    Steak bowl
    O R.

Got a steak bowl for like $13 dollars to go. When I got home, I opened my bag to eat it, and to my surprise they barely put any food on it. It was like if they decided to charge more and give less. Hardly any rice, meat and veggies. I stood my fork inside the bowl and you can see how petty and stingy they were at filling the bowl properly. Last time I come here. There are better places who don't think half a bowl for the price of one.

We dumped everything we ordered. Veggies were sour. Disgusting!

This restaurant honestly shouldn't still be in business. The staff had an incredibly poor attitude. I asked several questions about the menu, and they repeatedly ignored me without providing any answers. To make matters worse, the food we received didn't even match what we ordered. The worst part was that the vegetables were spoiled. We threw away everything we ordered. There was clearly no quality control whatsoever. This restaurant should be permanently shut down. Don't come to this restaurant !

It been a while since I came to this Waba Grill location but since I was across the street grabbing dinner with my friends and my wife was craving her Salmon bowl, I stopped by here to get it for her. The plaza this place is in has more parking now because the main attraction store closed. I place the Salmon Veggie bowl off the app so I can just pick it up. I arrived early so I had to wait for them to finish making the food. They were a little busy inside but there was still some seats. They have a kiosk where you can order your food now as well so you don't have to wait for an employee to help you. The customer service was great when I was there. My wife enjoyed her Salmon bowl, she just wish the portion size of the Salmon was bigger but it seems like Waba Grill are giving smaller portions now.

The food is very delicious and always prepared very fresh. Their staff and management are also very professional and the dining room is very clean. I come here regularly and really like their tacos and dumplings!

Haven't been here for some time. Food is good, service is good, Katie, a new employee, was just absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, fast, professional and courteous. Got our somewhat complicated orders and made perfectly to our liking. Thank you Katie, we will be back for sure. Love the atmosphere, it was just so positive and refreshing.

This is my third time eating at waba grill (each time was this location). The employees at this location always provide friendly and helpful service. Usually my order is always correct and comes out fast and fresh. Today in particular, I did ask for green onions, but they forgot to add green onions to my order (I even asked for extra and he repeated back my order). It's ok, mistakes happen. I still enjoyed my meal. This establishment is always neat and clean. There's plenty of parking (huge shopping center parking lot).

Not sure why I haven't tried this place sooner but it is SUUUUUPER delicious!! My bf and my mom got the chicken rice bowls with veggies and I had the steak and rice with salad. First off, the salad dressing is sooooo good. Not sure what kind of dressing it is, very citrusy and good like the ones you get at KBBQ places? The meat was chopped up perfectly like Hawaiian bbq beef and the rice cooked to perfection as well. I wish I ordered extra salad because it paired so perfectly with the steak! My mom ordered take out and brought it home so I can't describe the service or ambiance but the quality of the food is 5 stars in my book! Looking forward to eating here more often! IG: @ammysalamii

    Upcharged almost $3 for this?

Used to love this place but the owner had lost touch! Quality has gone down and they upcharge for avocado that is always brown. Do better.

I paid $20 for extra chicken and steak and they give me this little a$$ bowl. The kiosk wasn't self-explanatory. Please replace these incompetent workers. This is waba grill! When I asked the EMPLOYEE he didn't even accommodate. No stars.

First time here, and it definitely won't be my last…read more The food was flavorful, freshly made, and hit the spot. My coworkers ordered the Chicken Gangjeong in both the Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy flavors. I only had a bite of each, but both were juicy and seemed to be made with dark meat chicken. The Soy Garlic was actually sweeter than the Sweet & Spicy, which caught me off guard, while the Sweet & Spicy had more of a mild heat than an overwhelming kick. I ordered the Grandma Tteokbokki at spice level 2 and added melted cheese and ramen. Those add-ons were absolutely worth it. The cheese made the sauce extra creamy, while the ramen soaked up all of the flavor and turned it into a hearty, comforting meal. Spice level 2 had a nice kick without overpowering the dish, making it easy to enjoy from start to finish. Overall, everything we tried was satisfying, and I'd happily come back to work my way through more of the menu. If you're ordering the tteokbokki, I definitely recommend adding the cheese and ramen--you won't regret it.

Adding ramen and cheese is a must! The cashier was also really nice. Even though he was new, he was able to answer all of our questions and provided excellent service. The restaurant was super clean, organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we make a trip to SoCal!

