sure why Yelp sits at 3.9, because my experience was solid from start to finish. Expectations vs reality matched perfectly. It's not a fine-dining restaurant, and it's not trying to be one. It's a straightforward poke spot that does its job well. And honestly -- I'll definitely swing by again next time I'm nearby.
