The steak good but a lot of it was just fat. I was looking for more meat. The chicken was delicious! If I ever were to go back, I would skip the steak entirely. This location should really post on the front door before you even enter that they don't except cash only card at this location. Not after you walk into the restaurant to then see a sign on there counter after you start to order and they then tell you they can't take cash. This would then let you know right away before entering this establishment that they only except debit and credit cards. Because I watched it happen twice to people today they were people who didn't have there wallets on them and only had cash and had to give cash to other customers so they could then use there cards to pay for there meals read more

Seen this place on Instagram and it is next to the shop where I get my hair cut regularly. On this day, I had time to kill before getting my hair cut and figured I would try this place for dinner. All in all, it's not a bad place eat. There are many options in the area and this place basically falls in line with all of them. The customer service wasn't great but wasn't bad, it was just okay. The food was good, a little pricey for what I ordered, but it wasn't bad. It really just didn't stand out for the cost, where I could have gone elsewhere and maybe saved a few dollars. I've been to the Northridge location several times and the food quality is consistently great and everything is always fresh. I would recommend the Waba Plate (half steak, half chicken over rice with a kale salad and half orange on the side). Although the chicken is a little less seasoned, the steak has so much flavor and melts in your mouth. They give you a big portion of rice too so it is very filling and can probably feed 2. The shrimp is also delicious and cooked on a skewer, the veggies are crisp and you can add yummy ripe avocado to any meal. If you are really counting calories, this might not be the place for you as several items are 600+ calories, but it is still a healthier option as there is not much fat and everything is either steamed or grilled. The cashiers are friendly and there's never been a crazy wait, but they do take a few minutes to make the food as it seems like it is made to order. Definitely give it a try! read more

I've been to this WaBa 3 times now and each time I've left disappointed, annoyed or frustrated (mostly with myself for repeatedly allowing myself to come here). The first couple times the person taking more order did not understand that I NO rice and only wanted steak, chicken and veggies. I thought it was pretty straight forward... I was given a salad and charged for extra protein. This happened twice and was explained differently each time. This third time I finally received the correct plate- a plate with steak and chicken over a bed of veggies instead of rice but as I sit down to eat it, the employees are being unprofessional, and annoying. I feel like this location is being ran by a bunch of kids, the table was sticky, and the teas were spoiled- they'd been sitting in the metal canister all day. The ironic part to the unprofessional staff is the hiring sign on the side of the ordering area reading "Looking for exceptional talent"! With all of this said, the food is average WaBa, but the service is subpar and I personal rate it at 3 stars. Unfortunately the parking situation is so ridiculous that I can't talk myself out of reducing a star, which is why I have a 2 star rating. My disabled friends, there is plenty of space to maneuver inside. But please be careful as the staff may not be as alert as they should be to spills or obstacles. Parking may also be a pain as there aren't many handicap parking spaces. I hate when I feel the need to write bad reviews, maybe I've come at bad times coincidentally. If you're looking for something quick, heathy, and inexpensive, this is the place to check out! I always eat at the ramen place above here and never really had any interest in it, but one day I saw it on Yelp and saw the great reviews for it so I decided to give it a try! I really, really love that this place is dedicated to healthier choices and the fact that there are only a couple items that are $10 or more. I ordered a chicken plate and a shrimp plate straight from Yelp, left my apartment about five minutes after ordering and my food was already ready when I arrived. I paid about $17 and some change for both plates and was very happy with the large portions! Plates came with rice under the protein, kale salad, and half an orange. The food wasn't super flavorful, but I enjoyed the freshness of all of it. The kale could've definitely used a squirt of lemon or something just to make it less bland, but I'm not really complaining.