I didn't see any ADA parking at all. We were happy with what we got. Pork belly with umami gravy bowl and added 4 pc "eggroll" aka lumpia. It was really 2 lumpia cut in half. I probably should have ordered a full side but it was a perfect amount. Lumpia was super crispy on the outside. Very flavorful without being overly garlicky or seasoned. Came with sweet chili sauce. Chicken longanisa. It said ground chicken so I was expecting crumbled meat. It was formed into a patty. Very tender and delicious. Also served on rice with egg over easy, scallions and pickled vegetable. Since it was our first time here I got the two bun combo with pork belly and angus burger. Pork belly had a little kick in the sauce. The bao bun was a nice compliment so it wasn't too spicy. 2 slices of cucumber also in the bun to help cut the spice. The angus burger had a creamy mayo sauce with sautéed mushrooms and half cooked onions. Not what I expected but definitely would get again. The side of fries were thin, crispy and very well seasoned. There's not a lot of counter service. You order at a machine. I had to wait because I wanted a printed receipt. As far as I could see, only 2 people working. They brought our food to the table and that guy was very nice and cordial as we asked for a few more things. No one was eating there. Saw about 3 people order take out. Plenty of tables and a picnic table for seating. I definitely loved the wall decor and the clock was my favorite! They had Chinese, Korean and Japanese on the wall. We decided on Oi Asian which had great reviews, so why not. First off, let me say that there is plenty of parking, however, the parks are extremely narrow for some reason. It was a struggle to get in and out of the car due to the width of the parks smh. Anyway, once we got inside, there wasn't anyway at the register and after standing there for a while, I noticed the kiosk so unplaced my order there. There were only two cooks in the back. We placed our order and sat down. The place was clean but everything seemed like it was do it yourself. The boys were thirsty and there wasn't an option for water on the kiosk, so I called one of the cooks from the back to pay for a water and he rang me up. It was pretty rough in there. At one point I had to get up and grab my own fork by reaching over the counter. Once our food was ready, one of the cooks brought our food and I wasn't really feeling my meal, which was the dynamite crawfish bowl. I didn't like the sauce it came with. I just picked at the crawfish and left the rest. As for the boys meal, the fried chicken adobo bowl was REALLY good! I ended up eating theirs because my oldest son didn't like it, which was great for me lol. My youngest and I tore that bowl up. Anyway, the verdict is, I may search around for other options but I know that if I can't find anything else I can always grab a chicken adobo bowl but the service was pretty nonexistent. That chicken adobo bowl saved it. OOO 3 out of 5

We lucked out and got the last booth before the dinner rush. The place looked exactly like it did last time we came. Staff was still friendly. They don't accept cash, only cards/tap to pay. Their menu looked different. Wish I had taken a photo. You have an option to build your own boil by choosing your protein, sauce, spice level and add in's. They still don't allow you to mix garlic butter and lemon pepper sauces. You're forced to get the Kickin mix which includes Cajun even if you're not a fan of that flavor. They also have a kids menu with 2 choices, appetizers and family combos. Always intimidating ordering from a menu that doesn't disclose the pricing up front. That's the weirdest thing. Even restaurants in Beverly Hills have pricing on their menus. We got the family feast which feeds up to 4 people and had a combo of crab, mussels, shrimp, sausage, rice, potato and corn which was about $107. (Side note, they charge 50 cents for a pair of gloves and they do not provide you with a little towelette to wipe before or after your meal) This I have to admit was a pretty good deal considering it's a good amount of seafood. They serve it to you in a large metal bowl. We asked for mild since we had toddlers, but because of the Cajun in the sauce (that they force you to get if you want garlic butter and lemon pepper flavor) it was more of a medium, and the kids could not tolerate the heat. Which wasn't a bad thing since that meant more for us grown ups. Ordered them a side of truffle fries which was not too bad actually. We also ordered some of their specialty drinks which come in huge cups. We tried asking for two small empty cups so the kids could share our drinks, but they refused to provide that to us. According to the waiter, it's the restaurant policy that they can only provide water cups, but we have to figure out what to do with the water inside. (Insert face palm emoji) Also they do not provide buckets for your shells so we weren't sure what to do with all that water but drink it. The cups are thin paper cups to pair perfectly with those gross paper straws. By the time we finished the water the cups were pretty mushy already. Needless to say we couldn't finish all our food so we asked for it to go, reluctantly as we hoped they weren't going to try and charge us for those to go bags as well. Pro's: they brought the food out quickly. The food tasted freshly cooked. Con's: don't know where to begin. Parking lot sucks since it's shared with multiple other businesses. There is no place for you to sit and wait outside the restaurant. You'll need to stand outside by the parking lot and pray you don't get side swiped by some crazy driver. Menu has hidden pricing. They charge 50 cents for gloves and do not provide wipes for after your meal. They don't provide a bucket/container to place your seafood shells so it gets mixed in with your other food on the table. Can't even ask for an empty cup for kids. They don't let you customize your sauces your way. Sad to say after all this time my review for this place is still a solid 2 stars.

