My coworkers ordered the Chicken Gangjeong in both the Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy flavors. I only had a bite of each, but both were juicy and seemed to be made with dark meat chicken. The Soy Garlic was actually sweeter than the Sweet & Spicy, which caught me off guard, while the Sweet & Spicy had more of a mild heat than an overwhelming kick. I ordered the Grandma Tteokbokki at spice level 2 and added melted cheese and ramen. Those add-ons were absolutely worth it. The cheese made the sauce extra creamy, while the ramen soaked up all of the flavor and turned it into a hearty, comforting meal. Spice level 2 had a nice kick without overpowering the dish, making it easy to enjoy from start to finish. Overall, everything we tried was satisfying, and I'd happily come back to work my way through more of the menu. If you're ordering the tteokbokki, I definitely recommend adding the cheese and ramen--you won't regret it.

The restaurant was super clean, organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we make a trip to SoCal!

The boys were thirsty and there wasn't an option for water on the kiosk, so I called one of the cooks from the back to pay for a water and he rang me up. It was pretty rough in there. At one point I had to get up and grab my own fork by reaching over the counter. Once our food was ready, one of the cooks brought our food and I wasn't really feeling my meal, which was the dynamite crawfish bowl. I didn't like the sauce it came with. I just picked at the crawfish and left the rest. As for the boys meal, the fried chicken adobo bowl was REALLY good! I ended up eating theirs because my oldest son didn't like it, which was great for me lol. My youngest and I tore that bowl up. Anyway, the verdict is, I may search around for other options but I know that if I can't find anything else I can always grab a chicken adobo bowl but the service was pretty nonexistent. Their menu looked different. Wish I had taken a photo. You have an option to build your own boil by choosing your protein, sauce, spice level and add in's. They still don't allow you to mix garlic butter and lemon pepper sauces. You're forced to get the Kickin mix which includes Cajun even if you're not a fan of that flavor. They also have a kids menu with 2 choices, appetizers and family combos. Always intimidating ordering from a menu that doesn't disclose the pricing up front. That's the weirdest thing. Even restaurants in Beverly Hills have pricing on their menus. We got the family feast which feeds up to 4 people and had a combo of crab, mussels, shrimp, sausage, rice, potato and corn which was about $107. (Side note, they charge 50 cents for a pair of gloves and they do not provide you with a little towelette to wipe before or after your meal) This I have to admit was a pretty good deal considering it's a good amount of seafood. They serve it to you in a large metal bowl. We asked for mild since we had toddlers, but because of the Cajun in the sauce (that they force you to get if you want garlic butter and lemon pepper flavor) it was more of a medium, and the kids could not tolerate the heat. Which wasn't a bad thing since that meant more for us grown ups. Ordered them a side of truffle fries which was not too bad actually. We also ordered some of their specialty drinks which come in huge cups. We tried asking for two small empty cups so the kids could share our drinks, but they refused to provide that to us. According to the waiter, it's the restaurant policy that they can only provide water cups, but we have to figure out what to do with the water inside. (Insert face palm emoji) Also they do not provide buckets for your shells so we weren't sure what to do with all that water but drink it. The cups are thin paper cups to pair perfectly with those gross paper straws. By the time we finished the water the cups were pretty mushy already. Needless to say we couldn't finish all our food so we asked for it to go, reluctantly as we hoped they weren't going to try and charge us for those to go bags as well. Pro's: they brought the food out quickly. The food tasted freshly cooked. Con's: don't know where to begin. Parking lot sucks since it's shared with multiple other businesses. There is no place for you to sit and wait outside the restaurant. You'll need to stand outside by the parking lot and pray you don't get side swiped by some crazy driver. Menu has hidden pricing. They charge 50 cents for gloves and do not provide wipes for after your meal. They don't provide a bucket/container to place your seafood shells so it gets mixed in with your other food on the table. Can't even ask for an empty cup for kids. They don't let you customize your sauces your way. Sad to say after all this time my review for this place is still a solid 2 stars.

Once we paid, we saw the fried shrimp coming from out of the kitchen, so we knew ours were almost ready since they just needed to wrap them up. This place was the definition of a local mom and pop business. Mom was running the cash register, and Pop was in the kitchen. They were two of the sweetest people. She even came out to the dining area to hand us our food, rather than screaming at us from behind the counter. We drove home (5 mins away), and I unpacked the food to find that each box was labeled. It probably wasn't necessary since we could very clearly see which was shrimp and which was bulgogi but I appreciated the small touches. My partner and I each had one half of the shrimp and one half of the bulgogi and it as unanimous that our favorite was the fried shrimp. They do include a sauce that has the slightest kick, but in my opinion it was the best kind of spicy where it isn't painful and it's actually quite pleasant, complimenting the fried shrimp very well. Overall - we are so glad we tried this little local spot. The fried shrimp ritto was so good, I want to try other items, but I know I'll be craving that fried shrimp ritto again.

