I happened to be in the area today and heard so much about WaBa Grill. Walked in a little after 12:30pm and ordered at the front. Got me a Chicken and Steak Teriyaki Bowl with fully loaded veggies and extra protein on the side. Also got a drink. It was a great portion for the price. The employee who helped me, (couldn't catch his name), was very pleasant, kind and helpful. I enjoyed my food very much and will definitely come back again, next time I am in the area. They have a lot of to-go orders and 3rd party. Good menu options to choose from. Restaurant was very clean, with nice music playing overhead and the parking was a whole other story. It is kind of cramped with other businesses being around. I circulated few times and ended up parking out on the street. Now, I can say that I finally went to this lovely place. I absolutely love this place! I get the plantspired (plant based) steak & it is so yummy! Sometimes they get it as a bowl with rice. But I really love it as a Taco Trio (with no boom boom sauce, no onions for me! lol). The tortillas are a mix of corn and flour, I think, and they're perfect, in my opinion! As a vegan, I love that they have tofu and the plant-based steak options available! I've also ordered here for a large group at my work quite a few times and everything on our order is always correct! The people that work here are friendly and nice. I highly recommend this place! Stopped by to grab a late lunch early dinner today around 4PM and noticed that the location was advertising a $5 happy hour deal (Mon - Fri 3PM - Close) for a 5pc dumplings and premium beverage combo. As I placed my order for two rice bowls, I also asked the cashier if she could add the happy hour deal since it was after 3PM, she proceeded to state that she couldn't add the deal because it wasn't starting until next month which is strange because the entire location had signage advertising the deal and there wasn't any specified dates for when the promotion would be running. I told the cashier that they should probably take the ads down if they didn't plan on following through with it or at least specify the dates the promotion would be running. She asked if I could wait a second while she asked the owner if she could apply the promo to my order and proceeded to text them, but didn't receive a response while I was there. She said she would attempt to add the promo and pulled out what seemed to be instructions on how to apply the promotion and said that it wasn't working. I paid for the bowls because I was parked in a 30 minute spot and didn't want to make the person behind wait longer to place their order, but honestly it seems like this location lacks knowledge of their own promotions. As I'm typing this the business icon for this specific location is the $5 happy hour promotion and the promotion is also being advertised on the waba grill app. If you plan on going for this specific promotion or any waba grill promotion in general, I recommend going to a different location because even with the promotion being plastered all over the store, the employee still wasn't aware of how to apply it or the details of it. I think this location would benefit from training their employees better to enhance the customers experience. The seating area looked clean, but I also didn't actually eat there so I can't speak much on the cleanliness of this location. The food was 2/5 stars as well, the chicken was dry and tasted more like fish and the steak was a bit burnt. I personally do not think I'll be returning to this specific waba grill location. read more

First time to this Waba grill. Apparently, they are under new ownership. Very friendly staff and I love the new fake (plant) steak! If I didn't know better, my wife family and I would have thought that we were eating REAL meat. The taste was incredible! We also ate the spicy chicken and dumplings- tried every sauce - couldn't really figure out which one I liked better. All great tasting. Rice was fresh- perfect! My girlfriend has been coming to this place almost daily for years and would always rave about it. Last time we went, we noticed the quality of the food wasn't up to par, but we figured it was a one time incident. Also noticed new staff. Rice was undercooked, order was wrong, Avocado was brown. Today we decided to give it one more chance. Unfortunately the experience was worse than the last time. Again, rice was even more undercooked, the chicken looked bad, ordered a extra portion of shrimp and they give you 2 lousy shrimps. We made a fuss, they gave us 2 more after waiting 15 minutes. NASTY! I was all excited to find a teriyaki bowl place but this one straight trash. First off the quality of meat was soo poor it was upsurd. Parking aside, this place is consistent with their product & service. Everyone is always so friendly, nice, quick & efficient. The rice is always made perfectly, the meat is always flavorful & well cooked, the veggies are pretty fresh & their WABA sauce is even now available in a package TO-GO. The portions could be better, but the quality is good when you need a quick, healthy meal that fits into a busy day. Don't park in the spaces for TO-GO orders, they will tell you to move. The lady at the front threw a tantrum & started speaking in her foreign language when I asked for more carrots and said she didn't have anymore - when clearly there was a HUGE jug of carrots behind her. Beware of online ordering directly from the website. I placed an order on the website for my family's dinner. The order was farmed out to Door Dash. I live in a complex with several buildings. The Dasher, Anton S., even though he was pre-tipped with the order, just left the order on the ground in a random spot in one of my complex's 13 buildings. It was nowhere near my front door. He even uploaded a picture of whatever random place he left my food to the Door Dash delivery system. I was never able to find where it was left not that I would have felt safe eating it if I had. It was raining that weekend and the ground was dirty and wet. We're also a pet friendly complex and I've seen dogs urinate on the ground in common areas. He never called and asked for any help or directions while making the delivery. When I called the store, I was told Door Dash had to help me. When I called Door Dash, they said they could refund WaBa Grill but WaBa Grill's corporate office would have to reach out to me to process the refund. 3 days later and nobody from Waba Grill corporate ever reached out. I'm out over 54.00. The store manager Rex, was very apologetic and offered a free bowl and even said he filed a complaint regarding the incident. At one time I frequented this place weekly. It was a go-to for a more healthy than typical fast food option. Upon my last visit, the chicken breast plate was totally inedible. The chicken had a rubbery texture that I could not chew through. It was disgusting. I approached the man behind the counter (I'm assuming one of the owners I'veseen probably 50 times) and told him the chicken was inedible, which he could clearly see as most of the chicken was still on the plate. He litterally groaned, grabbed the tray and turned around and walked away. I wasn't asking for anything other than for the owner to acknowledge the problem with HIS food. He didn't. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Waba Grill yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK so, my coworkers and I order from Waba Grill at least twice a month, sometimes three times....Yes, we love Waba Grill THAT much! For the most part, everyone orders the Rib Plate which is just pure goodness in a box, especially with their teriyaki sauce and hot sauce. I've NEVER heard any complaints from my coworkers, which is why we keep coming back here. I've been to the location and its very nice, tidy and the service is spectacular. Cookie, who I believe runs this Waba Grill location, is so nice and very tentative with our orders. They're spot on, in every order we send them.... And that's a surprise cause we send in orders for about 11 to 14 people sometimes for lunch. The quality of meat (ribs, steak and chicken) is superb! Never dry, never over cooked, always delicious. We're also big fans of the steamed veggies so make sure to order some on the side when you get your order, its so worth it, plus you'll feel good about eating it after you munch down on your Rib plate. I highly recommend ordering white meat when you get chicken, its tastier plus its healthier than getting dark. I will continue to order from Waba Grill, especially from this location and I'm sure my colleagues as well here at Blue Shield. I made tons of people here jump on the Waba Grill Band Wagon.
