Called ahead of time to see if there were any deals. I was told about the 2 Chicken bowls for 10 dollars so went ahead and drove down. Got there, ordered, and was charged full price. I asked the workers why was I charged full price when I called and was told about the promotion. They told me I had to mention the deal in order to get it. Disappointed and disgusted doesn't even begin to describe how I feel right now. My coworkers and I visit this location frequently, but after today I know I will NEVER eat Waba ever again! We found maggots in our food and looking through the yelp reviews it seems like we are not the only ones!! The manager, offered us a 20$ gift card in return for our troubles but, seriously? I called 30mins prior to taking my lunch so that I wasn't rushing. When I got there my order was incorrect. I politely let them know. They took it back and let me know my order will be ready in a few. When it was time to go up and get my order I didn't have time to check if it was correct because I was already running behind. By the time I got back to work and checked, the order was WRONG AGAIN. I didn't want to be rude because the cashier was pregnant but not once did she double check with me what I wanted, nor repeated my order to confirm she heard correctly. I almost threw up when I found a disgusting looking worm parasite in my bowl as I was about to take the next bite! I get it, they use all natural products and no additives and of course, flavor sold separately. Bland. How people even say this is good is insane. I got the veggie bowl, a mound of undercooked veggies came out, my friends got meat dishes and could not decipher the type of bland meat they were eating. TASTY!!! I've been looking for cheap and good food in Rancho Cucamonga for about a year now, finally i've discovered Waba, after being sick of the normal fast foods. I think i've probably been here 5 times in the past 2 weeks since. I went to this location after an absolutely horrid experience I had months ago with the same rude undertrained girls that don't even want to be working there. Train a better staff. I came in about a half hour ago with an order online willing to allow WaBa to redeem themselves. The service was still atrocious!! I ordered curbside, called and they Put me on hold for 15 minutes when there was no one coming in or out of the store!! Finally walked in to the same rude girl who had enough time on her hands to laugh with her coworker and not acknowledge me. I asked for WaBa sauce and she rolled her eyes and said I had enough. I've been here a couple of times but won't be coming back for more. Their brown rice and grilled chicken are so inconsistent. Some days one or the other is great, other times the chicken sucks (lots of nerves, skin bits, even bones) or on rare occasions they are both perfect! The pickled carrots and jalapeños are also inconsistent. At $6.75 (tax included) per chicken bowl, it's not a bad deal. It's also not a great deal since you just don't know how good or how bad your lunch will be. Service is normal, place is clean, and other non-chicken options are on the pricier side: $8-12. Chicken is a bit dry but the steak isn't bad. Prices aren't bad ($5.99). TERIYAKI sauce is average. Nothing special. SERVICE: 3.5 stars Friendly counter service. Standard. Very good! This was exactly what I was craving for :) I didn't feel like eating fast food, nor did I feel like going to a sit-down restaurant to eat. The food here is supposed to be healthy (but I have yet to check out the nutritional facts that they provide on their website). I like that they have the veggie & brown rice option! Since it was our first time here, we ordered a variety of the meats: chicken, steak, and salmon. All three were very good! Their rice was cooked perfectly (not too sticky or undercooked), and their portions were fairly large. They did not overwhelm the plate or bowl with teriyaki sauce, nor did they give too little. The restaurant itself was pretty clean, so I was able to enjoy my food even more! I have never been to this place before, so I was worried that it would be hard to find, but the restaurant is clearly visible from the main street. I am a huge fan of Flame Broiler and unfortunately there aren't any Flame Broiler locations near my work. I saw the Waba Grill menu in our breakroom, noticed the similarities to Flame Broiler and I had to try it. After two visits I am hooked. The food is delicious, the service is fast and the environment is very clean and inviting. For you working types they have free wi-fi so that you can get your productivity on while you eat. What I like about Waba in comparison to my beloved Flame Broiler is that they have a greater variety of bowls and plates to choose from. In addition to beef, chicken, and veggies, they also have salmon. Not in the mood for a bowl? They also have salads, ribs, and even miso soup! This is a great option for people in the area looking for a healthier meal in the area. read more