A 'ritto is a "burrito" style wrap-- white rice with seasoned protein, kimchi, special mayo, + optional chili all wrapped in Korean seaweed. The burrito itself is a bit fragile since it's large and the seaweed is the nice thin kind, so it's nice to eat it with a fork over a plate/box so you don't miss any bites I like a seaweed wrap which is fewer carbs than a flour/corn tortilla. The white rice is fluffy and sticky (all good things). The special mayo did it for me. The lettuce (romaine?) was crispy and fresh. There's space to sit inside if you want to dine in, and parking is easy as there's a lot. Located at the corner of Saticoy and Winnetka. Price is comparable to other protein-packed sandwiches in the Valley. And I like supporting local businesses that make yummy food. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Came here with a friend for the first time on a Thursday night. Inside the store is very modern and a bit rustic. WaBa is a freshly grilled fast food alternative. There are a ton of them in LA but not that many in the San Fernando valley. We saw quite a bit of students inside eating, it was quite busy. Cashiers welcomed us upon entering and were very friendly when they took our order. I got the new spicy pork veggie rice bowl and my friend got the WaBa Plate. The WaBa plate is half chicken and half steak with a small salad and an orange. My friend said the orange at the end of the meal kinda cleansed her palette. The spicy pork was very good, medium spicy with a hint of sweetness. Veggies were well cooked. After eating we both felt full but not overtired and heavy you typically get from other meals at fast food joints. Overall great experience and food was very tasty. After hitting the gym, hard pec workout and starving for good protein, where do you go in Northridge? WABA!!! I saw a coupon at my gym and decided to give it a try. I usually hit CCC but so expensive for the amount of protein. Nothing else in the area offers healthy protien like this for the price! I got waba plate with extra meat and was beyond full. Excellent option and great service, definitely my place to go after the gym!! Been almost 2 years and quality and service still the best! I don't usually write reviews, but the service I received here was truly the highlight of my day. I came in to pick up my wife's dinner (she loves this place.) I was in a hurry, so I had accidentally left my card in the reader in a rush. I'm so grateful the staff went out of their way to call my wife and leave a message letting us know it was there. I went back in and the two girls working were as professional as they were before they secured my business. Which tells me they care about their customers and that's always a nice feeling to have. I work in Encino, but decided to have lunch in Northridge to meet a friend. We went to the busy plaza by CSUN with lot of foods options. Calif chicken cafe was too crowded, Yoshinoya is gross and Panda, while delicious, is not healthy, so we tried Waba Grill. We were pleasantly surprised by how simple and attractive the menu items are. Lean protein with rice and veggies, what else can u ask for? Healthy, clean and very tasty. Took my wife for the first time while I know you close in 30 minutes how are you out ok steak for a WaBa bowl and why do you have all your chairs up so no one can sit . Very disappointed at the experience. And the food was like usual but why would one of your workers cut an avocado and only half way through then put on only 1 glove the same worker who is also handling money . Love this place! The food is fresh a good price range its across from campus so i love going on my break. Not only that but the workers are sweet and not stuck up. The hot sauce is so good definitely recommend it. The facility is clean and you get your food fast in case you're in a rush, there's also places to sit down in case you wanna stay there and hang out, parking is easy to find. Be aware that this restaurant is located along a strip of other restaurants in a very busy parking lot near the CSUN campus. So there is not much parking available during school hours. read more

Venue 3 stars: A little run down, but that kind of adds to the charm. Indoor tables and booths. No outdoor seating. Service 3.5 stars: Friendly and helpful staff but not very attentive! They are always short-handed, with one (very nice) lady taking care of the entire dining area and also acting as the greeter and the casher! Drinks 4 stars: Bottled beer, wine, soft drinks (Pepsi products on fountain with free refill and Coke products in cans), tea and coffee. Basic but sufficient. Food 4 stars: Typical Mongolian Barbecue setup which became popular in LA in the 80's... The tradition continues here. You get a bowl of protein and add your own veggies, noodles and sauces at the self-service station and hand your bowl to a cook who stir-fries it on large dome. You get a variety of meats to choose from (Beef, Chicken or Pork - I usually get half chicken-half pork). They have lunch specials, a la carte items and All You Can Eat. It used to be (before Covid) that you also took the meat from the self-service station and you pile up as much meat in any combination as you could fit one time in your bowl, but those days are long gone. You also get rice, bread (a.k.a. pocket biscuits - delicious!), fried wontons, fried (breaded) shrimp and egg rolls, depending on which item on the menu you select. They also have fried rice and a coupler of desserts to be ordered as separate items, but I have not tried them. One thing I have noticed is that their portions continue to get smaller and smaller... It's not like that classic Subway smell to be honest, this one smells even better. There were two ladies busy making sandwiches and I was able to order for to go easily. My go-to is a classic cheesesteak sandwich. The best part is the beef. It's tender and chewy with tons of flavor. I really like how it paired with the warm melted cheese. Every bite was very good. The inside is also very clean and bright!!! I know I would love to come back here again for more sandwiches!!!

When this location opened up earlier this year, i made it an effort to check it out, and it didn't disappoint. The 2 main things that made me become a Togosian (is this still a thing?) was the large portion size and the amazing quality of their ingredients. I ordered a large Turkey and Cheese in January when I returned to Togo's after a 5 year hiatus, and today I ordered the Chicken and Cheddar. It's still the same large portion sizes, and amazing quality ingredients. I will say I miss the oatmeal and raisin cookie not coming back, and the onion herb bread not making a comeback is a little disappointing, but it's still great! The resurgence of Togos has made me a happy camper, and the fact that I now live within a 10 minute drive from the Chatsworth location makes it even better!

The pork chop was done way before the lumpia... so far ahead of time that 3 customers after me got their orders first, and still no sign of the lumpia. The people working have ZERO common sense! They packaged up and covered the pork chop letting it just sit there getting all soggy simmering in its own steam. When I brought it to their attention... they weren't even planning on making me another bowl, they were just going to give me the soggy Pork Chop... until I said something. Still though, at this time the lumpia should have came out. I only ordered 6 pieces of lumpia... why was it taking so long? 20 min later... still NOTHING! Isn't this suppose to be fast food? After the manager begrudgingly refunded me, she didn't even attempt to make it right by either apologizing for the delay/inconvenience or even offering something... anything... to compensate for the delay and their incompetence!!!