The woman on the phone gave us an estimated wait time of 10 minutes. When we arrived, we quickly noticed how small the parking lot was. There were only two spots opened. I'm not sure what it would have looked like if we came during rush hour, but at least there was spots for us to park in. When we got inside it was pretty small with about 15 seats available for dine in. There was one other party there at the same time we were. Once we paid, we saw the fried shrimp coming from out of the kitchen, so we knew ours were almost ready since they just needed to wrap them up. This place was the definition of a local mom and pop business. Mom was running the cash register, and Pop was in the kitchen. They were two of the sweetest people. She even came out to the dining area to hand us our food, rather than screaming at us from behind the counter. We drove home (5 mins away), and I unpacked the food to find that each box was labeled. It probably wasn't necessary since we could very clearly see which was shrimp and which was bulgogi but I appreciated the small touches. My partner and I each had one half of the shrimp and one half of the bulgogi and it as unanimous that our favorite was the fried shrimp. They do include a sauce that has the slightest kick, but in my opinion it was the best kind of spicy where it isn't painful and it's actually quite pleasant, complimenting the fried shrimp very well. Overall - we are so glad we tried this little local spot. The fried shrimp ritto was so good, I want to try other items, but I know I'll be craving that fried shrimp ritto again.

A 'ritto is a "burrito" style wrap-- white rice with seasoned protein, kimchi, special mayo, + optional chili all wrapped in Korean seaweed. The burrito itself is a bit fragile since it's large and the seaweed is the nice thin kind, so it's nice to eat it with a fork over a plate/box so you don't miss any bites I like a seaweed wrap which is fewer carbs than a flour/corn tortilla. The white rice is fluffy and sticky (all good things). The special mayo did it for me. The lettuce (romaine?) was crispy and fresh. There's space to sit inside if you want to dine in, and parking is easy as there's a lot. Located at the corner of Saticoy and Winnetka. Price is comparable to other protein-packed sandwiches in the Valley. And I like supporting local businesses that make yummy food. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Absolutely Outstanding -- Ask for Sam & Xavier!…read more We brought a party of 27 to GEN Korean BBQ on a busy Friday night, and the experience was exceptional. A group that large could easily become chaotic, but Manager Sam Peñalosa and our server Xavier went above and beyond to make the entire evening smooth, fun, and memorable. Sam deserves serious recognition. You could see her leadership throughout the night. She was present, attentive, checking on our group, supporting his team, and making sure 27 people were taken care of. That kind of hands-on leadership creates the atmosphere customers feel..and her company should be proud to have her representing GEN. And Xavier was a rockstar! Twenty-seven guests means nonstop orders, questions, refills, requests, and moving parts. He handled everything with patience, energy, professionalism, and a great attitude. Never made us feel rushed or like our large group was too much. Instead, he made us feel genuinely welcomed. The food was great, but Sam and Xavier are the reason we'll be coming back. Service like this turns a dinner into an experience and customers into repeat customers. If you're coming to GEN, ask for Sam and Xavier. We certainly will when we return. To GEN leadership: take care of these guys. They're doing your brand proud. Thank you, Sam and Xavier, for taking such great care of all 27 of us. You earned some loyal customers!

We sat down and waited at least 10 minutes just to be acknowledged, with no apology for the wait. We placed our order for two waters and one Coke. Our server came back with one water and two Cokes, and when we pointed out the extra Coke, she told us we could just keep it. Cool. We then waited another 10-15 minutes for the second water. We also weren't given scissors when we were initially seated, so I asked for a pair so we could cut up our meats and actually start eating. I also asked for a fork for my sister. She came back with the scissors and a spoon because they were "washing the forks right now." Needless to say, we never got the fork. On top of all of that, the vents at our table weren't working properly, so instead of the smoke being pulled away from the grill, I was basically inhaling it throughout the meal. Anyone who's been to KBBQ knows how much smoke comes off the grill, so having ventilation that actually works is pretty important. It made an already frustrating experience even more uncomfortable. Throughout the meal, the service continued to be extremely inattentive. It felt like we constantly had to wait or ask for basic things that should have already been provided. Then when we got the bill, we were charged for both Cokes. It's not about the extra $3, it's the principle. We ordered ONE Coke. The second one was brought to us by mistake, and our server specifically told us we could keep it. If we had been told we were going to be charged for it, we obviously would have sent it back. Charging us afterward for something we never ordered and were told to keep just left a really bad taste in my mouth. Between waiting to even be acknowledged, waiting for water, never receiving the utensils we asked for, sitting at a table with vents that weren't working, and then being charged for the server's mistake, the entire experience was disappointing. I've given this place multiple chances despite having poor experiences here before, but after today, I really don't see myself coming back.
