Decided to have family dinner night here. Which was great cos they have family dinner options. My family and I got the tri tip and chicken which came with Caesar salad and 12 pieces breadsticks. We got the tri tip with Gorgonzola butter. The meat was very tender and flavorful and the butter enhances the flavor of the meat. We got the lemon chicken. The sauce is so tasty. I did get pink in my chicken. We returned it to the person who brought out our food and notified them the chicken was still uncooked. They came back and gave us even more chicken. You get hints of lemon in the sauce and bombs of flavor from the seasoning and garlic. I like how the Caesar salad is over dressed. Some people don't like it like that. The family meal of salad was a big portion. I enjoyed it. The breadsticks are always good. Dip it in the sauce of the trip tip / chicken. So good! We also got carrot cake. The cake was delicious. Not too sweet. But when you eat it with the frosting it gets sweet. We went on a Monday evening. It was busy because I noticed there was a few big parties in line before us.so it can get loud. I really like Stonefire Grill, food is always very good, their restaurants are clean and always have lots of seating. Staff is nice and service is good as well. All great things, but I have this location 4 stars as I think they are victims of shrinkflation. I got the tri tip lunch with a salad and two bread sticks. The tri tip portion seemed very small, even for lunch standards, 9-10 very small slices, I can understand maybe the portion has gotten lighter, but even my salad, which typically would be full in the togo container with lots of toppings, this salad was half full and not many toppings at all. At least the two bread sticks held up, but do appear smaller than before, but really cannot remember. This won't stop me from visiting Stonefire, but it is something they should consider, if other customers feel this way it will lead to people slowly becoming unhappy and eventually will lose them, which would be a shame as Stonefire is great and they support Students with a 15% discount as well as Veterans with a whopping 50% discount, so they have excellent values for the community. The chicken was dry, the barbecue sauce had a strong vinegar-forward flavor, and the brisket was just okay. The cauliflower appetizer, however, was excellent and the highlight of the meal. Service was inconsistent. While food and alcoholic beverages were brought to our table, we were directed to retrieve our own drinks from across the restaurant, self service, casual vibe. When we needed take-home containers, we couldn't find our server and had to ask at the front. The ambiance is definitely a positive it's a cool and inviting space. And there were areas that had reserved signs, so seats on Valentine's Day were limited. I was a bit upset, but as soon as the food came out I was in a better mood. I was hangry... Unfortunately, I dropped a credit card in a unreachable crevice. A team member attempted to assist me and even retrieved a screw driver to help. And I made sure to express my gratitude. Though it was management (the GM) who I felt could have tweaked their performance. I understand the credit card fell in a place where it cannot be retrieved, but to communicate this in an unnecessary tone was unacceptable. Also ordered the side of hummus which was so good however I was disappointed when I asked if we could get some more pita bread so we could finish the remainder of the hummus and the server said they don't do that and to pay for it. OMG they have the world's best creamed corn ever!!! It's a must order item on their menu! Their Mac and cheese were good too. Tri tips were good if they're medium rare, they're really tough if medium or well-done, didn't really care for their ribs, they were burnt like coal.. and basically not eatable I've ordered takeout plenty of times, and their portions were definitely smaller compared to dine in. The food itself was okay, nothing particularly memorable or standout for the price point. For what they offer, I do think the cost is on the higher side. The whole experience reminded me of a Golden Corral-style restaurant. Long story short, there's a paper menu we can checkout to order for dine in or takeout right at the front. Once done and paid. We can self seat anywhere and they'll take our food to the table. Drinks are self serve as well. Besides that, the food was great. I've tried a few bbq spots and their TriTip was so soft and full of flavor, very lean! The bbq chopped salad was good too.
