The restaurant is trendy, kind of dark, reminds of pub or club in a way. Service is friendly and they are super busy. I waited around 5-10 minutes for my order. The food is 4 meats and 3 sides. Basically they bbq the meat of your choices and put them in a to go box with rice and japchae (stir fry glass noodles). Rice is okay, japchae is savory and good. Dishes are greasy, flavorful, and sweet. I love the calamari steak. Good to order when you want more protein and noise and good BBQ dinner at home without getting the smells of BBQ on your clothes.

When we walked in, there was only one table of customers in the entire restaurant. The server saw us, completely ignored us, and looked at us with a very cold and unfriendly attitude. Fine. We stood there for about five minutes before a woman finally came over. I told her we had four people. She asked if everyone had arrived. I asked her, "So you can't seat us unless everyone is here?" She said, "Yes." Honestly, what the hell kind of service is this? So before my other friends arrive, I'm not even qualified to sit down? This is supposed to be a service business, yet they can't even provide the most basic level of service or respect. We turned around and left immediately. I came here to spend money, not to beg for a seat. If you can't give customers even the most basic respect, maybe it's no surprise your restaurant is completely empty. Do better -- or just close down already.

Air conditioning was blasting inside this establishment so please bring a jacket - Ample seating indoors and outdoors FOOD ORDERED: BERRY GOOD CLOUD PANCAKE -$20 Take Ur Seat Breakfast Sandwich - $16 BELLY 2 BELLY RICE - $18 Ube Basque Cheesecake - $9.50 Cortado coffee - $4.50 TOTAL: $74.00 ish (for 5 items) FOOD RATINGS: BERRY GOOD CLOUD PANCAKE: 7.75/10; I've had thicker Soufflé pancakes, but these were still very light and airy. The combination of the Berry compote, whipped cream, and fresh berries was absolutely delicious and will get you full. I don't recommend getting a dessert if you plan on getting this! BELLY 2 BELLY: 8/10 The texture of the Roasted Pork Belly was a great balance of soft and crunchy, and it was also flavorful. I wish there was one more poached egg for this dish because ours was slightly more cooked and not as runny. I would have like to mix my yolk with my dish. TAKE UR SEAT BREAKFAST SANDWHICH: 7.5/10; I was initially hesitant to get this dish because I don't like spice, however, the spicy Mayo was the perfect amount of spice for me. It was very filling. All of the other ingredients speak for themselves. OVERALL, - Great brunch spot with various fusions from Singaporean, Spanish, Filipino, and American influences - 4/5 items we purchased were at least a 7.5/10 - Don't purchase any other desserts if you get the berry cloud pancakes otherwise you'll experience sweetness overload - Will be coming here again!

One of our…read morefavorite Hawaiian restaurants is Aloha Hawaiian Barbecue in Costa Mesa near South Coast Plaza, so we had high expectations going in. The portions here were a little smaller, but the quality was amazing. The white rice with furikake was great, and the mac salad was fresh with a slightly sweeter taste, which I loved. I got the teriyaki plate with chicken and beef teriyaki, and both were tender, juicy, flavorful, and well marinated. The short ribs had an amazing glaze, and the chicken katsu, my girlfriend's favorite, was crispy, juicy, and not overfried at all. Their customer service was amazing too. My girlfriend ran in to grab our food and realized after coming back that she forgot the katsu and teriyaki sauces. When she went back in, the girl working was kind enough to grab them and even asked if she wanted to try any other sauces. Great customer service and amazing food, perfect pair! I highly recommend checking this spot out, and we're definitely looking forward to coming back.

This place wasnt packed at all. I arrived on a Tuesday around 7pm. Once inside I saw someone ordering at the register and noticed they have big touch screens that you can order at so I just ordered there. They also allow you to put notes on the order in case you want to make any modifications. We ordered the poke nachos and the beef combo. The poke nachos was BOMB.COM. it was loaded! Normally I've had poke nachos with wonton chips but this was unique because it had tortilla chips. It held up pretty nice with all the sauce they put on it. The beef combo was okay. It needed more flavor. Luckily they alsp give you a teryaki sauce too. The Mac salad was also very tasty, it had a garlic taste. Id probably come back for the nachos. That was delicious. They also have tvs playing sports so its a nice area to just eat and relax. Great spot!

One of the OG's that have been with Haven City Market since they first opened and since I first…read morestarted going there. If I'm not sure what to eat, this is always a solid choice. Sizzling plates used to be THE big thing in the early and mid 2000s with lots of boba places having them as as specialty (RIP Coffee Break and MJ's Tea House), but now aside from a handful of businesses and Pepper Lunch, they're much more rare. Glad that the IE has Sizzlin' Place as one of their sizzling plate heavy hitters. Aside from the sizzling plates, they have other menu items including fried appetizers, soup and dried noodles, and sides like fries and takoyaki, but if you're going to a sizzling plate place, you gotta get a sizzling plate, you know? That's decorum. Service is welcoming and friendly, and efficient in the safest way possible with the scorching hot plates. Seating can get limited due to the nature of the meal, but I've never had an issues the times I chose to eat here. Ambiance can be relaxed and chill when the Haven City Market isn't busy, but during weekends or rush hour, it can get a bit hectic and there may be a bit of a wait. A staple that you can never go wrong with is the hot plate beef and if you're a carnivore or if you're sharing, you have to upsize and upgrade it. The slices of beef here are just slightly thicker than what I'm used to at Pepper Lunch, but that just means it'll shrink less and get less stuck on the hot plate as well. You get a hearty serving of rice with some corn on top, pepper, and green onions. Like other sizzling plate places, you can always get pasta or udon instead of rice, if you're feeling a bit more adventurous. Super hot, filling meal that's easy to eat. Not the most flavorful sometimes, at least with what I order, and in comparison to other competitors, but hits the spot when need be.
