Interior wise.......this Waba is no different from the other Waba's. The food is good, the employees are good and the restaurant was clean. Now, on the exterior side..........there is a food court with many other restaurants around (yelp it). The large Harkins theater is just west of the food court. The food is good and I always get what I expect. I don't have an issue with the food whatsoever. The food is good, but it's not great. I think it's mainly because almost anyone can make dishes this easily themselves. I normally come here after an intense workout, since my body needs to be replenished right away with some good ol protein. Nothing here on the WaBa Grill menu really stands out to me, but once it does, that's when the review will get updated. Until then, it's just a good location to go to for a fast bite. read more

Tonight we had the worst service ever. My husband and I ordered 2 Waba bowls and an order of dumplings. About 10 min after we arrived a party of 13 came in. They all got there food before we did. And the food was brought out to them. I went to the register to see if they forgot about us, and the cashier said it will be a few more minutes because of the dumplings. Finally they called our number after 30 mins. And once again the cashier said it longer because of the dumplings. We informed her that the other party also had dumplings. All she said was sorry. SO THANKFUL, my wallet slipped out of my shorts when I was eating and after I left for about ten minutes I noticed it was gone, I had about 500$ in it and I fursure thought it would be gone. I ran back thinking the worst but to find out that I think her name was Nadia or Nadine but the cashier found my wallet and returned it with everything still inside. I often eat at Waba Grill at various locations. This particular location provided the WORST service. I ordered a combo. The menu stated that their combos included a 22 ounce drink or a bottle of water. After the cashier rang me up, I asked for my cup to get my drink. She said "the drink is not included. We can give you a bottle of water for an additional dollar." I said that the menu states that the drink is included. She said that she knows that, but the menu is wrong. What?!?! I said that they should cover it up if it's not correct. I asked for my money back. They did refund it to me, however, both employees were quite rude about it. I will not return to this Waba Grill. There are many dining options in that vicinity. I'll make a different choice next time. read more

We have given this location 3 tries to get it right, and have been disappointed every time. First, they always end up burning the food. The tofu was inedible, it's ok to put a little crust on tofu, but when you burn teriyaki sauce, it's disgusting. Second, they FAIL to clean the grills, so the food has burnt flecks all over it. Really, only the rice is edible. If they messed up the rice, they would have lost another star. read more

I've usually gotten great service from other Waba grills... however, this evening service and product was something I could not help, but review. If only to bring it to the attention of the mgmt. I had approached the counter to give my order. There were two employees at the counter, engaged in a conversation with each other and another person, who was an employee of a nearby clothing outlet. As I stood there waiting to be helped, the conversation proceeded for the length of time it took for the non-employee's food to be prepared. Once she left, I thought I would be helped. NOOOOO... They two employees continued their exchange and refused to even make eye contact with me to acknowledge my presence.... Now I'm not a little guy... and I left my cloak of invisibility at home so I know they saw me and the 3 people behind me... I still waited patiently... finally, one of the employees took my order and I was allowed to pay for my meal. Praise jesus... However, thats not where it ends... I normally come here all the time an have never had any complaints,however wife went in before closing this evening,and they sent her home with the blandest food ive ever had,no terriyaki sauce,taste like meat was boiled with no seasoning,rather than grilled. Had no sauce or flavor on meat. Please teach your employees the last meal of the day before closing should be just as delicious as the first one served when you open. I have tried this place twice, & have been pretty disappointed both times. The first time(last week), I tried the tofu veggie bowl. It didn't have any flavor & was actually quite tasteless. I added 3 containers of "Waba sauce" and that didn't even help. The vegetable pieces included in the bowl were so large that I had to cut them in order to take a bite. The 2nd time I went (today), I tried the asian salad. The only thing asain about it was the overly spicy dressing; otherwise it was just like a garden salad. The picture of the salad on the website shows crispy wontons and edamame on the asian salad, but when I got home to eat it, the salad was simply lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber & carrots. When I asked if they had hot tea, the guy at the register said "I don't know, I don't drink tea". This Waba Grill In Redlands is the best Waba than other ones I have gone to. I have other waba around me but i always preferred to go to the Redlands one. Every time I go there either myself or my family, we always feel welcomed and great service. I was there a couple days ago and I soon as I walked in I always like that hello welcome. The cashier that helped me that day was polite, interacting, and always had a smile on her face. The way I asked for my food was the way I got it and it was great because otherwise sometimes I don't get it the way I want to. Went in tonight and ordered three bowls for dine in. The food was packaged and handed to my child who was waiting outside. I went in to grab some sauces and my son came in to explain they had set the bag down on the table that was directly in front of the waba grill and the top bowl fell out and spilled. I was upset with my child more than anything but I still went in to explain to the staff what happened, hoping they would replace the bowl. I explained to the lady and the first thing she says is "I'm not giving you free food". I was shocked! Well I don't want free food but what am I supposed to do, she went on to explain that those tables are not theirs so they are not responsible for them. I then asked why they bagged my food when I said it was for dine in, she said we don't dine in after 930, my receipt shows it was 9:22 when I ordered. By this time I was just furious with the customer service I was being provided with! I asked for a manager and to my surprise she was the manager, I say she because she refused to give me her name. She said she would refund my money which I couldn't understand why she wouldn't just replace the ONE bowl and keep her money. I still went on to ask for corporates number and who the manager above her was or even the owner, again she refused to tell me. Another worker walked up "Korina" with a rude smirk on her face, so as upset as I was I asked her why she found any of this funny!! She told me if I wanted corporates number I could find it online and snatched the paper that the "manager" had in her hand with the number on it and crumbled it up. Fast, fresh, and clean. Came here on the first day and got my freshly made teriyaki chicken bowl within 8-10 minutes. Teriyaki sauce has a great flavor, as well as the rice, overall quality of the food was about 4-4.5 stars the chicken has no gizzards, or skin attached like at Flame Broiler and Yoshinoya! Terrible service probably the worst I have ever had. Decided to go eat healthy and they were open till 10pm. Got there at 9:45pm for teenage girl to tell me they did not have steak or white chicken breast. The rude cook says they close in 10 min. I drove all the way there for nothing. These teenagers need a customer service class. When asked for the corporate phone number nobody happens to know it. I asked for the store manager name and they don't have one. The cook all sudden said he had his manager phone number memorized which I'm sure was his own number. This place is a joke I should've known not to go in when the sign says hiring cook. Never had a experience like this at WaBa Grill will not be going back to that location. I will be settling for The Habit.
