I am very disappointed with my experience at Waba Grill. I have been here before, and it used to be much better, but this visit was nothing like I remembered. The quality of the restaurant seems to have gone downhill in several ways. The biggest issue was the portion size. The amount of food I received was much smaller than it used to be, even though the prices have continued to increase. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but I expect to receive a reasonable portion for the price. Instead, I left feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. Another problem was the extremely long wait time. It took much longer than expected to receive my food, even though it didn't seem busy enough to justify such a delay. Customers shouldn't have to wait that long for a simple order. The customer service also wasn't very professional. Some of the younger employees appeared to be more interested in joking around and talking with each other than helping customers or preparing orders efficiently. It gave the impression that the restaurant wasn't being managed very well. Ordered 2 bowls and the potstickers. Everything tasted fresh and the food was out really quickly. Not sure about the negative reviews, but I didn't experience anything negative. This was my first time visiting not just this WaBa but any WaBa Grill. It was a perfectly fine experience. I only ordered take out so this review is basically about the food. My mom visits this location all the time and she has always had a good experience. Normally food 'to go' isn't that good when you finally arrive home but this place is an exception. It tasted just fine! We had some veggies at home so I ordered a couple chicken bowls without the veggies. I also requested white meat chicken and they said they would do their best to give me more white meat at no extra charge! I did pay extra for the avocado and it actually went very well with the meal. The bowl was plenty of food for one person. I wasn't very hungry so I only ate half my bowl for dinner and enjoyed the rest of the bowl for lunch the next day. I know people mentioned the service is typically not the best but my server was just fine. He was friendly enough and very patient with me as I stumbled through the menu as I had never been there before. Maybe I just got lucky but I had a great experience!