on our way to dickeys next door but my brother asked if i wanted to go here, i said sure, i can write a new review :-) I wish i would have stuck with dickeys. i got the half/half bowl, chicken and steak over rice. Thats it !!, no veggies come with it and i also had to buy a drink, you would think a drink would come with a # whatever i got. I spend entirely too much money at WaBa but it's so worth it!! The employees (specifically Susanna and Alejandra) are always friendly and have become familiar with me and greet me by name when I walk in. I've been to all other WaBa locations in Rancho and this one is the best. Other locations I have found to have undercooked rice or fatty chicken. I've never once had a "bad" bowl from this location. I come to this location a lot I live near it. Every time I order my food I ask for no sauce no onions, no sauce on salad. Every time I get my order it has everything I didn't ask for. I try not to come to this location since every time they get my order wrong. I don't want to hear if you don't like you don't eat there, why don't you go home and cook for yourself, or why don't you go to some other place. It's takeout, I work out, eat really clean and this is my one guilty pleasure. Very good flavor! It's very similar to Flame Broiler, but this place is better. They give you slightly larger bowls & also have salmon as a choice in addition to chicken & steak. Their food tastes & looks a little better than Flame Broiler. Good amountof food for the price. read more

This location skimps you out on chicken and salad when you order the plate. At other locations they cover the rice with chicken and top off the salad. Here, you could see like half the rice. I was observing how the cook puts the chicken on the plate and she does it like she's scared. She took out a whole piece of chicken, chopped up like half of it and put the other half back in the pan. This Waba Grill is alright. I like how it's close to work so I can grab a quick bite on my break. Only thing is that it gets busy at lunch time, shocker. =P I ordered the chicken bowl. The chicken was kinda dry and I had several chewy/hard pieces of meat. Call me picky, but I can't stand biting into those. The other locations I've visited I've never had that problem. On top of that, the rice to chicken proportion was off. I was halfway through my brown rice and still had a full amount of chewy chicken. It's not like I stuffed my face with rice either. The staff was great and provided forks and napkins for my to go order. I just regret not picking up the hot sauce cuz that stuff is good. The food is healthy and filling. There's nothing in Rancho Cucamonga. This was confirmed when I worked as a temp for Aetna. A lot of hole-in-the-wall places, employees happy to be boring and backward. So I tried Waba Grill after receiving a flyer on my car windshield. I went and was pleased that you can sub in brown rice for white rice. The decor was bright and contemporary---the perfect foil to Hicksville. I've tried the salmon bowl, the steak and veggie bowl, and half and half bowls. If you ordered brown rice and they are out, they will refund you. You're left feeling satisfied and not overstuffed. The high protein content curbs your cravings for sweets in the afternoon. Waba also has wi-fi, so I brought in my mini notebook computer a couple of times. The staff are friendly, as they saved my keycard when it slipped of me once. My temp assignment ended, but I can try out locations in Montebello and Los Angeles. Finally, civilization in cowtown! read more

Really tasty fare. The green onions are really nice with the teriyaki bowl. They have a giant container of them and I noticed people going back for seconds. I think the green onions made this bowl more remarkable. It adds a little "umph" to it that is lacking in other teriyaki bowls I've had from other establishments. In fact, the last bowl I had at Midori in Pasadena left me longing for green onions... I had the beef which was really quite good. They do ensure that there is no gristle/fat on it, which pleased me enormously. I really enjoyed their hot sauce as well. Zero stars! Service was awful. We were bumped for a phone order. I can actually understand that, however, we were completely disregarded. After the long phone call, the cashier ignored us and began to work on the order making us wait even longer. When the cashier finally acknowledged us, it was only to tell us they were going to be out of white rice due to a large order. I turned to talk discuss ordering brown rice with my fiance and the cashier walked away and then preceded to ignore us. This restaurant is one of the most friendliest, cleanest, and tastiest spots in town! They always have clean tables and floors. The food they serve has an outstanding taste. The workers are so kind and friendly to each and every one of their customers that walk through their door. Started going there early this year when they opened and have become addicted! Waba is healthy alternative so I don't feel guilty eating there more than twice a week. I finally have a place other than subway to eat guilt free. The food is really good and they have several options. I usually get the half and half which is chicken and steak. Its really good and fills me up. I Occasionally have the salmon plate which is a little more expensive but also really good. The food is fairly priced and they are pretty quick with your order despite the lunch crowds. They also have free wifi and really clean restrooms. Overall I really like this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap healthy option. read more

I'm sorry to give this place 1 star. The first times I went it was great. I loved it. And I loved being able to get brown rice. The second time, we had lunch catered by Waba at work. I was so excited but when I opened my bowl I saw a nasty hair on top of the chicken :( I was offered another bowl but I was too disgusted to try another one. And once I find a hair on my food I am very reluctant to ever go back. You'd think places would wear hairnets to avoid hairs falling on food. It's careless not to do this. read more
